Yesterday I go over a speed bump and hear an awful thud from the trunk. I pull over and walk to the back of the car to notice that the muffler is hanging a little low. I look under the back and see that the mounts on the pipe and muffler had rusted through. I search Google for some places in the area. All the ones I looked at, before hand, got poor-fair reviews. Then I find Larrys Meineke and it has 3 excellent reviews. Im very picky about which mechanics and Larry got 3 excellent, so I gave him a shot. I called and he was extremely nice on the phone. He said I can bring it down anytime and I said 8am the next day. In the mean time I had strapped the muffler up with galvanized steel strap from home depot (worked great). I get to the store a little early and the office door was open at 7:50. I walked in and Larry was dealing with a customer already. I stood back and watch, he was very polite, accommodating and professional. So, first impression was good so far. After they are done I introduce myself and remind him of our call yesterday. He says okay lets get the car up on the lift and see whats going on. He has a look and tells me that "its as you say". The hangers are broken and it would be good to replace the exhaust system. Which is what I asked for the previous day. He took a moment and wrote up a quote on the computer. He explained what each part was for and what the labor would be. He said "if you give me the go ahead, the car would be done around lunch time". I said, go ahead. Lunch time rolls around and I get a call from Larry telling me that the car is ready and I can pick it up any time between now and 5- 530. I get to the shop and Larry greets me and tells me the bill is exactly what he said it would be that AM. I have a 5 Star dodge mechanic friend and he confirmed that the price was about right for parts and labor. I will definitely go back to Larry for any other fixes and I will recommend his shop to anyone that asks for a good mechanic! Thanks Larry, keep up the good work!

I have been going to Larry for Exhaust work since I can remember. Always a great price and and excellent work. 2 months ago My suburban was making some rattling noise from the exhaust. Larry put it on the lift and said "soon enough" you will have to replace the exhaust. Larry told me just drive it and see what happens if it get worse bring it back. Thats Larry.... the man could have put it on the lift and said you need to do it now. as usual an honest opinion was given and it gave me some time to save up some cash. Here we are today 2 months later and the cat got clogged up. Went to larry - said I needed a cat - The man called every outlet he knew of to get the best price for me. Cats for suburbans are expensive - I know that for a fact. Larry called me - we set up an appointment for the next day. They took out the original cat and inspected it - Turns out it did not need a cat and the clog was from pieces that broke off from another area of the exhaust. Larry fished out the broken pieces - welded in some new pipe and I was on my way. In my honest opinion any other mechanic would have put in the cat they ordered regardless. What a surprise when he told me the good new saving me 2/3rds of the original quote. The truck is a 99 and believe me with 7 kids every penny counts. I recently had to travel to Long island on a business trip when I developed some problems with my Ford Explorer. I had to get home to my 84 yr old mother that I take care of and was worried about making it back. After reading some of the reviews about this particular Meineke I decided to schedule an appointment. The owner Larry, couldnt have been more gracious and professional. Never mind all the service awards he has displayed on his wall for great customer service, he helped me out and got me home! He went above and beyond to help me. I have been to Meineke several times, and have dealt with Larry each time. I do not know much about cars so I have to be very careful who I take my car to. I found that Larry never went straight to the Big money repair,and he certainly could have, because I was expecting it to be that. He always takes the time to explain what the problem is, and what needs to be done. He has worked on my daughters car and also a few of my friends cars. I feel quite comfortable recommending this shop to anyone. I believe he takes great pride in his work and reputation. Roberta

Finally, a mechanic we can trust! I called Larry after seeing the positive reviews online (vs. less than stellar revies of other shops) and I absolutely know why he received them. Larry (the owner) was very eager to help after an unfourtunalte situation happened with my car. He was even willing to keep his shop open for me so I could make it from work. He was very professional and right on target with pricing (not inexpensive, but not overpriced). We will absolutely be going to Meineke in Huntington station for all of our future needs. Drove in with my 2015 Challenger R/T Plus for an exhaust installation. Very kind gentleman with a friendly presence and a very professional demeanor. The job took roughly 45 minutes and his rates are very reasonable for the work done. I had a Borla ATAK installed and it came out looking like it was installed in the factory, courtesy of his mechanic Lou. All in all he is the only shop I will be going back to for major installations for my car!

Larry is a super laid-back guy, not pushy at all, real down to Earth. He knew exactly what I wanted and delivered. Not money-hungry at all like the other places (his prices are a tiny bit high, but doesnt push for un-wanted or un-needed services). Explains everything clearly, and the work is FAST. I am always doubtful going to these "dime a dozen" shops, but there is no doubt that if I have a problem in the future, I will return.

Larry was the opposite of all the negative (other) shoppes are... Courteous and understanding without soaking his customers is the name of the game here. I had them install a Magaflow Cat w/ Magnaflow Cat-Back on my 95 Ranger Pickup. Complete w/ Welds and hangers. Truck hasnt been this quiet since it was born! I recommend Larry and crew to all... Happy motoring!

I went in to have some exhaust work done and an oil change, Wouldnt accept coupon , threw out different prices for different jobs on the exhaust pipe. I got the same exact thing done at Oakwood for $100 less that what Larry quoted.
