I originally contacted Extra Space on 7/2/09 to inquire. I was given rates and found out there was availability for the unit size I needed. I made an appointment for Monday 7/6/09. I happen to be off on 7/3/09 and decided to drop in to see if I could sign up that day, I met Steve (manager of this facility) and he was more then happy to help me (even though they were closing in about 10 minutes). Steve walked me through the paperwork (very easy process) and drove me out to the unit. The unit was very clean and the door worked great. There was a deal going on that Steve informed me of that saved me some money. The whole place was very clean and well kept. Steve made the experience go really smoothly and I felt like I was being taken care of rather then just a unit number somewhere. Overall my experience with Extra Space has been really great so far. Id recommend this place to anyone looking to rent in the Kingston area or even Ulster County, its really convenient to everywhere in Kingston and very close the the NYS Thruway.

I recently moved out of a four bedroom house into a one bedroom apartment, therefore having to find a place for a large amount of furniture and home goods. I called several places and after talking to your rep, Brenn, decided I was going to go with your facility, where myself and former housemate rented three, each one of us got one and we shared a third. All the information that we got from the time I spoke to her on the phone till present was completely accurate and consistent. Anytime I have needed to speak to her she has always been available and showed extreme professionalism in her job. The office is always clean and organized, and the grounds always clean and well kept. She is always friendly and cheerful, willing to go out of her way, and asking frequently if there are any issues, which I can gladly say have been none. Brenn is always professional, polite, and definitely an asset to your company. I would definitely recommend this facility to others. George W.

The facility is located close to the Thruway and on Sawkill Rd (which every local knows is a great shortcut to 209 from uptown Kingston). The staff I interacted with were helpful enough to meet my needs, but were not intrusive or obnoxious. Gate hours are clearly explained, consistently followed, and easy to remember; the gate recently got a nice upgrade for better security and ease of entry/egress. The only downside is mandatory insurance: even if youre storing items of low value, theres a $9-10 monthly surcharge to buy ExtraSpaces subcontracted insurance policy unless you can prove that your homeowners or renters insurance covers the contents of the storage unit. Be mindful of this extra charge when price shopping, and make sure youre getting a fully loaded cost.

The Sawkill Road facility in Kingston is very well maintained - extremely clean, well lighted, easily accessible - and the staff is very friendly and helpful. My experience with Extra Space Storage has been very positive and I would highly recommend them for anyone who is looking to rent storage space. Update - I just emptied my unit after three years - I had chosen a climate controlled unit - everything was in perfect condition, not a hint of moisture. I would not hesitate to use Extra Space Storage again in the future if I need storage space again.

The staff are always friendly and Professional. From renting the first unit to upgrading to a larger unit. They went out of their way to explain all the details. They took me to the unit to show me where it was. They are very helpful when I come in to pay. I always get a reminder when its near payment time. They make it a pleasant experience every time I come in. Im grateful for all the services Brenlie and Rich provide. They go above and beyond in the performance of their duties here. This is a great place to store your stuff and/or vehicles. The units are clean and up to date. The actual location is very safe and secure. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Everyone here is great! I have mainly dealt with the manager Steve and he is awesome and will help you with any/all of your needs, and If you are lucky you will get to meet his cool doggie sidekick too! The online bill pay and reservation system are super convenient and it allows you to manage your unit(s) 24/7 Thank You guys, keep up the great work!

In the last month I have cleaned out a ten by thirty foot space,, with ten years of stored stuff. It is a painful yet rewarding experience, (feng shui definitely helps btw). During the time that we were there, and over the phone, Brenlie and Rich maintained a truly warm and professional atmosphere. They also seemed to work very well as a team. The facility is well lit, and in an easily accessible location. It is also right next to Jetos a driving range/ nine hole golf course:) A plus extra storage _N

Exceptional Customer Service! The managers and associates are very helpful! Their customer service was unbelievable through my entire experience: first phone call I received to set up an appointment, visiting property, moving in, and any time I visit to use my storage space. I have never used a storage facility and I did a lot of price comparison and review research online. Due to the outstanding customer service this was the only place I decided to visit and the rate is fantastic.

i used this joint back in 2012. Steve was the manager and he was the best. Bent over backwards for me on more than one occassion. Then i dealt with the dysfunctional district manager. I have never met a bigger wacko in my life. he was not willng to compromise. He refused to work with me at all. He even got loud. I informed him that is unacceptable. Next time ill store at Allspace. Never again.the name Johnson fits him.

I mainly chose Extra Space because of the manager Steve Mascia. I went to the store and he showed me around. Was very knowledgable and articulate. I went back on or around August 12th to rent a 5x10. At which point i was told Steve was no longer with the company. A total deal breaker. I found out through a friend of mine that Steve had been let go. A terrible decision. Allways Moving and Storage , here i come. .

I have used several storage facilities over many years. By far and away this is the best. Steven Mascia the manager actually helped, me on his own time to move my things in! Assistant Mgr Richard Baton is also wonderful - they work great together as a team. Calls are always quickly returned. No need to shop around, this IS the place to trust your valuables. - Dennis

This is a very good place to store your stuff if you dont have room in your house or garage or tiny apartment.Steve walked me through all of the online procedures and i would have had a few difficulties if he had not.I found the staff to be very understanding and courteous.I would recommend extra space to my friends.All in all a great place for my stuff.
