No no no, i got crochet braids from Maureen(sorry if im misspelling) and the experience was really upsetting. First let me start with whoever said she knows how to care for natural hair uh nope yall were either lying out your a** or had that 3a hair type cause im 2 years 4c natural and you know the coils are real tight on my head so after reading the review that said she knew how to maintain and care for natural hair i thought i was gonna be in good hands. She was pretty much ripping my curls out with the comb and i didnt even notice how much was being ripped out till i was seated for a few for her to take care of another customer.... There were two other chairs there but no employees in sight hmmm but anyways there were balls of hair allover the floor from my head but i just shrugged it off thinking maybe it was just hair that shedded already smh. I remembered taking a glance in the mirror and noticing my hair length was unusually short but i also shrugged that off. But now to the braiding of the cornrows, when i tell you i felt my edges slowly getting pulled to the back of my neck... My head felt like it was on fire with each braid she kept on adding. I couldnt move my head at all. So when she was finally done with one of her other clients she went on to adding the senegalese twists i bought from another store myself. Like theres nothing wrong with chatting away with your clients and all but if you aint noticing that your pulling at your clients hair and scalp while doing so maybe you should just focus only on one thing which is you doing your clients hair then!!! Now we get finished in like what i think was 20 mins. cause i even questioned her afterwards asking if she was sure shes finished and she confidently said yeah so im walking away as cripple and i paid her 130$ which i thought was reasonable for a good crochet braids session but my experience was beyond horrible. Oh and may i add that i even had a pack left with empty spaces in my hair where you could see that theres cornrows underneath like cmon!! Never again will go back there or even recommend for others to try. Like shes a very nice lady w good advice for future goals and all but i dont think doing hair is your forte, sweetie. Now im left with scabs at where i had hair in the back of my head like she literally scalped me with tight braids and im pretty sure i lost lots of length and probably bald patches :(

I started going to Maureen almost 2 years ago. I had a relaxer at the time and had just cut most of my hair off because it was in such bad shape. 2 years later I have full head of my natural hair. Maureen is very focused on good hair care and is very versatile in her range of services. She has done cornrows, latchet braids, weaves, blow and straighten, etc. (but no box braids---too much time). Because I value my time in the salon i was happy to have an alternative to the box braids in using the latchet braids. They are my go to style for the summer. I would highly recommend a trip to Creative Touch.

I absolutly loved my experience at this nail salon.I am Afican American and i have had troble finding a salon that could cater to my hair needs. I recently have stopped relaxing my hair and ive gone natural which most places have a problem dealing with. While doing my hair I was given advice on how to style it when it was curly and good products to use. When my hair was finished it had a shine and a bounce that made me feel like i could be on the cover of essence magazine. I love this salon and will be sending all my african american friends and family there!

I love this salon. I have long thick coarse hair and Maureen is one of the few people I trust to touch my head. I go primarily to have my hair relaxed. I get a very good relaxer and my hair is well-conditioned and healthy. I have been a client for over five years and would not consider going elsewhere.

Maureen always goes above and beyond to get the hair cut just right:) Im always very happy with it, Im able to show her a picture and she cuts my hair exactly the same way, which is always a difficult punky stop style that is pretty hard to do if not experienced

I found Maureen by doing research and she is wonderful. I do not like my hair braided tight. She does what I ask her to do and she does it very well!!! No more headaches, or bumps. She is truly a blessing in my life. Go see her!!!
