I brought a friend with me today, just to show her what it was like and to hopefully get her to sign up. It was her first time and she was pretty impressed. However the sales guy Bill...who i also notice is mentioned in previous posts..was extremely pushy. My friend just finished some intense college classes which caused her to take a break from working. She literally could not sign up right away. However after seeing the gym and what it was like she had every intention of joining when she resumed work. Bill just did not seem to understand that. I agree with the previous post on him, he is arrogant, pushy, and just straight rude. He lied about the prices and deals you can get. He tried to tell my friend that he only has a certain amount of passes to give and she would not be able to get a student discount afterwards. Like this is her only chance. Which is a big lie. I encourage most of my friends from school to sign up at UFC. I have had no bad experiences with any of the staff members there, including the sales personnel. Bill, on the other hand..needs to take a communications class or seek some type of training. He is a bad representation of UFC Gym and will really discourage people from joining with his aggressiveness. Generally speaking, I like UFC. I love that it is 24/7, theres a lot of machines and a sauna. I love the sauna and the just the girls locker room in general. It is very spacious, lots of lockers, bathrooms and even showers if you want. I enjoy the yoga classes. Today I attended one with a really good instructor, I believe her name is Inbar Ben Ami. It gets fast paced but once you get used to it, it can be very rewarding...you just cant give up. This is the first gym Ive been a member of and I wouldnt see myself going anywhere else. I looked over a few of the previous reviews and I do agree about the Arm Bar..a lot of the employees do hang out and occupy the area. Tonight they were sitting around and having Dominoes Pizza. The drink I normally got wasnt made as well as it usually is, not sure if it was "rushed" or not due to the socialization. I was a bit disappointed but Im not too upset. Maybe they should have an area designated for the staff. I think the person who signed me and my friend up was Junior...Im not sure because it was a long time ago. I also met a personal trainer Brittany. She is very friendly and understanding.I would definitely recommend her. (The people at the front desk are always friendly as well.) Anyway, I hope Bill reads this and reflects on his attitude and if you are thinking of joining UFC, thats great..the gym, in my opinion, speaks for itself...just please go to another salesperson. Someone who will be honest with you and not push papers in your face to sign and be deceitful. <3

Yelp had taken this review down for some reason, so here it is again... Slowly going down the sewer. quick story- went there early last week (730am) and the mens locker room looked like & smelled like a construction site porta-potty. bathroom was completely out of toilet paper, found manager Jordan on the floor in his usual spot---on the computer. told him about my problem and he said he didnt know where to find any toilet paper. keep in mind that Jordan had signed me up for this gym 2 years ago! this guy has been here that long and does not know where anything is in this place. went and did cardio for 30 min, what does jordan do during that 30 minutes???? did he find out where the stash of TP was? NOPE! he ate breakfast, checked his gmail, & even suggested that i should use paper towels. then i had to track down the custodial staff member and ask him for TP. there are 2 storage closets in this place and the TP was in one of them. this problem easily could have been fixed in 1 minute, but breakfast & gmail were clearly more important than customer service. -also the middle toilet seat in the mens bathroom has been broken for well over a year - there is never any handsoap and the paper towel dispensers are empty 75% of the time. its just a matter of time before all this filth spills out on the gym floor. and based on another review i saw, the womens bathroom isnt all that clean either. lots of things tend to go unnoticed around here and it is scary. the LA fitness that is being built down the block cant open quick enough.... Since I wrote this review, Jordan had reached out to me on yelp and said that he wanted to apologize to me in person, Ive been to the gym 5 times since then, saw him each of those 5 times, and all 5 times he was on the computer. I even walked by him and gave him a head nod, still no apology, wont hold my breath for one...

Long time member, prices are good and 24 hours is awesome. Reason for not giving a better review is currently because of the crop of some of the trainers and members here who make the place uncomfortable to workout in. I trained at a few hardcore gyms over the years and Im never concerned with that whole "meathead" bravado from people while they train, but here at UFC over the last year or so Ive noticed that more popular members and even some trainers are monopolizing equipment. Just the other night I was there waiting for one of the platforms when a trainer and his two friends skipped ahead of me once the platform opened up. I informed the guy that I was waiting ten minutes and he gave me this line "hey sorry dude but Im training these two and we need to use this". I ended up working out on the squat rack and during the next 15 mins I saw them barely do any working out. They were taking videos of each other and posing in front of the mirrors. Im in my 40s now, Ive trained for over 20 years and Ive seen just about everything at the gym. I still enjoy working out here but this relatively new crop of trainers and members that Im seeing has me questioning if I should continue with my membership. The two things that I hate most in any gym is a filthy locker room (thankfully UFC is not too bad) and "trainers/members" who ruin the environment for everyone around them. Which unfortunately Ive really begun to notice here.

My experience with UFC Gym has been nothing but phenomenal! This gym has by far the best class selection of any gym Ive ever been to -- and Ive been to them all! You never get bored at this place -- theres always something new to try, from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Boxing Conditioning to Yoga and High-Intensity Interval Training. Add to all this the clean locker rooms, the wide variety of machines and equipment (including the Jacobs Ladder machine, which I had only seen once before at a super-luxury gym), the upbeat vibe and atmosphere, and the super-friendly instructors, and you have the single best value in fitness in the NYC metro area. My Ultimate membership barely costs more than what I was paying at L.A. Fitness, which wasnt a tenth of the gym that UFC is. Of special note is the group TRX suspension training class, which is the most rigorous workout Ive ever experienced in my life! The instructor, Jehad Ibrahim, goes out of his way to keep an eye out on me and give me personal attention, even with fifteen or twenty other students in the class. Simply put, Jehads TRX class singlehandedly makes the monthly membership fee worthwhile.
