We visted 8 other venues in Westchester and Rockland counties and we about to give up until we fell in love with The View on the Hudson for our September 2009 wedding. We brought people to tour the place 3 times before the wedding, attended a yummy full-portioned tasting (there was WAYYY too much for us to eat), and even were allowed to use their dance floor to practice our first dance for an hour. Finally September arrived, and we had an amazing wedding reception of about 150 people (I wouldnt recommend the venue for over 180ish). Everything from the food to the service to the set up was flawless. People are still telling us how great our wedding was 2 months later! We had an amazing time with TONS of food for a great price! I highly recommend the View and Howard Vaz who went above and beyond every step of the way for us!

attended a wedding there on a very cold day. Its a great spot for a summer wedding with a very nice view of the Hudson. The hall itself was okay. I have seen some better and some worse. It seems the main point of the place is the view, which is great,, but when its freezing cold you are generally not interested and standing next to a 20 foot window. The food which was catered in for this wedding was pretty good and the staff seemed attentive to peoples needs. The only complaint that i really have is that the place looked slightly old, like it needed an update some new carpet of something. Everything was distinctly 1988 looking.

I attended a wedding of my best friend and was very frustrated with the experience. First of all, the service was terrible so was the food. While serving dinner the server carried too many plates to the tables and the food on the plates got squashed really bad... the plates were literally on top of each other. I pointed that out to the server, he said No Problemo and moved my filet mignon to the center of my plate with his finger. Ahm I requested a new plate but the manager said they did not have any spare filet mignon left. Don’t take me wrong, the view was beautiful but the food & service are awful.

While the view cant be beat and the food was good, the management has no idea how to run a wedding. They lost the boutonnieres, (1/2 hour later they found them upside down in a trash can - losing 2 of them so that they couldnt be worn) gave the wrong directions to departing out of state guests, forgot to save the front row for the groomsmen. Took them half an hour to line the wedding party up before the reception - all while Howard (the matred) fluttered around saying he was doing the best he could. If the only thing you want is a view, come here. If you want a nice affair, go anywhere else.

Cannot possibly say enough great things about this venue. From the staff, to the food (to die for!), to the physical scenery around you both inside and out, wow. Ralph and his crew ensured that my wife and I (as well as our guests) had the night of our lives, and it was exactly that.

The service and staff were wonderful. We held my daughter s wedding there and it couldnt have gone better. The rooms are bright, cheerful and clean. The management was extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. If you are planning an event, The View is the place to hold it.

I went to a wedding here, and everything from the view, the facilities, the food and flow of events were all on point. Its only an hours drive from NYC, while the fun and elegance awaits you. Parking was easy.
