As usual, the food tonight was delicious. We have had several very friendly, helpful, and thoughtful servers in the past, however, this was not the case tonight. The 2 of us were immediately seated at a table just before 9pm (3/13/15) and the restaurant was fairly busy with just 3 or so open tables. As we looked at menus, the busser brought us water. Another couple was sat next to us 2 minutes after we arrived. A server stops at their table, grabs a drink order, and lists the days soups. She rings the order in and brings the other table water before coming over to hurriedly grab a drink order--this is already several minutes in, and we already have water. She takes care of 2 other tables, grabs the couple bread, appetizers, and beer--we have not even ordered at this point. After filling water for several other tables, she finally comes over to take our order, but only answers my one question before going off to fill water at another table. We had been ready for at least 5 minutes and have been sitting for nearly 15 minutes by the time she actually takes our dinner order. And what do you know, but the people who sat after us got their entrees as we are giving our order. We notice that everyone has bread but us, but by this point, our server is having a 5+ minute conversation with some regulars and is unreachable. Another server ran our food and brought extra sauces to us while Tina was still chatting with another table. Moral of this long-winded story is that Tina showed really poor time-management and was unable to orchestrate her section after getting double sat. Our table and the couple that came in right after should have been treated as 1 table, essentially - being greeted one after the other, orders taken back-to-back, etc. Instead, Tina made several trips back and forth, wasting her own time and making us wait unnecessarily. We normally love Jines food and service, but tonight seemed atypical and we left disappointed.

We were three for breakfast. The omelette was lovely, the Lox Benny, spot on.Than came the poached eggs & corned beef hash. I do not eat bread. they offer nothing else. Understandable. The eggs came out over cooked & a minute amount of hash was mediocre in size & taste. Two of us ordered fresh fruit with 2 kinds of melon, grapes & sliced strawberries, all fresh. the strawberries were sour. I spoke to the mgr. & he gave me $2.00 off b/c I ate the eggs anyway...too bad about the yucky hash. also had 2 cups of tea. All this for $40.00! Think we will not be back. Did not get our monies worth.

Awful service. My mom got a broccoli burger and it was raw; I tried it myself. She informed the server and the cook came over to hear it for herself and was very dismissive. After our meal I passed by the bar where our server was exclaiming to another employee how "this woman ate literally 95% of her broccoli burger and then said she hated it." I am completely disgusted by the lack of respect the servers have for their customers and will never be returning.

5 star restaurant. Hands down, Jines Restaurant is my favorite place to go to for Sunday Brunch. There is a wait, but mind you, the wait is worth it. Atmosphere is lively, staff attentive and omlettes as big as your face. Since the expansion a couple years it seemed to make the business grow even more. Dishes are served hot, and a real treat. I love coming here with my friends! I will be back soon! I definitely recommend Jines to friends and family!

This place is garbage. The food is subpar - its either undercooked or overcooked. The servers are rude and snotty. The owner is a toolbox. And as if that isnt enough, every year they put out a sign at the Park Ave fest that is grammatically incorrect, so they are idiots as well. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt - I went there 5 times but each experience was worse than the last. I officially began boycotting about 6 months ago.

Everything I have ever had has been excellent. The portions are generous. The food is authentic tasting. It is a very nice restaurant inside, though it is crowded with tables. I get that they want to seat as many people as possible, but the decor suffers a little because it takes away from the ambiance it has. The service is good, but lacks the extra "wow" factor. When I go to a nice place like Jines, I want to have my expectations blown away.

We were very disappointed in our meals at Jines, being told that the speciality was Greek food, we ordered Greek. The Spanokopita was soggy, the falafel and gyro were both substandard and the taziki sauce was strange with no taste at all. On the other hand, the desserts were spectacular. Lemon meringue was fresh and lemony and the apple crumb was perfect. Skip the Greek and have dessert! If you want Greek, go to Aladdins - excellent food.

Jines is excellent. The prices are competitive for "diner dinning" except you get a plateful of food (I can never finish!) at top quality. Im a diner junkie, my parents started it and Ive continued. Jines is definitely hands down one of the best in- not just Rochester, but the greater part as well. Its become a usual place for my daughter and I to grab banana bread french toast (only place I can say makes better French toast than myself!!)

The food was awesome, and the restaurant is super clean. The wait staff that brought me my food was excellent, very polite. Only complaint was I could hear someone at the front register complaining about a coworker. I understand the need to vent, but not within earshot of a customer! Going to assume the person was having a rough day. Id absolutely go back. Ill even adjust my rating to 5 stars if that seems like a one-time occurrence.

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere! I received a gift card for Jines and I was impressed with the restaurant! The salad came with an awesome house dressing, honey mustard poppyseed dressing. The entrees were huge and delicious. We sat inside the restaurant because it was hot and humid, but the outdoor seating would be wonderful for some prime people-watching down Park Ave. Excellent place!

What a great Rochester landmark! Great food, nice environment, good selection, good service, indoor and outdoor seating. Any time of year, come for the delicious Benedict breakfasts, or come for dinner with fine wine and good Greek food. The only negative thing about Jines, is that its right next to Frog Pond, which is just as nice, more niche, and a different selection of delicious.

The busboy spilled hot coffee all over my wife and Is bare leg. We were offered a half hearted apology, but were charged full price for the food and the coffee. When speaking to the restaurant manager who was unapologetic and arrogant. We were offered 20 percent off which barely covered the cost of the coffee. I will never go back and wouldnt suggest anyone go there!

Dont waste your time or money!!!! Worst dinner in Rochester! Terrible food and everything served that is all way overpriced. Service always takes FOREVER and comes with a piss poor attitude, on their best of days. My food has been cold every time Ive eaten here. Soda is flat, coffee is worse than awful... If you want a good dinner experience go to Jays Dinner!
