As a guy, I’ve always gone to a traditional barbershop. But someone planted the idea in my head to try an upscale salon at least once to see if there was any significant difference. I was reluctant but about 4 years ago I walked into Numi asking for a consultation to help me choose a new hairstyle which would stand apart from the same old haircut I had been getting at barbershops for ages. I got exactly what I was looking for – a new style that was both professional and trendy. I keep going back because I love the haircuts but also because it’s such a much better experience all around. The complementary “hair clean-up” (or tune-up) 3 weeks after each haircut is a big plus because it makes my great haircut last longer – it’s almost like getting two haircuts for the price of one! They also take the time to teach you how to style your own hair on a daily basis, which helps me start any day (or evening) feeling better. They also include a scalp massage and hot towel facial during the shampoo process which I always enjoy, and after your haircut is done they do another rinse so you can go straight to your next event without cut hair falling on your ears and forehead. That’s a totally different experience from what we guys are accustomed to at our typical barbershop. You gotta try Numi at least once – hopefully you’ll benefit from the Numi experience like I have.

My appointment was with Gabriel. I brought in an exact picture of what I wanted (literally my hair from a year ago, not a celebrity picture but a picture of me) and said I wanted the same thing but more of an angle even if it ended up a little shorter in the back. I walked out with a weird swoop in the back instead of a straight across cut and much LESS angle. After he suggested softening the edges and I replied that I liked how blunt it was he continue to soften it anyway. I also specifically said I didnt want layers and again, he did it anyway. I flat iron my hair so when he blow dryed it I thought it would look better flat ironed. It did but still wasnt how I wanted. I was not happy with my haircut at all. I think Gabriel would be good to go to if you want to give him free rein, obviously he knows what he is doing, but he ignored what I wanted in favor of doing what HE thought was best. Even if he thinks something else would look better I brought in a specific style I have had in the past because I liked it and wanted it again. Very frustrating. I will not be going back.

I ordered a groupon for the Keratin Coppola Treatment from Numi and company. They did the treatment incorrectly. I researched the process and the correct way to do the treatment is to wash your hair, blow dry it, apply the product, sit with it under at cap for 30 min, then blow dry and then flat iron. They never dried my hair after washing it so they couldnt tell where they were putting the product. Also, because my hair was already wet, it didnt absorb the product. When they applied the product, the did it to huge sections of my hair and they’re supposed to apply it to very small sections of the hair. The process is supposed to take 2-3 hours. I was in and out of the salon in an hour and fifteen minutes. My hair is still frizzy and took just as long to blow dry and flat iron. I came into work the day after I shampooed it and every said it looked exactly the same as it did before I got the treatment. Beware if you are going there for this treatment.

I have been going to Numi & Company since as long as they have been open. I made my first appointment after getting a crappy haircut in NYC. I had read about Gabriel (salon owner) and the salons opening in Westchester Magazine and thought I would give him the opportunity to fix my mess of a hair style. I loved the cut and the rest is history. Everyone who works there is professional, friendly, and fun. My hair wash with Bea is the best Ive had. Im probably Gabriels most annoying client too, because I usually dont have any ideas for what I want. I have long straight hair. I dont think hes given me the same cut twice and I always leave feeling fabulous. I get lots of compliments including from my better half. I doubt I will ever go anywhere else.

I found Numi from a group on. Unlike other places when they know you have a group on, they treated me warmly. I had spent years looking for someone who could cut my hair how I wanted it. I literally used to go back to Providence to get my hair cut because after 13 years in NY no one would consistently get it right. I described what I wanted to Gabriel and the very first time he got it spot on....probably one of the best cuts Ive ever had. They grow in perfectly and even when it is too long it is manageable and looks ok. He has been consistent and spot on every time for almost a year now. Hed better not leave the area. And there is easy available street parking right there.

My hair is super important to me. I found Numi salon one year ago (I went in based off of reviews) because another salon had destroyed my hair with bleach. I was so devastated I was considering shaving my head. The owner and the colorist sat down with me and assured me they would hold my hand through the process of recovering my hair (it was literally breaking in my hands). One year later my hair looks like nothing ever happened! I have been a faithful customer ever since! Numi is a stylish, trendy, and professional place. The staff is so nice and so competent. When customers walk in they are treated like family. If you need a hair salon, Numi is for you.

As someone with a serious neck condition, Numi has always been the perfect place where not only have I always been treated with kindness and affection, but always felt that as soon as I walk in for my appointment, I am considered a priority. I can happily say that I have not once left without amazing results; Ruben has always made sure to take care of my neck, check in with me to make sure my experience is the most comfortable, and made sure that my long, thick, curly hair is swiftly blown out for an incredibly sleek style that lasts me days looking just as impeccable. There is no other place I would go but Numi Salon.

Love love love this place! Ive been coming to this salon for over a year. I recently moved to Jersey and made the mistake of visiting a local salon. Needless to say, I left unhappy and spent $150 on highlights that looked awful. Ill never make that mistake again. I went back to Numi and had my highlights fixed and they look amazing thanks to numi! Everyone there is does an amazing job. Ive had everything done here from highlights, cuts, and blowouts and always leave looking beautiful. Ruben, Gabriel, Catherine and Rosetta have all been nothing less than amazing. Wonderful service, thank you!
