My car, a 2005 Acura RSX, had a disconnected joint between the catalytic converter and the muffler. After receiving some apparently non-sense suggestion from another mechanic store, I tried East Setauket Automotive. After examining the problem, the East Setauket Automotive technicians quickly suggested two possible solutions, both very reasonable. They worked with the cheaper solution first which directly worked out. Including ordering a new gasket, removing the old badly-rusted bolts, and putting everything back together, it took merely 1hr. The job was very well done. Im very please with the experience there and I highly recommend ast Setauket Automotive.

Moved into the area looking for a trusty mechanic for car repairs. Had the car inspected beforehand knowing exactly what was wrong and where it was. Went to East Setauket Automotive to get it inspected. The inspection came back saying, "The car needs some quick service but is labor intensive. Will only cost a couple hundred dollars." Took it to the mechanic down the road at Village Automotive and fixed for 30$. Be careful if you take your car here. They will try to pull a quick one over you for the money. Do your research beforehand.
