THE HAIRCUT AND COLOR IN THIS PICTURE WERE FIXED EXPERTLY BY HER-WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT HER SOONER. Look how messed up it looks-need to get a new picture done because you would not believe what it looks like now. Moreover, it looks better on Day 3 and 4, on top of swinging and hanging nice from Day 1 as it was. I cant imagine not washing my hair every day, and even after surgery on a neck mass, I never got to more than a day w/o washing it, before, but this time, I did the right thing and did what the medical issue required me to do, skipping wet hair for 4 days. Even though I was the one who did my hair the morning of surgery, and I am NOT good with blow-drying my hair, the people in the office I go to daily would not stop raving about it and I loved it myself so much. Everything people said is true. Marie runs a tight, high-class shop in every way-cleanliness, people she hires, etc. Maries cuts are second to none, and I go out there from Dix Hills. Her reputation is spreading: This was amazing but I bumped into another customer who said she is looking t going to Fla but will fly back for Maries work! What happened was that I bumped into a lady in the office bathroom at Garden City, and we started chatting because she works for the reverse mortgage company next door and I do foreclosure defense, besides animal law and other areas of law, and worked next door at the bankruptcy and foreclosure defense law firm Of Counsel. Reverse mortgages might be a last-chance effort to save a house from foreclosure, like bankruptcy. She mentioned she shleps to Garden City from Westhampton and I said, BTW, you HAVE to go to Salon Echelon, and she said I am preaching to the choir- she raved about the place. Marie goes to LOTS of training and even trains other salons, does fashion shoots in Manhattan, has a lot of certifications and licenses, although they are hard to get and you MUST be top-notch, etc.-she is not a regular hairdresser or business owner; she has taken everything to the next level. Believe it or not, this is like law school and the Bar exam, time and brain skills, and I think I spent less time on the bar exam, and passed the first time, than Marie spends getting HER licenses and such. I do the same with my work, and in fact, have a class tomorrow at the Bar Assn but am going to Maries first, which is sort-of on the way back from Riverhead foreclosure court. I called 10 days ago and Marie is booked solid through Christmas and the only way I could get in was by saying I will be there 12:30 after court and will hang around until I need to leave for the seminar, working on my laptop, until someone has time to do my color (one of her workers, under Maries educated guidance of course, did it 8 weeks ago and only needs touch-up at the roots now). However, I ONLY want her cutting my hair, as great as her staff members are. Ironically, I received a ton of compliments when I couldnt wash my hair for 3 days due to a medical procedure. The way my hair just hung, on its own, due to the cut, was fantastic, taking advantage of its natural but gentle curl at the ends. Also, the cut saves me a lot of time in the morning-although I am terrible at blowing out my hair, I can just blow the top and let the bottom half, which tends to get dry so this helps, do its own thing with the cut and I often get in the car with my hair partially wet. Moreover, I am an attorney and need to look a certain way-Suffolk is conservative, and the cut looks both sexy and professional. You MUST go there, no matter where you live.

From Rosemarie: It is not easy for me to try a new stylist or salon. After years of frustration, I decided to give Salon Echelon a try. Upon entering the building, I was taken by the beautiful, clean, bright, artistically designed surroundings and gorgeous color of the decor. The atmosphere is uplifting, modernized and truly felt like a relaxing escape from the workweek. Cathy immediately extends warmth and comfort at the receptionist desk. It is both inviting and calming. Maries artistic ability in both décor and hair styling is evident everywhere. Most importantly, she sets a standard for excellence which allows me to trust those who work with and for her. Tara was recommended as my stylist. I must say she is a true talent. She took the time to examine my hair and discuss what I would like to achieve for color and cut. She is a pleasure to speak with and made it easy for me explain what I had in mind. She achieved a beautiful shade of rich red color and a cut that gave my hair body and movement. Both pleasant and polite, Tara brings years of experience and artistry to her work. I hope that anyone hesitant in trying to find that perfect combination of stylist and salon will consider Tara and Salon Echelon. They offer the exceptional talent as well as a beautiful atmosphere and overall friendly, inviting treatment by all staff. I highly recommend this Salon. Even if a particular stylist were not available, I can honestly say that the employees at this Salon all meet an exceptionally high standard of excellence that took me many years to find.

I have been traveling from Westbury to Westhampton (yes an hours drive) to see Marie for over a year. Marie is who you MUST see. I actually leave the color, cut, and style up to her and walk out of the salon feeling like a super model every month. Although I moved to Nassau county, I do not trust another stylist to work the same magic as Marie does. She knows exactly what will compliment my skin tone, and what works best for me in my every day life and routine. Not everyone feels comfortable enough to let go and let loose of those reigns....but if you are strong and confident enough...just do it! I promise you, you will be thrilled with the results. :-)

A++ all around! I was recommended to Marie by a dear friend who was tired of me complaining how terrible my cuts and color were by my prior stylist. I finally consulted with Marie who prepared a plan to correct my damaged hair and I have been a loyal customer for well over 12 years now. Marie is a true artist all around. Salon Echelon is a pleasure to visit and calm the senses on any stressful day, from the moment you walk in the door from the decor, colors, style and the welcoming staff who are always pleasant and cheerful. The best is that Marie is a true artist and loves making people look and feel great!

I started going to Salon Echelon a few years ago shortly after they opened and I remember thinking how clean, well managed and professional everything looked and Im happy to say that since that day nothing has changed and thats a GREAT thing! The salon is always spotlessly clean and buzzes with creativity. Marie is always able to whip my frizzy, curly hair into shape and although Ive only splurged once for a manicure/ pedicure I remember the experience being an incredibly relaxing one. I would recommend this salon without hesitation to anyone looking for the ultimate "I feel like a million bucks" spa experience!
