Ok so heres how this goes. This place sucks. Besides that fact that it took 9 months to open when they promised they were opening "next Friday," the pool still isnt open. Thats that. I think the staff layed out the floor plan with blindfolds on. Theres two smith machines with no mirrors. Theres 5 different stomach machines spread out all over the place. The dumbbells only go up to 100lbs. And best of all, all the benches are bolted to the ground in the dumb bell section. Try grabbing one you need at 7 at night when its crowded, you cant, because these retards screwed them into the floor. Next, to deal with these members. No rules are enforced. You have to wait for the 1, yes 1, squat rack while some twenty year old pulls he sneakers on and off in between each set. Thirsty? Why not walk back and forth the whole gym for a sip from the water fountain! No need for one in the middle of the weight room, where the majority of the people are right? Blindfolds I tell you, blindfolds! Lastly, ok theyre a new gym, people are signing up all the time. There is absolutely no reason why the membership card scanner is not on top on the counter. Why do I have to wait for some bozo to sign some loser up whos never going to come to the gym anyway, to begin my workout? Put the scanner on the top of the counter, plain and simple. Oh yea, open the pool too. Some people did join to swim.

Opened my membership in JULY! They said the gym was opening in September then December then January (were getting in February and it still wasnt open) last week in February " OH were opening this week". I call back " OH this Tuesday we are opening". I called back yesterday " OH its either Tuesday- Friday". This has been an absolute disgrace to the community, its ubelieveable that nobody knows when they are going to open the gym. "Were waiting for Corprate" WOW, as a business you are suppose to have a set date. What the hell are you waiting for?! You are robbing us for our money for a service that we arent even receiving yet! GET IT TOGETHER! Also when I signed up I had to pay even more just to have access to the other location that I now have to change once the Forest club decides to open. I wasnt even given any workout essentials little as a T shirt , towel or anything. Planet fitness provides you with a shirt and the membership is way cheaper.

Signed up for this gym in September to be told it would open Mid October. Then to find it will be open Mid November. Then beginning of December. End of December. Called two weeks ago and was told Mid January to find out yesterday its now being pushed to February. Its unreal how much this is being pushed back. Truly if I was just told a correct date I wouldnt complain but at this point its just a slap in the face. I also really hope that when it does open all the issues stated on other SI LA Fitness ratings are in check. Examples: Dirty bathrooms or plates being everywhere but the plate racks. If it werent for the convenience of how close this place will be to me I wouldve cancelled already. The north shore is in dire need of a decent gym. Hopefully this place is it when it opens, Id assume 2018 at this point.

I agree with the other viewers. I signed up Back in July of 2016 and was told they were opening in September. And by me signing up early I was getting the best discount. I see the new members has received a better discount. What foolery this is. I called back every month and was told I can use the other Gym. Yes I did give it a try but it cost me Gas money and extra time (1hr) getting to and from. While I was still paying my monthly Fee. Like I stated to the corporate office I sign up because its closer to my home (5) min away. So I called the corporate office to see if they could accommodate me in some way. Of course not, So La fitness you all should have done a lot more for your clients, that signed up in July 2016. Bad business!!!

First off, it took FOREVER to open and now that it has, Im wondering what took so long? The gym is smaller than most L.A. Fitness. The pool which was an issue when they were constructing the gym, isnt open and is small to boot. No basketball/volleyball court. No sauna either. An exercise room with all kinds of equipment that is only for personal training, yet it is hardly used. Keycard scanners not available for quick check in. So many issues. I only go because it is much closer to my house than the other locations on the island and the machines are new and still work. Other than that, this location has been nothing but an unmitigated disaster.

I have been waiting for quite some time now like the other reviewers, especially because it is very close to home. However I will say that I went by February 2nd cause I was told they would be open and they were not but I did get to check out the gym and I was quite impressed. The high and open ceiling with all the light coming thru over the cardio equipment is very nice and will make doing cardiovascular for me at least more pleasurable. So while I agree the wait and postponement after postponement has been very tacky and frustrating, I do think it will be worth the wait. Now lets go ALREADY!!

Its absolutely amazing how LA Fitness can continue to collect money from new members for a fitness center that doesnt have a real opening date. I signed up for a new membership in October and they are still giving me the run around as to when they are opening. You would think they would offer a one month complimentary gym membership to all the New members for our inconvenience and for misleading us. I had to join another gym waiting for them to open. I am not driving so this location is down the street from my house, very convenient. La Fitness you have got to do better.

Joined in June we will be open in July then every month there after to almost a year later famous word "we are opening up Monday ". For 10 months this went on asked what was going on they said building permits. Asked a guy working there he laughed and said the floor they built collapsed lie after lie and dont even have enough respect after calling and leaving a message with phone number to at least get a call back horrible manegment.

I waited to sign up since I know LA Fitness also gave people the run-around when the Richmond Ave location was opening and it took months. That insanity aside, the gym is nice but feels very small with an odd layout. New equipment is great but well see if they keep up with fixing things (the Service Rd location often had broken equipment that wasnt serviced). Also, please for the love of God add another squat rack.

Love it!! This location was recommended by a friend so i tried it and love it. Its smaller and i would love later hours at all locations but other then that its great. Nice new machine, beautiful building, friendly staff, and clean. Had a training session with Adam he was funny and super nice and helped educate me threw my workout. I think this will be my new gym location from now on.
