Retro fitness of Tottenville the epitome of a friendly gym environment. The staff is incredible!!! Every time I enter the gym, the staff greets you with a smile and they are here to answer/help you with any questions or problems you may have! The gym floor is SPOTLESS at all times! Ive gone to other retro locations and even other gyms and it is nothing compared to tottenville! After a workout I LOVE GETTING A SHAKE! EACH SHAKE GETS BETTER AND BETTER EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! I highly recommend you sign up! Ive been a member for 5+ years now and I have not one unsatisfactory complaint! The managers are just as great as the staff! Always out on the floor making sure everything is running smoothly (as it always is). They also offer personal training which helped me reach my fitness goals!! Sign up ASAP!!!

Gym itself is fine but their general manager is an incompetent moron. Been billed for 2 years after canceling membership, when I brought this to their attention the manager Tom Sengel made me come from central Jersey to sign physical paper, made me wait 40mins while on personal call then explains theres an additional 60 day billing period plus my annual fee was due- total gimmick! If this momo knew how to run a business or the first thing about customer service he would of waived ANY and ALL additional fees and just canceled my contract out of common sense. I guess getting 2 years of payments without any gym usuage wasnt enough? Make matters worse, he refused to give me the contact information of his boss/owner which is against BBB policy. Money hungry idiot...

Weights are always all over the place. Machines are broken for extended amounts of time. Clips are always missing off of machines. Bathroom water pressure is equivalent to well-water. Water fountain is not fully clear. They make you come in to cancel even when the membership contract is up, just to try and save the sale. Manager Jen is rude and gets frustrated quickly when dealing with customer service. After being a member for 3 1/2 years, they "changed the contracts credentials" and did not inform the people already under contract. So how do some of the rules from my orginal contract apply as well as some of the rules to the new "innovated" contract also apply? After my final payment I will never step foot back inside this degrading place.

Retro fitness of Tottenville is everything you look for in a gym. A great, friendly staff, clean and safe Equipment and a positive atmosphere. I am always greeted with a smile from all staff members who are never bothered to help out if I need it. The weights are cleaned and constantly re racked making it easy to find what you are looking for. There are multiple machines so you arent waiting around for one machine to free up. There are classes all throughout the day that accommodate all types of schedules with instructors that truly care about fitness and helping you become fit and healthy. They have expanded to an upstairs room that widens your variety for different workouts. Retro is the place to be with a price that cant be beat!

Gym itself isnt bad its the inconsiderate jerkoff juicebags who workout there who ruin it leaving all the weights all over the place when u finish ur 5 plates re rack or does ur maid clean ur house typical Staten Island losers faces beet red like their heads r about to explode and forget about the idiots talking on their phones I dont care to liste to your conversations while working out plus your tying up the machines talking to your friends this isnt social hour staff doesnt do anything about this and Ive been a member for 4 years forget about going on a holiday cant even get into the door management has no control over the clients

I first started off working out at the retro fitness in new springville but as soon as I seen how dirty and not well ran it was I quickly came to the retro fitness of tottenville and didnt look back once. I have been a member here for a few years and never not one problem with anything!!! Staff and management are the best on the island!! Always clean, staff helps when needed with no problems and the shakes are AMAZING!!! Best gym on the island for a low price! Highly recommend

The gym is great, but dont use the PT services. They had me sign an incorrect contract twice and now I am paying more than I agreed to until November. They have good trainers, but they failed terribly in all the administrative aspects making a HUGE head ache for me. Just work out on your own! Retro gets 3 stars because even though PT is through a different company, they very strongly push you towards it.

Incredible gym to work out. The changes to the gym in the last six months have been amazing. The staff and management are very friendly. They care about you. The instructors are excellent. From the moment you walk in you are motivated to have a good workout. If you are looking for a gym this is the place to go to.

This Gym is good, i just dont like the guest pass price and i also dislike how at another retro fitness i have a baf member ship but this one has different policies which i thought all of the gyms had the same. But this is the better retro fitness on the island ill admit that.

Not all gyms are the same! Not all RetroS are alike. Simply more than just a member! Customer service is above and beyond! If you not near this location they have others locations, stop in and check them out in Fairfield N.J., New City N.Y., Babylon N.Y. and Fort Myers Fl.

I love retro fitnes! .. staff is so friendly and the classes provided are awesome! Great machines and very clean equipment. Definitely a 5 star gym!!!! Def recommend this gym to anyone interested in a high quality place to workout!

I was told I couldnt wear Sanuk s and that I have to pay extra 50% if I want to use functional area. Overall very dirty, smelly.
