TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE: My daughter just had highlights done on New Years Eve. She had an 11am appt. and wasnt taken until 11:40. When she made the appointment she told the receptionist that she had a lot of hair and it would take a long time to do a full head. She was basically rushed out of the salon because they wanted to close early. They were cleaning up around her and stood around until the foils were done making her very uncomfortable. She was sent out of there with a wet head of hair, and couldnt even tell what the highlights looked like. This awful experience cost her $220 plus tips. I hope someone from the salon sees this post.

The stylist I have been using since moving to NY a year ago moved to this salon in September. I decided to give them a try (even though they are 35 minutes from my home!) since breaking in a new stylist is such a drag. I am glad I did - this is a very up-scale salon (green tea, hand and scalp massages, top-of-the- line Aveda products) but I paid only a little more than I do in a "neighborhood" salon. Everyone was customer-service focused even though I was there at a typically very busy time - Saturday morning. Give Eclipse a try - and ask for Tattiana!

I felt that the staff here was very cold. This wouldnt be a huge deal except for the fact that the highlights I got were exactly what I repeatedly asked the colorist not to do when I described the look I wanted. They were also poorly placed and not what I had asked for at all. I am very disappointed because the whole bad experience cost more than $260 and I ended up going home and redyeing it myself. Unfortunately I found Eclipse to be a huge waste of time and money.

I had a stylist that colored my hair all wrong. It was too dark and made me look dyed and old. It was a salon that was less expensive. Colleen, the stylist at Eclipse, listened to what happened and what I needed. She shampooed my hair with a product that would lighten it up gently. She was kind, patient and reassuring. Shes an experienced stylist that knows her business. Its the old saying, "You get what you pay for."

I have gone to Eclipse since they opened the salon- they are true professionals with a keen eye and a real concern for their customers. I cannot count the number of compliments I receive on my hair- both the cut and the color. I could not be happier to be in the company of such genuinely lovely people. Make an appointment - I doubt youll ever go anywhere else.

I love Eclipse Hair Salon! My hair dresser does the best job from cut to color she always gets it right. She has taken me from brunette to blonde, from long to short. Plus whatever fashion style is in, my hair stylist is sporting it! If youre looking for a great place to get your hair cut look no further than Tarrytown! Thanks Denise!

I really like to go here and get my hair and nails done here. While Im waiting for my hair to dye or dry I can be getting my toe or finger nails done. I really like this place so I do highly recommend it.
