I cant say enough good things about my experience working with Jody, owner of JAG & Assoc. This was our first home building experience and it could not have been easier. We werent originally planning to build, but after looking for some time, we decided to work with Jody and build in West Asheville. We started by worked with his architects to modify one of his existing home plans and then asked Jody to get our house build in a ridiculously fast time frame...and he and his crew delivered! We were in our house in just 5 months and we love it. Jody was extremely easy to work with...there were a number of adjustments we wanted to make during the process (non-standard fixtures, etc. etc) and through email and quick phone calls we were able to make all the changes and get everything we asked for. And we did the whole process while living 6 hours away! My friends whove built houses before keep asking us how things are going now that were moved in and whether our builder has finished his punch list or what issues weve uncovered...and I can honestly say there have been none. There was no punch list...we moved in with literally everything done...and have found no issues at all with the house. It really was an amazingly simple and stress-free experience working with Jody and we couldnt be happier with the end result. He and his team do gorgeous high-quality work and I cant recommend him enough. If you decide to work with JAG, you will be very pleased with the outcome! - Alyssa & Jason, West Asheville

In my green building development work, I have employed a variety of green builders in Asheville on over two dozen homes, and JAG Construction is at the very top of my list. Not only is Jody fun to work with, but he delivers on time and within budget. His heart is in green building, and he is very knowledgeable about the greenest way to build an attractive house. During the design phase, Jody works with me to help make sure that the house is the most cost effective to build, saving me money. He also has great design ideas and is creative in overcoming challenges. Jody is the only builder who Ive worked with who consistently has punch lists that are under 5 items, and frequently the home inspector cant find anything to put on a home inspection report. Jody not only excels at quality, but he is very cost competitive, which is doubly amazing considering that he pays his workers a living wage! Like the other person who recommended Jody, I cant say enough good things about him and JAG Construction.

JAG Construction did an amazing job with my new custom green home in West Asheville. Not only was the home finished on time and within budget, but the crew was great to work with throughout the process. I especially appreciate their friendliness and them accommodating my visits to the site during construction. They took time to answer my questions throughout the build, even when it was clear that my questions were not that intelligent. Jody Guokas helped with decision making with materials and products during the design, and his suggestions were spot on. My energy bills have been extremely low and my HERS score was 46, which means that my home uses only 46% of the energy compared to a similar home built to building code standards. There have not been many call backs on warranty items, but JAG has been responsive and timely to fix things. Cant say enough good things about my experience with JAG Construction.

Jody and the JAG construction crew bring a professional, positive attitude to their work and exemplify the efficient, materials conscience way of working that is the heart of true green construction. The forethought and pre-planning that goes before each phase of the work results in savings of time, money, and reduces waste. Jody’s input significantly improved our design and he was helpful throughout with valuable suggestions. The coordination and cooperation of his subs reflects the high value Jody places on respect for fellow artisans. Not only did Jody execute a custom house design for an architect with proficiency and economy, but he made it a thoroughly enjoyable process for us. He has our highest recommendation.

Everyone who worked on house was very friendly and accommodating and the project was finished before the deadline.
