We generally stay on the north side of town, north of the first traffic light when we visit Avon – the only town we consider on the OBX when vacationing. All of us really liked the layout of this beach house. The top floor look-out room was a very nice retreat for computer use, reading, napping or just enjoying the view. And the circular stairway entry was unique and a great use of space. The game room omission in this house design was not an issue for us; it is a nice perk but not something that we can’t do without. And the large TV in the main room made the lack of a video room a non-issue. The kitchen, while compact, has a very nice layout, is nicely appointed and is well equipped. The spacious driveway and wide front steps to the half-level entry makes for ease of use. The wide hallways – while an odd design choice for space maximization – made the house feel bigger and definitely a breeze to navigate. We have been visiting the OBX since 2004 and have stayed in a selection of houses in Avon and Duck and visited many, many more all along the OBX – as well as building a house in Avon in 2005. The Sea Tower stands up well in comparison and is one of our new favorites for a 2 or 3 couple choice. Highly recommended.

Although our experience with Outer Beaches Realty was excellent, the home owner needs to step up and repair/replace some things. We stayed in Drift Inn and most likely wont choose that particular house again. But kudos to OuterBeaches! It was the cleanest house we have ever rented. A couple years ago, we had to call the rental company (NOT OBR) to come clean before we could even unpack. The staff we came in contact with by phone, email. and in person were all polite, friendly and helpful. This was by far the nicest rental company to deal with. Plus the "starter" package they leave for you is amazing. We had dish soap and dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, a roll of paper towel, a cleaning sponge that was large enough that I cut it in half to use in 2 spots. The most we ever got at any other house was a half used roll of t.p. that the previous renter left. Next time I will know that I dont need to pack any of those items.

Tell us what you loved most about this home by sharing a review for our website. We stayed at cape point 240. The house was very clean and spacious for a large family. I do wish there were a few more pots and pans and it could be a little cooler inside. Nothing a few adjustments when cooking and a fan cant fix! The house is very nice and in a good location! My little boy loved watching the turtles in the pond! The beds are comfortable and there is a nice outdoor shower, which was a huge bonus! We liked having the covered area to pull the truck under in case it rained. The water pressure wasnt great but I think that its to be expected at the beach. Overall I give this house A++ and I would happily stay here again! No issues with anything and the pool pass was an awesome bonus. Great service with obx realty also! W will deff be using them again!

We enjoyed our stay at Spittin Kitty #20 with a few notable exceptions. 1. The back yard was so full of biting insects we couldnt enjoy the volleyball net at all. Suggestion would be to spray the yard with yard spray weekly. 2. NONE of the sliding doors had screens and the window screens were torn or cut so badly we couldnt open the windows or doors to enjoy the lovely bay breezes :( 3. The gas grill looked to be a 1st generation gas grill. .It was small, rickety and ill-placed for comfortable use. 4. The wood decks need some love, there were nails sticking up that we had to bang down and many splintering areas. Overall a nice house though Im not sure Id call it "Elite", awesome kitchen/cooking equipment(waffle maker too) and the pool was just deep enough for the adults but shallow enough forthe kids!!

Gypsies Tramps and Thieves--horrible rental. My family has been coming down to outer banks for years and this home was the worst experience ever. Water bugs inside and outside the house complained to rental company sent exterminator while we were there but did not help; ants everywhere including cabinets where dishes are stored. Hot tub cover was destroyed before we got there we could not use it to cover the hot tub complained to rental company but never taken care of; house was filthy, sand in beds when we arrived. Dishes filthy appliances broken, drawers on dressers broken. Sliding glass doors to deck did not open had to call rental company to send someone out to fix. Furniture stained and full of sand when we arrived. House has not been updated in years.

I "stumbled" upon Outer Beaches Realty approximately three years ago when trying to find a realty company that would meet all my financial needs and desire to vacation at, to me, the best place in this country. Upon speaking to the lady on the other end, I knew this company is one that I would tell others about. I asked the lady if the OBRs ad about their prices is true, and indeed it was/is. The attentiveness of this company surpasses any other company that I have dealt with personally and professionally. I have referred a lot of people who visit OBX on a regular basis to this company. There really isnt enough room to express how great this company and the employees are! Great job, OBR, as always, youre the best!

The Magic Moments property was beautifully appointed, had terrific amenities and was perfectly located for where we wanted to be. We were able to see dolphins from the balconies of the house half the time we stayed in the house. Everyone loved the kitchen, home theatre, game room and hot tub. The views from the back of the house were unbelievable and access to the beach was a 15 second walk. The Outer Beaches staff was extremely responsive, courteous and professional to every single inquiry and request. We will never use another realty company if we are fortunate enough to make our way to the Outer banks again. Thank you for making our trip absolutely outstanding!

Ive been to OBX many times ---wish I could be there more.! Ive used OBR all the time. They are a great outfit to deal with--easy, friendly and the "extra mile" services can not be beat as far as I am concerned.(We travel from Ontario Canada). The daily "beach reports" make me feel good but also make me sad that I cant be there.. When-ever there is a storm my heart goes out to the residences and I pray that the island gets back to normal quickly for them and also for me to have it still there to enjoy---heres a cheer for the island "forever to be opened and to prosper"LB

Makin Waves 290: The location of this home is perfect. Waves/Rodanthe is far enough from main tourist areas, making the beaches less crowded and enjoyable. Tourist options are just 20-25 minutes away in either direction. Beads and Beans is a must in Rodanthe, though! The beach is just across the street and up a small sand dune. The views from the sun deck are beautiful. If renting, be sure to note that the first floor bedroom is separate from the rest of the house. Wear your shoes outdoors, as cacti abound! Overall, very enjoyable stay!
