I wanted a simple hair cut of just a 2 inch trim, my layers re-done, and sweep bangs (bangs that begin short by the face and then become longer and blend into the hair). It was a simple hair cut that a first-timer hair dresser at Great Clips could have done but because of recommendations from friends, I decided to try Shamims...WORST MISTAKE. I received the worst hair cut of my entire life. I believe the hair dresser who did my hair was the owner herself. Instead of multiple layers, like any other hair dresser would have done, she only did two uneven, jagged layers. Along with this, instead of sweep bangs, like described above, she cut my bangs straight and insisted they were sweep bangs because it starts short under my eye and becomes long with the rest of my hair (it didnt become long, it was literally just short bangs and the rest of my hair). Her utensils were completely outdated, she measured nothing, and took only 20 minutes to cut my hair. Which would not have been a problem except I was there for 40 minutes because she was so busy talking and making conversation with other patrons (And normally all my haircuts take almost 40 minutes of just cutting because of how long and thick my hair is, and how much the hairdresser actually cares). I could not tell right away how god awful this hair cut was because it was still damp from the spray of water and the dim lighting in the parlor, but as soon as I got home and brushed out my hair and began inspecting it, I could immediately see the horrible job she did. I have no idea how and where she got her cosmetology certification and how her business is still up and running. If you love your hair, and love yourself, do not get a hair cut from this establishment. They are, however, very good at eyebrow threading.

I went to Shamim parlor for hair die $40, eyebrows and facial - Whitening $55 For hair die they charged $35. I did not do my complete hair because I only need it at the front. Still they charged $35. I am very disappointed with their service. The person who has done my facial is very un-professional and cunning I am not happy with her service. I doubt she has missed even few steps. She was in a hurry to go home and missed some of the steps and also did not do massage. She did only when I asked her to do . she was saying that my dress will get spoil thats why she did not do. My dress is already spoiled due to hair die and facial. The owner told me that eye brows and upper lip is free when I do a facial. This so called women even tried to charge for those. Only when I asked she removed those charges. This is very unprofessional. Also the owner was talking to others while doing threading. She should not talk while doing eyebrow threading. It is our valuable face. She has no right to play with it. Either she has to stop doing and talk to other people or talk once she is done. Last time I got so many cuts because of the owner. I did not say anything at that time. Also she left so much of hair on chin. I checked it once I reached home because there is no proper lighting in the parlor.

This is a horrible place. There was only one worker. I wish i could give this place zero stars. This is the worst facial I have ever encountered in my life. I usually go to Hand and Stone for facials $60 dollars for 60 minutes. This place charged me $55 dollars and she stayed in the room with me for less than 15 minutes total. This lady started out with a little face massage and put on a face polish and left me in the room laying there for 10 minutes. She came back and turned on the steam and told me she would be back. She left me there for about 15 minutes and I heard her in the other room with a walk in client and began cutting his hair. When she came back she put a mask on my face and left again for about 15 minutes. She worked on another client in the meantime and threaded her eyebrows. This whole time I could hear everything from the room. That is why i know she left me to work on a haircut and threaded eyebrows during my treatment. I got so bored during my treatment I sat up and got ready to leave. She proceeded to tell me that I am suppose to lay there along time to relax. How can I relax if all I can hear is conversation from the next room and not getting any real treatment? Do not go to this place. It is horrible.

Terrible service, NOT recommended. Does NOT adhere to basic business ethics. Charged me 50% TWICE of other salons in the area (sadly discovered this AFTER my wedding) and worst of all (listen to this ladies : this is truly classic ! ) : DOUBLE-BOOKED TWO other customers at the time she was doing my BRIDAL hair & makeup -- and never left her phone alone! Results : BIG Delay in my wedding ceremony- I ended up with EXTRA charges to pay the reception hall in the evening -entire ceremony was delayed by 1.5 hours! Guests had to stay longer than normal in town too.! Did not even give me a proper practise run for hairdo before the event. I would never advise anyone nor support again an inconsiderate / greedy business such as this.

Shamim was the first place I ever went to get my eyebrows threaded and Ive been a faith to them over the years. Plus, Ive referred several family members and friends. In the recent years I havent been happy with the technique and service of one of the techs. So over the past few months, Ive been going to shop closer to my job. Well, today me and my daughter get to get our eyebrows done. We both gave her the same instructions; one word - TERRIBLE! Both of our eyebrows are not the same size now! My are half the size (aka thinner) than they were. Im never going back if they tech is there and shes the only I only ever see. I was so irritated!

I moved to area recently from Richmond, Virginia. Just like any lady who is high maintenance she desires to keep her appearance to her desire will appreciate . Ms.Shamim. She provided excellent customer service, professionally and was down to earth. I appreciate her knowledge and expertise performing services to indiviuals from different culutre diversities. Trust me. I dont Patonize business that are not professional. I observed her sanatation practices and environment. I will definitely go again & refer her salon.

Eye threading is excellent but make up is a big no, I went there to get my make up done for my sister wedding I had to wait 2 hour for her to get there and went she finally did, I ended up looking like a clown i mean my eye had white around the whole eye my cheeks was really red and the foundation she used was to dark for my skin and the bad part I couldnt even tell her to fix it because I was already late for the wedding

Ive been to this place a few times and got the worst treatment every time. First time I went I didnt have an appointment and was told that is why people were going in before me. So, next time I got an appointment and they still had others go before me (and they didnt have appointments)!! It seems like if you are not indian or pakistani, you get treated like crap at this place!
