So I boxed dyed my hair months ago and went in to have it put back to its original color, a medium brown. My hair was only had to go a few shades lighter that its natural color, it wasn’t hard to do. I walked out with black hair, I have the drivers license picture to prove it. After washing like 10 times with clarifying shampoo it was still way to dark. So I attempted to contact the manager, but the rude receptionist wouldn’t let me talk to one. I ended up going back in to have it fixed, a which point the stylist told me my hair was not black it was “dark brown”. My same stylist was to busy to blow dry it, so when I got home and got it all dried I realized that I had about 4 different colors in my hair. Some parts were still black, and others were like a brown/red. Not good, it took about 3 weeks for it to fade to a similar all over color. Now I have my roots coming in, which are no where close to the color they turned my hair. I understand that it is difficult to get hair the exact right color, but neither time was it even close, she didn’t even use color swatches. The second time I came in she didn’t even as me to pick out what color my hair naturally was. She said she knew what to do...obviously not.

I made an appointment for a partial highlight and a haircut. I had just had a baby, so my hair hadnt been done in a while. Upon arrival, the stylist told me that I needed too many foils to get a partial. She told me a partial was only 10 to 12 foils (10 to 12 foils is actually called a halo). I have been getting my hair highlighted for 10 years now and I have always received a partial. She proceeded to give me a partial highlight, not a full, and charged me for a full. I spent over $200 and still had horrible looking roots. I found a new hair stylist who agreed that they had only done a partial highlight on my hair. After going to Salon Blu on and off for many years, I will never return.

In from out of town, two days before Christmas and badly in need of a cut. After being turned away from a few competitors that accept walk-ins I was close to rolling the dice on $10 cut somewhere before I found Salon Blu. I was able to see a stylist almost immediately and am very satisfied with the results. Very professional environment with enough stylists to actually accept walk-ins. Modestly priced for the quality - at least for mens cuts - and I would recommend to anyone. Thank you to Caroline and Salon Blu for keeping my holiday merry!

Kelly is the absolute BEST! Ive lived in Raleigh nearly 9 years and struggled finding a salon and stylist that just fit. Ive been using Kelly over a year now and will follow her anywhere. Salon Blu is great and the atmosphere and stylists make you feel right at home. For this working Mommy, my time at the salon is really special to me and I surely found one that is amazing. Ive referred numerous friends to Kelly and each and every one of them feels the same.

Terrible!!!! I did explained pretty clear, how I wanted and what I want to be done, especially what I do not want. After the hair was done, in front it didnt look that bad at first, but the stylist didnt even show me the back of my head. When I came home and looked, I couldnt stop crying! Everything I pointed NOT to do, it was done and now I dont know when I could fix it, because she cut it too short. Very very disappointed, cant stop crying, very sad

Julie cut my hair this morning and did a wonderful job. She did a thorough consultation, both listening to what I had to say, and asking good questions about my hair. She was very gentle when washing my hair, and did a beautiful cut. I was so pleased with my finished haircut, and really enjoyed talking with her. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a stylist.

This is the first time I have had my hair done by someone other than a friend in more than 15 years. I did not think that it was possible for my hair to look as good as it did when Jessica (Falls of Neuse salon) was finished. I will definitely being going back!

Is smoking hot and gives pretty good haircuts too. I will gladly go back whenever I am in the area. Free wine, nice atmosphere, good products, quality conversation. Its about all you can ask for from an establishment......def worth the extra dime. Go.
