Thee Worst! Yes, Thee. I swear on the Bible. You can Not get any worst than this salon. They have No clue how to blowout natural hair. I seen one of their clients leave with a "just finished style" and I thought to myself. I would never pay for that. Her friends, husband, or sister must have said the same thing because moments later the lady returned asking for a touch up or refund. The owner (whos been in business for 7 years but its hard to tell due to the service coming from her salon) was very disrespectful and told the client to sit and wait. I should of jumped out the chair right then and left but, I was stupid enough to sit and allow the stylist to continue. Minutes later the police was called because a Second client hated her hair and refused to pay. She was told her blowout would cost $35 but at the register the owner charged her $55 because she had "Thick Roots". In my opinion both ladies were justified to complain. I walked in wanting a blow-out but I left with a pony tail because my hair was so fizzy. It was all I could do to tame my hair. After the police was called on the Second lady, I just paid my money and left. I felt so robbed!!!! If you respect yourself or your money AVOID THIS SALON!!!! Try The Remedy Salon, Amaka International, Beleza Couture, The Suede Salon. All four of these salons are in Durham, they charge less and they do a much better job. Much better!

So I shouldve read the reviews before I went. However, Im leaving this review because I just cant believe this. I went out this salon asking for a blowout and trim and said I would get a relaxer touch up if recommended by stylist. Ok Ive had a couple of blowouts in the past so I asked the stylist are you gona use the rolling blowout brush? He said yes I just use the flat iron to loosen the roots. He rolled the rolling brush for a short period but basically flat ironed my hair. I have a flat iron at home! The trim was great and so was the deep treatment conditioner. But this is not a blowout!! I noticed my hair looking weighted and he tried to keep flat ironing it. I said my hair wont hold a curl with a flat iron- thats why I asked for a blowout! Im very disappointed! I payed what they said I owed and left I did purchase the conditioner treatment. But misleading, I sat down with the belief the shop had the supplies and equipment to perform a true blow out! I was supposed to go shopping I was so down I just went home!!

Walked in to see if anyone could style my hair for an evening event; like a scene from a movie, everyone, stylists and customers alike, stopped and stared. "This white lady must be lost!" The only free stylist, a guy (sorry, I didnt ask your name, but youre ex-army) took me. When he finished, he turned me around to the mirror: I was horrified! Side-parted, the full side of my hair was all piled up in a falling cascade of horizontal waves. I looked like a meringue! I murmured as I paid, "This really isnt me..." Army just smiled and said, "Just comb it." At home, having walked through Durham humidity, I did just that: a few strokes of my wide-toothed comb and it looked fantastic! Shiny, silky, just the right amount of movement! How did he know??

the prices are way too high for a shop with less than average wrk. not impressed. my stylist was very quiet even upon trying to hold friendly conversation with her she wouldnt budge.I went once and never went bck. to make matters worse I called and went up there to gt a price 4 my style and the ghetto fabulous owner kept interrupting when I was trying to talk to the stylist trying to so called make sure she quoted me correctly. money hungry and its clear she needs to take a few business etiquette trainings.my stylist also confirmed one price over the phone and in person upped it 20.00 claiming they adjust if your hair is longer or thick. bs!!!#

I suggest if you are natural with natural CURLS and want a blowout; your hair will NOT revert back. This is a ⚠️ WARNING. The look of the style was really nice but But its Really really damaged. I didnt even realize how much heat was used until I tried wetting my hair after two weeks and it remained straight. But oh well, Ill just have to work with it until it goes back to its normal state. Nice people. Nice staff. Decent price. But my hair is my baby. The hair Looked really good. GOOD. The lady that did my hair was awesome!

I went on a Tuesday before 4pm so I had stylist to my discretion. My stylist was extremely nice and held good conversation. The best blow out I have had since I have been natural (both times!). I am shocked that they did not use heat protection serum on my hair though, I will be bringing that with me next time for sure as well as anti-humidity serum. But even with the rain, my blow out was able to last 2 weeks even though I had to flat ironing it myself as well and getting it braided for a week.
