My husband and I come to the Wine Room often because we live nearby. We stopped by to see our favorite waitress, Katie, tonight and were very sad to hear she was no longer working there. Weve noticed such a turnover with employees lately.. every time we come in, its hard to find a familiar face. We asked our new waitress about the wine menu, and she was completely clueless. It turns out, shes not even old enough to drink! The young man behind the bar didnt look of age, either. Our food came late, and it seems that our server was very distracted and overwhelmed because she was training someone new. Not to mention that there has been severe price-jacking lately! We used to get a bottle of wine from the market for $15.. now we see that the bottle it marked for $33!!!! I cant believe it. I feel that this place has so much potential, but management clearly has some issues. I didnt really see a manager on duty while we were there.. just a bunch of young kids trying to do their best.

This review only covers two areas: coffee and bakery. Their coffee bar is great. No complaints. Avoid the bakery like the plague. D&D had this coming--being that I live close, Ive repeatedly tried to give their bakery second-third-fourth chances. I would rather take the 40 minute drive to IKEA to pay $2.99 for their amazing chocolate cake than walk across the street to purchase their $6.95 slice of gravel. ALWAYS dry, ALWAYS tasteless, and I purchased tiramisu that was spoiled. The cream was sour and they admitted the batch of espresso they used had gone bad. Perhaps under different management things would be different. I dont know what their deal is. Save your money (and risk of possible food poisoning) and go to Harris Teeter.

The soup and salad service here is terrible. I come here at least twice a week. Today I came in at 11.10 am. There is NO ONE in line. I stood in front of the salad/soup counter in plain sight of the guy who was prepping the salad bar. I thought he saw me ( I had already asked him a question earlier) and I wanted to let him finish thinking he would get to me soon. Nothing. Two women walked in and he jumped to asked them what they wanted. I told him I would like a soup seeing that I was there first. Not even an apology that he had ignored me for 5 mins. I have never felt so invisible before. This place charges and arm and a leg for food. The least it can do is to at least have staff who dont ignore customers.

I love D & D. Everything is always delicious and fresh. Its your one stop for movie snacks, a quick bit before you catch the latest Ryan Gosling flick or just a chill evening on the patio with friends and a bottle of wine. D & D has a lot to offer from sandwiches and salads to massive brownies and lattes. I like going to Dean & Deluca when I want really good food without the fuss. Just pick what you want at one of the counters, pay for it at the register and your done! D&D also serves a pretty decadent breakfast. I went for brunch the past Sunday. The chocolate chip pancakes are amazing, packed with dark, milk and white chocolate and cooked to just crispy perfection.

I ordered a cappuccino there today. The drink came out scalding hot, and the milk even tasted burnt. My daughter ordered an iced green tea. They gave her a hot tea and a cup of ice, and charged her more than a hot tea would have cost. She had to do the work herself. After she let the tea steep, she poured it into the ice. The ice immediately melted, and the drink was not as cold as she hoped. It was diluted and tasted "like dirt". Needless to say, we wont be back.

Stopped here one night for drinks and dessert. Had driven by it many times but never actually gone in. Ive been missing a great place. We didnt have any food other than several desserts which were fantastic. Im sure their food is equally as good. Drinks were also prepared really well and they actually fill up wine glasses rather than shorting you with every pour. Definitely will be back.

Bad customer service. Had to wait 10 minutes at the center counter until I was noticed. Lots of chatting between staff. I wanted to get smokes salmon and was told they did not have any. I asked to check in the kitchen and they came out with smoked salmon. Went to cashier station and nobody was there. Had to wait till someone noticed me. Almost left groceries and left.

My favorite place for breakfast. This place actually makes me want to be a morning person. They came out with a new menu a few months ago and the new menu is great. The breakfast burrito is very good and you can sub fruit instead of breakfast potatoes. The applewood smoked bacon sandwich is very filling and delicious as well.

Excellent service in recent months. New management has made each visit a delight. Their wine director, Shawn, is knowledgeable and helpful in making just the perfect wine selection. The food is served with flair and delicious as well. One of my favorite wine bars in Charlotte!

Great breakfast, coffee, tea. Nice patio as well for outdoor dining. Unlimited refills on the ice tea which is great if youd like to spend sometime relaxing and reading. Be sure to stay away from the dessert bar if you are watching your diet. Its fun to look, but so tempting!

Perfect for picking up lunch or takeout for dinner, I highly recommend their twice-baked potatoes to liven up your own cooked meal. Dont forget to stop by after a movie for a coffee and pastry, the chocolate croissants are a perfect end to a date night.

Fantastic store with a great selection of food - wine bar included. They have live music sometimes. A great, relaxing, and upscale place to gather with friends. Staff is very warm and always asks me if I would like to sample any of their gourmet food

All staff is very helpful, and its great to be able to taste the food before you order it. The food ranges from "just ok" to "really good". The prices range from "expensive" to "really expensive". Best item in the bakery: challah.

Super expensive, bought the English toffee caramels thinking that they wouldn’t taste just like raisens but to my disappointment they do. I mean I guess the other stuff would be good but like I was really disappointed.

I first went to Dean & Deluca in D.C. Its defintely nice to get good quality food and the choices are much greater than what you can get at a typical grocery. A little pricier, but i think worth it to eat healthy.

When I visited Brittnay was my server. She made sure my cup was never empty and all of my request were fulfilled. I would definitely recommend any fan of wine to stop by and grab some good food and some wine.

I love the assortment of gourmet sundries and freshly prepared foods. Great for a lunch or coffee date. Prices are higher than you can find elsewhere but the selection is fun to explore and unique.

Food was terrible. Food arrived cold, and when told the gentleman behind the counter he just tossed it in a microwave. Dry and bland food, if I wanted microwaved food I couldve gotten it at home.
