We drove a long way to spend a few days at Hilton Head. Arrived at this Panera Bread at 7 minutes until 8 p.m. Closing time is 8 p.m. The door was locked and the young woman emptying trash cans gestured with her hands that they were closed. I pointed to the door and she turned her back. There were 2 females and a male in the store working but no one came to the door and offered to serve us. We were able to find a nearby Zaxbys for a salad where the manager was extremely nice, and took good care of us. Bad customer service, Panera! I was very disappointed since this is a go to for us when were on the road.

Awful panera store. One of the worst. They constantly got the order wrong, and when I emailed the manager I got a email back saying that they called my number listed and it wouldnt go through? Strange because it works. When I replied no answers to my questions. Not looking for a free hand out but rather my order correct. Esp when I am ordering 4-7 meals at a time. The workers are just plain upset about working, or seem that way anyhow. And they are gabbing behind the counter, occasionally heard a few swear words that my son even picked up on. I have yet to return to this panera.

Seriously so bad. My family and I visited for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. As soon as we walked in, we felt that the service would not be great, as there was no one at the register to take our order. They were out of a type of bread needed to make my sandwich, meat for another sandwich, and were out of the ingredients to make more sweet tea, which they were completely out of. Floors and tables in our area were not clean. Workers spent their time socializing with each other, rather than serving customers. I usually enjoy Panera Bread at other locations, but this one is awful.

Ordered the Smokehouse Turkey Panini, received the Roasted Turkey and Avocado BLT Sandwich. I was getting it to go, so I didnt get to see the actual sandwich till I got back to my office - big mistake. First the sandwich they gave me was wrong, then the sandwich they did give me had no BACON! I paid $8.99 plus tax for a small, poorly made sandwich, that didnt taste very good. I will never go back to ANY Panera, they are the worst! Atlanta Bread Company is by far the better of like restaurants.

Rundown and gross. Everytime Ive been there, your workers never seem to pay attention and every tea/lemonade is fermented. We asked for potato soup since the website says it served it and the guy behind the counter said ok. He came back while we noticed how fermented the green tea was (we tried the others to take instead and they were fermented too) and the man said that there was no potato soup today after we paid. We got our refund and left with nothing. Never going back again :)

Did an online order. Got there in 20 minutes and they hadnt started it. Was out of tomato basil bread, and then after being offered whole wheat, they were out of that too. They were out of most all the pastries, out of most of the bread. Chatted about rude customers (no doubt, dont be rude!). Waited another 15 mins in the place. This was a regrettable mistake for a quick meal at the beach.

The one in Hilton Head is disappointing. 1.) plates piled up. 2.) smells like garbage. Literally. Trash needs to be taken out more often. 3.) changing table for babies is broken. 4.) high chairs are nasty. Havent been cleaned. The only reason why I say that is because I wiped it down. 5.) cashier bags pastries but in the process wipes her nose.

Getting a one star for a very specific reason. The website and listing on Google both show that this location is open until 9pm on Sundays. However, and as I just found out, it closes at 8pm. Moreover, the online ordering system let me place an order in after 8pm and charged me. When I got to the store no one could help. Not cool Panera!

The food was good. The people working there seemed miserable. I always make it a habit to say please and thank you. They didnt even respond. Took my order, that was it. Didnt even look up at me. I travel and frequent many paneras, this was the only one that I would cross off my list.

Picked up some souffles, bagels, and coffee for the family. The service was quick and friendly, and there was a drive through. The food was hot fresh and cheaper than most places on the island. Cant really ask for more than that.

The customer service sucks roxie complained she just wanted to sit down for five seconds after I asked if I c an change my wifes salad for a sandwich I work in the food services and I never talk to my customers like that

Bagels are my favorite, but they seldom have a good selection. Warm bread is served with the soup, but why must I ask for butter? I like that the soup is always available since I prefer soup for lunch. Easy parking.

There must have been some staff changes because I experienced nothing akin to the other poor reviews here. They were polite, the food was fast and good, and the facilities were clean. What more can you ask for?

Soup bowl was awesome! French Onion soup was a bit too salty for my taste. The Buffalo Chicken Panini seem to be missing most of the chicken. Had a little tiny bit that covered maybe 20% of the bread.

I LOVE Panera Bread....their Mediterranean Egg White sandwich is so yummy!! Ive been eating here alot recently due to a business trip and its been nice to be able to pop in and pop out with great food!

Worst meal ever. These folks cant even make a decent sandwich. Might as well thrown my $20.00 bill in the trash. Thats where the sandwich and soup went. Pastry rack was empty also. Dont waste your time.

Went there at 11 AM and they had 2 plain bagels, no cream cheese. Dont go there for bagels, almost always out of stock.
