FILTHY & GROTESQUE !!!! -ceilings caving in with what looks like mold spores -inches of dust accumulated on various surfaces -rust, dust, dirt and old dried wax dripping from eyebrow wax station -rust on the floors with dries balls of hair (I was the first client so it was from days prior) -chair parts and broken mirror in the salon that has been accumulating dust and grime - I canceled my plans after leaving this establishment so I could go home and take another shower -I shook my belongings before getting in the car to assure I did not take home any unwanted critters or someone elses dried hair ball - I witnessed a staff member use a comb with a large amount of hair in it on young girl. -I also witnessed anything that falls on the floor is not sanitized. They throw it in with "clean" supplies NO DEBIT CARDS OR CREDIT ACCEPTED - had to walk across the street and incur a fee for using an off brand atm. Lady charged 48 I had to get 60 out of the ATM and she tried to tip herself by giving me back 2 dollars !!!! Staff u professional -my face, neck, front and back of my shirt were soaked -staff used same towel used to dry my hair to put on my shoulders. When I took the wet towel off I was scolded. -due to the lack of cleanliness I kept my coat but a staff member insisted on putting it up.she literally dragged my coat across the floor. Of dirt, grime and dried hair balls -I arrived at 730 am and did not leave until 1030am Majority of their clientele is obviously family/ friends and apparently the people who wrote reviews stating how great this place is.

I decided to try Styles R Us due to the many good reviews I read on Google.Well needless to say I was very disappointed because I never even got a chance to get my hair done. I arrived at the salon at 11:30 am to find they were closed, I called and a man told me to come back in an hour. Well 45 minutes later he called me and asked would I be there on time(12:30) and I agreed. So here it is 12:25 pm and I am waiting for him to arrive, no show. I called him again and he kept telling me he would there in 5 minutes, its now 12:45,12:50, still no one. A waste of my time and a loss of a potential customer. So I ended up at Yvelisses on Archdale where I did not have to wait, they were friendly and courteous,thank you ladies of Yvelisse Salon!!!

This experience for me was ok. I have been natural for over 2 years now and prior to me moving back to Charlotte, NC I was located in VA where I had the BEST STYLIST EVER....she was Haitian and specialized in a HAITIAN BLOWOUT!!! No pulling or tugging and the hair after it was conditioned was as soft as a babys bottom!! Juan and Liz (the owners) were very pleasant and very personable but in my opinion their prices are a little bit to steep. My hair looks nice but I will probably not return due to the cost of their services. I wish them luck in their endeavors however but a sista got kids to feed and this salon will hurt the pockets!!! Be blessed!!

I REALLY ENJOYED THE SERVICES I RECIEVED AT THIS SALON ELIZABETH WAS MY STYLIST SHES GREAT FAST AND VERY FRIENDLY I WAS LOST AND HER HUSBAND HELPED ME GET THERE HE STOOD OUTSIDE THE WHOLE TIME UNTIL I GOT THERE AND SHOKE MY HAND AT THE DOOR... NOW THATS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICES.. MY HAIR CAME OUT GREAT VERY SOFT SHINY AND SO MUCH BOUNCE IM IN LOVE I WILL BE GOING BACK NEXT WEEK THANKS ELIZABETH YOUR THE BEST!!!!!!!! MY PRICE WAS 35 AND I HAVE SHOULDER LENGTH HAIR OTHER SALONS CHARGED 40 AND UP!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed the services I recieved at Dominican of NYC Hair Salon. Elizabeth was my hair stylist and she did an excellent job. I called prior to showing up to ask for their pricing and I was told $35 and up, once I got there the guy told me the only way the price would go up was if I got a cut, relaxer, or color which is typical. My blow out was excellent!!!! I recommend this place to anyone... Excellent work and professional and welcoming environment

I love love love this place! They are very friendly and welcoming. They will give you information on what you need to help your help your hair and maintain it! If youre the first one to come, then youll be the first one to leave, Styles are Us are very fair on how they do business!

I just moved here from SC. I called and they fit me right in. I was in and out in no time. Juan, and Elizabeth (stylist) were wonderful. She treated my hair, and blowed it. I couldnt be any happier with my hair. Love it!

This is very good salon. The stylist are knowledgeable different hair types and what products you should use. I would highly recommend this salon. The prices are affordable and they do great work.

I really thought that the whole Dominican Blowout was too good to be true...especially with my thick hair. But I was proved wrong today. This couple is amazing...every 2 weeks I will be back!

This was my first blow out and I was very well pleased. Juan and Liz are very friendly, Liz did a good job on my hair and told me how to manage my hair at night. I will visit them again.

Being from New York I was worried about finding someone in the south to do my hair just as well as a New Yorker...I FOUND SOMEONE!!!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!
