Just took a trip in my new car and took to AB to get the bugs off. I asked for the inside/outside/wheel clean. When done, the employee showed me the overall car and the interior so I paid a tip and drove home. This is where it goes downhill. When I got home I noticed a 12" scratch on my quarter panel running through to my driver side door. I took back and met with the manager who had me fill out a claim sheet. He said procedure is to first look at the equipment in the car wash bay and determine if anything in there is improper. Waited almost half hour and he came back "Just as I suspected, no issues in wash bay". So asked what is next then. "Well we will take your car through again and see if it gets more scratches". What! Yes that is their scientific way to find out if they are to blame. I complied though and they send back through. Afterwards, guote... "Just as I suspected, no new scratch". His passive aggressive way of calling me a liar. Their friendly demeanor leaves when conditions are anything other than perfect. I Left after an hour of red tape, apathetic service and frustration. Oh BTW, they didnt even wipe my car down the second time through and left all these water spots. Got home explained to wife and kids. Son suggested taking a picture and comparing to a picture taken the day before (new car). The picture revealed the scratch and on the other picture it was not there further confirming that the scratch was done at the shop (I wouldve noticed this otherwise). I sent in complaint to corporate and the district manager called me back in. Said hed only be there until 11:00am. Left work and met with mgr. He looked for about two seconds and said not responsible. I asked how he determined that. "You had wax on the scratch which hid it. When we cleaned the wax off the scratch became visible again". Really, OK then lets put some wax on it again and see if it disappears. No, we dont do that here. "Ok, why did you call me to come by during my work hours just to immediately deny my claim"? "We are required to see claims when a customer writes in to corporate". Basically they are just going through the motions. Both managers were so apathetic like they just didnt care at all. I never yelled or cursed at them but was obviously frustrated. I cant believe anyone has ever been accepted for their claim. I imagine it was not the wash equipment that scratched my car but an employee wiping it down, maybe had grit in the cloth with recycled water or a cell phone or belt rubbing. I dont think it was on purpose but now my new car has a 12" scratch. I sent in another complaint to corporate and included my car pictures, one with scratch and the other with no scratch. Basically nothing you can do? Tintworld quoted me $100 dollars to fix the scratch and their manager told me he had a similar incident at another Autobell and was denied a claim as well. He spent 2 hours at the location. They could easily pay for their damage and I might go back again someday but now I will never go back. Ill wash my car myself and save the money, time and aggravation.

The antenna on my wifes Lexus was crunched while going thru the car wash today. So.... It may seem very odd that we are giving them 5-stars. ..... But, heres the rest of the story..... immediately the supervisor, Chris, noticed the problem, came and told my wife what happened and reassured her they would take care of it. (Note: Technically, like most car washes, the car wash company is not responsible for this sort of damage.... weve all seen those signs...always hoping this sort of thing doesnt happen to our own car). However, Chris called the manager, who it turns out was out of state. So instead of telling my wife we would have to wait, Chris immediately called the district manager, Matt. Over the phone, Matt walked Chris thru the process of getting the dangling antenna off the car so it wouldnt scratch up the paint. They then called a local Lexus dealership, picked up a brand new antenna, and called us to meet them back at Auto Bell to have the new antenna installed a couple hours later. If that wasnt kind enough, Chris also gave us two complimentary free full service car wash passes to boot!! This was our first experience with this car wash, but one thing is for certain... They earned and have our business! Talk about integrity and going the extra mile... They went above and beyond. Refreshing to say the least! I think the nay-sayers who submitted the negative reviews I just read on this site.......must be the "few and far between" because no way are they talking about the same people we just did business with today. Thank you Chris and Matt!! Amazing!

The Auto Bell Car Wash on New Garden in Greensboro, NC needs to be closed if it cannot do any better. The bug guts that were left behind... well, I didnt exactly expect them all to be gone for only $24. But, the water spots and heavy debris that were left behind were inexcusably bad. And, my car was left with a thick, hazy, gray film. I know they are required to recycle water. But, change the filter, please! The positive side of my visit included very friendly staff, fast service, and very reasonable price (that is, had my car turned out clean). The wheels and tires were downright perfect. And, the interior vacuum work was impeccable. So, I gave them two stars. However, getting the outside of my car clean is the main reason I took it to Auto Bell. So, if you dont mind overpaying for a quick cleaning of your wheels, tires, and upholstery by friendly staff, I recommend this Auto Bell on New Garden.

I generally go to the New Garden Auto Bell out of convenience but I rarely leave pleased with the quality of the cleaning. I stopped in this morning when they were not busy and paid for the special which was to clean and dry the outside, vacuum, armor all the inside and apply tire shine. After being asked by and employee if I thought it looked good I pointed out several areas on the inside doors that were not wiped clean, a very obvious drink spill on the leather seats that was not wiped up and as I drove away I noticed the entire center of my dashboard had not been amour alld, tire rims were not wiped clean, missed vacuuming up dirt and the entire inside and outside of my car has lint all over it from the "new" towels. I definately do not feel that I got my monies worth.

Update: Well, a new low. My car was hit twice by the car behind mine in the wash. The first time the car behind me somehow jumped over the track and the second time was at the end when the employee couldnt figure out how to disengage my electronic parking break so the car behind mine caught up and ran into my car. WTF? And, they kind of apologized but didnt seem too concerned. I really dont know why I keep trying. They consistently dont completely dry the car or finish the job. Prior Review: Its probably 90% of the time that my car sits in the sun and dries leaving water spots. They never have enough staff.
