Im not going back to this car/ pet wash ever again. I really liked bringing my dog here because it was an inexpensive way to give her a good bath without getting hair all over my bathroom, but after my most recent experience, Im not going back. The owner doesnt let you know about how the company tries to hold $20 of your money every time you make a transaction. They did this, and I had enough money for my $8.80 pet wash, but because I didnt have enough money for their "hold," I was charged with $66 in overdraft fees from my bank. I talked to Ryan in person and he blamed the bank for it. After talking to the bank I found out that the Merchant, not the Bank, has control over when the hold is dropped. Ryan didnt drop the hold til 2 days after my transaction (in which time my $8.80 had already gone through). He lied to the bank and said he dropped the hold after an hour...but the paperwork and overdraft fees dont lie. He wasnt willing to pay any part of this or give me any free washes for what happened. He told my banker that this was my way of "being taught a lesson." Well, heres his lesson: not only am I part of a Rescue Animals Club at ISU (a club with a lot of pet-owning students and members of the community) and have several friends who are vet students, I have access to the Worldwide Web and now all you know how terrible his sense of Customer Service is. I used to recommend people to use the wash, now Im going to warn them to stay away. Id advise you to do the same.

Some liquid fell on top of my shoes and turned into rubber like material and since it got into fibers, it wont come off. I was there for a quick wash on the way so I wasnt prepped. Its just shoes that gets dirty, but being a new $180 shoes, I wasnt happy. Also, their power washer is way too strong, it peeled clear coat off of my front bumper. Sure, its just a clear coat on a car that I paid $60k new few years ago. This place looks clean right by the rail road, but I have no idea what type of soap they use that would turn into rubber and gooey. Maybe, the spot I was in wasnt used for a while and soap that was trapped turned into goo. I lived in Chicago, DC, Cleveland, Virginia and NY and never been to a car wash that charges $1 per minute.

Took my Tahoe through the automatic wash for $11 and thought it would clean it. Came out with of the wash and check it out to find it didnt clean it worth a crap. I tried to get ahold of the phone number thats posted on the website to inform them of this but I have not received an answer. I thought maybe they would take care of there customers a little better but I was wrong. I will say though, I Like the dog wash. My wife and I have used it many times to wash our two dogs but the price is pretty high.

I think this place deserves 4 or 5 stars easily. Plenty of options at the hand wash (tire cleaner, presoak, wash, dry etc, etc.) This place also has cool LED rope lighting on the ceiling and has always been clean in the garage cleaning space. Water is very warm and you can just tell your car will love it. Best car wash in Ames. I recommend the higher-end cars come here and do a hand wash themselves with microfiber towels.

I went to wild water car wash for their vacuums and paid with my Visa card to use them. The machine claimed it would cost $2 but after I paid I looked at my card statement balance and it had took out $5 instead of the $2. Not only did it take my money but the vacuum machine was also very weak and did clean my car to expectations.

Pre-soak = pointless. Sud wash = wayyyy too much soap. High-pressure rinse = very, very low pressure. No way the $3 for 4mins gets the job done with the massive amount of soap. Only giving 2 stars because they take credit/debit cards. Wont be going back. Ill stick to the self-serve wash on south Duff.

Used the dog wash for the first time today. $8 for 10 mins bring exact change they dont give change back. They had 2 different kinds of shampoos, rinse, conditioner, skunk wash, and tick and flea rinse. Also a blow dryer and vacuum. Bring your own towel otherwise you can buy one for $1.

I use the touchless Lynn Car Wash service at least once month. Although I could do better in terms of cleaning the car, the place where I live and the weather condition doesnt always supportive. They offer a couple type of cleaning along with vacuum and car fragrances.

Ryan (the owner) is a liar. He had my regular business and then he thought it would be a good idea to lie to me to sell me a product. Id recommend any of the Kum&Go carwashes in Ames. They are cheaper and so far they havent done anything dishonorable.

My preferred car wash due to its proximity to home. Usually visits are great. Occasionally theres a visit where you pay for the premium wash, but the wax container is empty and you dont get what you paid for. Kind of rare though, so still 4 stars.

They dog wash is great for when my pup gets really dirty as my apartment doesnt have a bathtub. The price is pretty high ($8) for only 10 minutes but its better than a dirty smelly dog.

I had an excellent car wash but their credit card slot is messed up where after you use your credit card it will give someone else a free car wash on your credit card.

Water pressure seems to be lower than other places. It seemed to cost me $3 here than at my typical place. The auto wash was not able to get my car completely clean.

Decent price, bays refurbished and cleaned up recently. Good pressure. Keep an eye when using as they sometimes run out of the wax setting.

This is my favorite wash in Ames. I do the self wash. Just wish it was a little bit cheaper, esspecially vacuuming.
