Its a bit hard for me to write this review. I really dont do very many negative reviews because I think they need to be reserved for the worst possible situations, be entirely fact based, and written without emotion. I also believe that even the worst possible situations need to be discussed with the business first, to see if a reasonable solution can be reached. Well, I think Ive been about as patient as possible, and Im definitely not writing this review with any negative emotion. Its just gotten to a point that I think others need to know about my familys situation. In June 2010, we paid $7 to SouthRidge Car Wash at 7140 West 121st Street in Overland Park, Kansas for an automatic car wash. Lucas (Luke) Schlup represented himself as the owner – although another Schlup family member may now be the owner (but its all operated by the same family). At the conclusion of the wash, our car was missing its rear windshield wiper and Molle Toyota estimated the damage at nearly $600. We followed all of the instructions of the wash, did not turn on the wiper during the wash, and did not have any custom or modified parts on our vehicle. It was a simple wash, which we have done hundreds of times at other car washes – but this was our first experience at SouthRidge Car Wash. In order to keep this as brief as possible, lets just say that we bent over backwards to have this resolved – even going so far as to agree to submit it to our own insurance, having the car wash only responsible for our $100 deductible. Well, Luke refused. So, we had to go to small claims court. Of course, we won, and now they owe even more. It seemed like an easy judgment, actually. However, we are going into nine months after the judgment and, even with the courts assistance, we still havent received the money due from the incident. Weve contacted SouthRidge Retail Center, Inc., who Luke now claims actually owns the car wash, yet they have verbally refused to pay in phone discussions (yes, they know that we won the judgment). Weve contacted the band manager for Montia, a musical group of which Luke Schlup is a member, and the band manager claims that "we dont handle ANY money for the band" – even though it is apparent online that Montia has recorded some music with a famous producer, Michael "Elvis" Baskett, and is trying to get a tour in Europe. It has gotten to the point that we are filing a garnishment of earnings to try to collect. I just dont want anyone else to have to go through this with SouthRidge Car Wash, so that is why Im leaving the review. If you have similar circumstances with this car wash, you are welcome to look up our case in Johnson County court to assist with your own proceedings. Our case number is 10SC342. Best wishes to all as spring arrives and you are looking for a good car wash. (Update: 4/12/2011 Today Im mailing a Satisfaction of Judgment to the courthouse because the car wash finally paid the judgment in full. However, my rating remains the same.)

My daughter purchased a $250 prepaid card from Blue Lagoon Car wash as a gift to My wife and I. When our balance was about $170 they told us they would no longer honor the card. I was already in line so I had to take the quick exit. They did not even let me get the wash i was in line for. That was the last time i will go to Blue Lagoon. Their explanation.... Different locations are franchises and the location where she bought the card had closed so too bad for me! My advice dont buy their prepaid cards if you go at all.

the brush on the right side was so strong it pushed my side view mirror to face forward...luckily it didnt tear it off b/c my cars side view can adjust that way. If that happened on my wifes car, that side view mirror may very well would have been ripped off...b/c it takes a lot of force to move it. Someone I know had his rear wiper ripped off recently. They only offered him some free washes...LOL.

Bad customer service, they give me a confirmed quote and when I showed up, they did not honor it. The owner said, “Your car is really dirty”???!!! I know it was and that is why I brought it in. It is not right to promise something and not deliver on it. I left and will not go back. It hurt me to say this about a local business, but I will not recommend it.

I paid for the Fire and Ice wash yesterday, which i get often. And this time when I went through the wash I got the basic wash. No wheel brite, or shine protection or wax or any extras. I know it was a busy day, but I was very disappointed that my wash got mixed up and got a basic wash for $18.

Theyre always friendly and I get a professionally cleaned car. I like getting the wet cloth when I first pull through so I can clean the inside while I am going through the wash. I gave them a 5

Very nice car wash. Not the cheapest but the price includes some nice little extras. The area where you can vacuum your car is covered, which is very nice on a hot afternoon.
