I went to several loc stylist for consultation before I came Loc Nation. Everyone had their own thoughts on how my hair should look without considering what I really wanted. Loc Nation was my last consultation, before I made the decision that I needed to travel outside of Greensboro. When I went to her and told her what I wanted and how I was hoping my locs would look. She said, "Okay, Your hair can do what you are looking for". Five months later, I am still over joyed with my locs and they are growing out they way I wanted them and I constantly get complements on them. Desi is awesome!!!! Highly recommend her!!!!

Desiree has been maintaining my hair since February 16th 2014 when she 1st started me on my loc journey. In that time my hair has thrived and thickened. Her constant encouragement and praises over what I once hated (super thick hard to manage hair that broke the hardest of combs, later damaged by perms and flat irons) has helped me truly embrace my tresses. Ive never been one to enjoy the whole "beauty shop" experience but Desiree makes it easy to relax and open up. She is a genuine spirit and amazing natural hair guru. Im hoping she stays in the Greensboro area for as long as we need her here.

Desiree has been my go to for my natural hair care needs for me and my 3 daughters for over 15 years. Whether its maintaining and styling my locks or creating an "all eyes on me do" for that one special event Desiree never disappoints. I love that she can take me from college administrator to the bell of the ball with her talented hands. Her hours are flexible and she is always conscious of my time. I went to Loc Nation and it was an enjoyable experience. Desiree was kind, and talented. She did my 6-year-old daughters hair in 2 strand twists and my hair in single-strand twists. Hands-down, I would say that she has been the best stylist I have encountered in my year-and-a-half long search for a good natural stylist while in N.C. She is also very good with children. I really appreciated that she provided a variety of options for styles and is very creative. She is very professional. You will not be disappointed at Loc Nation!!!

I had the worst ever loc instalation and Desiriee corrected them she truly was a Godsend and ill continue to come here to Loc Nation...she truly cares about her work and is a Natural Hair Care Licensed stylist...when i came to her shop my locs were showing visible thread and when i washed them they splatterd dye everywhere..the stylist i went to at Rainbow locs of love "Trina" told me that she didnt use glue or thread clearly she lied to me ..if you go there u will regret it i spent $1000 to have my hair thin and fall out

I went here when i decided to loc my hair and it was a great choice. They treat you like family. I was treated very kindly and I just got my hair done today for the second time and i loveee it! They have cheap affordable prices. To dread my long hair was only 80 dollars and my retwist was only 65$. They also sell other things in their hair store like hair jewelry, all natural hair oils and products, and my personal favorite- incents!! Great choice for real african hair braiding and dreads.
