Ive had countless haircuts in my 12 years of military service and no matter how many places I try around the world, Chery is by far the best. Additionally, the ambience of Gibson salon is super chill and friendly and the interior decor is awesome with a rustic meets industrial juxtaposition. Being a guy I always feel slightly awkward walking into a "salon" and a lot of places sort of look at me funny as I walk in. But the entire staff of Gibsons was extremely welcoming and basically made me feel like part of some sort of family that likes to hang out and socialize in this amazing space. Chery also turned me on to a hair product that I love and cant find anywhere else. I wish I lived closer to Charleston or that theyd open a salon in Guam. Lastly, as I stated on Gibson Hair and Makeup Facebook page, if you want to look like a $10 haircut, then by all means head on out to your local corporate chain at strip mall anywhere America. But if you want a personal experience with a style that sets you apart, head to Gibson. You will most definitely not be disappointed. Thanks guys for the amazing experience!!!

I had an awesome experience at Gibson on Princess. Jennifer was phenomenal. She is super kind and generous of her time. She made me feel like a million bucks. Very good with color and cut. And I cant think of the front desk coordinators name but he is absolutely perfect for the salon. Hes everything you want. Hes attentive, engaged, super sweet and hospitable. I loved talking to him. And he gave me a hug when I left which really made me feel great. It really made my day so much sweeter. And last, the Kevin Murphy products are amazing. I bought shampoo, a clarifying shampoo (Jenny suggested I use once per week because I have well water), conditioner, a smoothing cream and a curl cream. I have to say that its the best products I have used in a long time. I am never super thrilled with hair products but these are definitely much different. I am so glad I found this salon.

This review is long overdue, but since recently moving from charleston and going to another salon I am once again reminded of how much I loved getting my haircut from chery! The dry cut she does is awesome! Its quick and easy, and your hair falls so naturally after. I have never had a cut that looked so good from day 1-month 4 (and honestly I could have gone longer). If you have fine hair with a natural wave the dry cut is fabulous! I showed her a pic of a style done by a salon in Beverly Hills and she nailed the look! And added bonus, it was a fraction of the price they would have charged! I never had color done there but wish I had had the time to, bc I know it would have been awesome!! I wish chery would open a salon in Tampa :) I have been to many salons in multiple states and she is far and away the most talented! Charleston is very lucky to have this kind of talent.

Ive known Chery Gibson for several years and can honestly say she is an amazing stylist and makeup artist. She is very creative and talented with her craft. She has been a good friend to me for years now and is a successful business owner in a great location in downtown Charleston. She takes care of her clients and works hard to meet their scheduling needs. Shes great with both mens and womens cuts and is a color specialist. I went to the new location on Princess Street and the stylist I went to is Colleen. Could NOT say better things about the salon in general AND Colleen. The salon is new, beautiful, super friendly staff, I could go on and on. Colleen is a true hair goddess. Being a blonde, its hard to find someone who can make you hair actually look how you want it to look -- COLLEEN CAN AND DOES. Shes by far the best I have ever been to :)

Bah! I was so pleased with my time at Gibson Hair. My stylist really took her time with my hair and have me her full attention throughout the appointment (meaning she didnt double/triple book me with someone else as some salons do). They have very reasonable prices for such high quality work. This is the best cut and color Ive ever had, and Ive had quite a few! I have definitely found my "forever" stylist at Gibson!

Cherys talent is multifaceted, which is equally incredible in each area: Hair, Makeup and best of all, she is very perceptive to her clients needs and wants. Chery has been my Hair Stylist a.k.a. Hair Fashioner for over 3/years and I am always so excited about her never-ending sense of style: I have heard more compliments than I ever could imagine on my hairs style and color. Basically, she rocks.

Jerri did and incredible job on my hair!!! She took it from deep brown to a pastel pink and I couldnt be happier. If you are looking for a good cut, color, or style Jerri is definitely your girl!! Book her while shes still available! You wont regret it. This is the best treatment Ive had from a salon stylist in years!

Incredible interior design, very stylish. Second only to the friendly staff - The owners clearly know what theyre doing. Everybody made me feel welcome (ok, so I went to my wifes stylist - you got a problem with that??), even enjoyed a beverage along the way. Might be done with barbers...

Wonderful! I love this salon! Its in a great location and you get excellent 1:1 customer service! In addition, Amy Walker is amazing!! I have been using her for years and she does the best cut and color! It is a pleasant experience as I know I will leave happy every time!!

I love this place! It took me a couple tries to find a person I could trust to do my hair once I moved to Charleston but I found Jeana 2.5 years ago and will not go anywhere else!! She does an amazing job with both the color and cut!
