My husband took our 5 year old and 10 year old to get cuts on Sat. December 20. I have taken my 5 year old before and been very happy with the cut (Gina). When they got home it didnt even look like the 5 year old had gotten a haircut. I went back two more times to try to get a recut but the place was to busy to wait. I finally got back today they did a recut even though it was past the 7 days. I did not know anything about the 7 days as it says nothing about that on the reciept. Gina did a great job today. I explained to her and showed her the reciept and after cutting for a few minutes she asked me "Are you sure he had a haircut cause this dont look like no haircut"? ! Of course I was sure that Latresia tried to cut his hair and did a terrible job. I also was told today that if you come back for a recut you dont need to wait in line. Wish I had known as I could have saved myself time and fustration. I hope someone in management reads this and takes steps to have Latresia taught how to cut little boys hair.

Might be one of the worst customer service based salons ive ever been to. Walked in to no one at the counter, three people already sitting there who also have not been greeted. Finally, we get a lady who we think will be great based on her own personal appearance. My fiance an i walk over to her chair to collab on what exactly we are looking for in his cut/style. Immediately she is thrown off, clearly shes had a long day (maybe no break based on her attitude) Asks who wants what since its his head, than continues on to not even look at me while i speak. Than just about starts an argument with me while going over specifics. Sorry but youre job is NOT that hard. You are there to make youre client happy with their personal appearance. Not only did we both immediately become uncomfortable. Other clients waiting for cuts commented on it as well. Hopefully you take note of proper customer service, even at youre worst. This is just not acceptable. Not sorry to say we will never be back.

Literally gave me the worst hair cut of my entire life, I left the place crying. The woman did the EXACT opposite of what I asked, most likely on purpose. I said "Dont cut my bangs too short, I want them to cover my eyebrows and just BARELY cut my ends." My hair is so short and my bangs are so lopsided, I look like a 4 year old now. Its going to take months to grow this awful hair cut out. Im so sad. Not only that but the woman sprayed water directly into my eye and then wiped it off with a towel, smearing my makeup down my face.

Back in December 2015 I ran across Famous Hair on James Island. The salon was very crowded,but in return I had a lovely lady named Paris cut my hair and got me out of there just in time for me to have dinner with my whole family.! Yesterday I return back to that same salon and requested Paris. Paris in return cut my hair gave me beautiful long layers and amazing highlights for the summer. I just want to drop a big THANK YOU to Paris for making me look sexy for the summer.

This is the WORST hair cutting experience ever I asked for 4 inches to be cut if they got off 2centemeter and added layer which I didnt ask for them I asked if she would do layers in the front as well she sighed and took 2:00 minutes to chop off the front off my hair this was the WORST haircut I have ever experienced so I payed 20 dollars for her to cut 3 strands of hair never go here try strawberry blonde it is an amazing salon

Went in for a trim today, now I shave my head myself typically but my trimmers broke, so I only needed the sides & back of my head trimmed. It took the stylist less than 10 minutes to do the cut and it cost $14 then I asked for my goatee to be trimmed and she did it, without mentioning the additional $7 fee. Seven bucks for 45 seconds of work....RIP OFF! I will never ever go back to this place.

Management doesnt read the millions of online reviews available. If you are truly trying to give constructive criticism have the balls to call them personally rather than slamming them on an anonymous website. Because that means you simply wish to complain. PS - I have no affiliation and am merely a customer that was looking to find their phone number. Felt the need to right a wrong today.

I have gotten both the worst and best experiences with this salon. It strictly depends on who you get. I recommend Paris. She has given me excellent service and exactly what I have asked. Had to give 3 stars because I have also gotten perm that didnt last 2 weeks and operator that didnt know how to give one. If not for the inexperienced this would get 5 stars.

If you want a warm seat to place you bottom in while you wait an hr for a haircut then this is the place for you.
Lobby full of people and " insert the usual ethic class" decides its break time in the middle of the daily rush to return bright eyed and bushy tailed 15min later to create nothing I couldn't do with a weed eater to my hair.

I walked in, there were 2 cutters working, one of whom was ringing up a customer at the register. I was completely ignored, sat in a chair, waited for 15 minutes, NO ONE said a word to me. Talk about LOUSY customer service. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I walked out , went to Great Clips. Dont waste your time.

This was my 2nd haircut by Marilyn and was very pleased!She has been @ this location for 14yrs and was very pleasant and listened to my needs and the cut was just what I asked for!!Best to call if U want Marilyn,as she has many repeat clients and keeps busy!!! $14 cuts with return discounts!!

My husband just took my son here. This is the worst hair cut I have ever seen. Not only are the sides uneven, but the front is completely jagged. I am now going to have to buzz his hair because there are pieces in the front that are so short it wont be able to be properly fixed. I am furious.

Might as well have cut it myself blindfolded. Was left with strands hanging out the back, a poorly done fade, and an uneven hard part. Im actually going somewhere the next day saying a Hail Mary of a prayer that they can fix it.

I have always been treated with respect at Famous Hair. They listen to what I want and do exactly that. I rarely make appointments and they always make time for me, making sure Im comfortable. I wont go anywhere else.

I wish I could post pictures to prove. Picture of my new SC license then this haircut 2 hours later. I asked to get 1/4" off and off came 5".. it is hideously uneven. wtf. Never again!
