I have been searching for a stylist for 2 years moving here to North Carolina from California. I have been to many places and none of them compares to Essential Design Salon Annette is amazing she styled my daughters hair first and her hair had lots of life and bounce reminds me of how my mother who is a retired hair stylist. She even used a press comb which a lot of places are too lazy to use so your roots look bad thats a plus for me! I even sent the after photo to my dad and he said "WOW...money well spent!" and he hasnt reacted like that with the other salons and I value his opinion! The experience I revieved on my scalp was awesome too she really has blessed hands from the shampoo bowl to the style seat she uses quality products on your hair, she not only loves what she does she loves her clients and uses nothing but the best trust me I know growing up in the hair shop. She is not cheap on the products! Annette is very educated and was able to tell me the concerns she had with my hair health and the products and vitamins she recommended I use at home she is definitely one of a kind because most places rather you just come to them instead of sharing their secrets!! In addition she knows Ill be moving back home in March and told me I can call her anytime and she will assist me with any concerns. Im thankful God lead me in her direction and thanks to reading reviews I came to the right place. This review is my honest opinion on this place I will never give a false review if it wasnt worth writing this is a lot to type but please give her a try she is truly the best in NC to me. I have been going to Annette now for almost 2 years. I have seen a significant growth in my hair. Her and her mom are amazing and treat you just like family. They truly care about you and not your money. I can tell this because the different places in the community I called to get rates from when I first started looking for a beautician was giving me rates double hers. I am glad I chose her because she definitely keeps up with me and my busy schedule. She squeezes you in whenever you need her too and she really works her butt off. This chick never takes any breaks because that is just how much she cares for her clients. I will remain a faithful client.

I moved here from South Florida and had been unable to find someone that could cut and straighten my very curly hair. I went on Google and found Annette with Essential Design Hair Salon. Annette and her mom are amazing and make you feel at home! I am in awe of not only my hair cut but the fact that she straightened out my hair exactly how like it! I walked out with beautiful shiny and healthy hair. Absolutely will be back! A++++

Annette will make sure you are comfortable. She not only is your stylist she is your friend. It is always a pleasure to have conversations with her and her mom. This is a family business that she takes pride in. She is very flexible on her schedule and does your hair to perfection. She does well on natural hair too as I am natural. She gives you advise on hair maintenance and is always available if you need her.

Annette is amazing! She did a fantastic job on my hair! Her and her mother are both very friendly. They took their time, and my hair was washed, cut, and styled exactly the way I wanted. My hair feels very healthy from the products that they used. They even offered recommendations and samples for products for my poor hair which I usually ignore. I would highly recommend this beauty salon.

Ive searched a long time for a stylist that believes in healthy hair, is a natural hair stylist, caring, flexible, willing to accommodate you on her schedule and will get you in and out! That is hard to find in a hair stylist!! As a bonus she a hair braider that is excellent also!! A one stop shop for me and my daughter!
