These lovely people turned what could have been a bad experience into a wonderful one! I went to get highlights with Laura about two weeks ago. After I got home, I realized that they were a lot brighter than I had intended. I felt terrible about disliking it - Laura is so nice, and she clearly did a very artistic job, the highlights were just not quite what I wanted. After a couple of days of worrying about it, and thinking maybe I would never go back, and wondering whether I could find someone as good as Laura to cut my hair, I finally made up my mind to talk to Face Value about it. I emailed and was immediately rescheduled at my earliest convenience. I was still nervous! When I got in to get my highlights fixed, Laura was immediately there to reassure me that it was perfectly fine to get an adjustment. She was so kind and friendly that I immediately felt better. She took me over to the sink and toned down my highlights to a PERFECT level. The store manager even came over and made sure I was getting exactly the service that I wanted. I love my highlight update. I am so, so glad that I got them adjusted. Now I dont have any weird feelings about coming back, and Im happy and excited about my next hair cut. The customer service here is above and beyond.

Hi, My daughter and I were at The Face Value Salon on Saturday Nov 15, 2014 for a consultation with Lucinda. She and her staff were so helpful and really took their time to help us achieve the look that we were going for. I could not be happier with the results. We live over 2.5 hours away from Charlottesville but my daughter now wants to ONLY have her hair done at FACE VALUE. She is a contestant in the Miss Virginia Teen USA Pageant next weekend and with Lucinda and her staff of expert makeup artists and hair stylists I am sure every girl utilizing there services will look fantastic. Thank you Lucinda and everyone for a great experience and we look forward to seeing you all next weekend.

I had resolved to never get my hair cut in Cville but went to see William out of desperation and after reading rave reviews. The salon is clean, trendy, and relaxing. The shampoo was great with the addition of hot towels. William was very attentive to my requests and finished the layering and detail with my hair dry (yes!). The blow-out was great as well. I will be back!

Inconsistent service due to experience of stylist. Otherwise, great for a quick trim. The shampoo seat has a massager built in which was nice and they offer Tazo tea whilst you wait. I got my tea and was immediately seen as it finished brewing which led me to awkwardly taking it to the chair. I never drank it, but it was a nice gesture!

Professional, courteous, cheerful and very creative. FV listens very carefully to what you are looking for and Ive been happy there for 5+ years after a client and good friend recommended them to me. I love both locations, Stonefield is super convenient, great parking, and I dont ever have to wait light years to be fitted in.

My wife comes here pretty much every 3-4 months and every time she has an amazing experience. She always leaves happy which is why she wont go anywhere else. Anyone that leaves a negative review is clearly someone who is never pleased with anything. This salon has the best service and stylist of any salon in Charlottesville.
