I originally went to Pure for a consultation regarding fixing my hair color. I had previously gone to a salon in Wilmington and was very unhappy with the blondish color that was accomplished via ammonia-containing hair dye. I ended up seeing Kirby, and am so happy I did. She explained what I/we needed to do to fix my hair and helped me feel confident about the process. If not for her, I would never have changed up my style and gone bright copper/red. Kirby is extremely talented and experienced and has very good taste. Also, she is knowledgable about retro hairstyles if that is something you are interested in. Everyone else who works there is great, too. Although I moved away, I will never go back to a salon that uses ammonia...only certified Organic Color Systems salons from now on. Last but not least, Organic Color Systems is certified cruelty free by PETA, which is definitely important to me and maybe important to you, too.

Pure is definitely a 5 Star Salon. The atmosphere is relaxing and the service exceptional. It is obvious that all of the staff want the customer to feel special and they certainly do succeed. Kendall does my hair and I couldnt be more pleased. I had a consultation with him in September 2013 because I had problems with the color results at another salon. He listened, made suggestions and corrected the problem. I have been going to him ever since and have consistently been more than happy with each visit and the results. He is a true professional. I would most definitely recommend Pure. It is a professional salon, using organic products and I can honestly say it is the best experience I have ever had in a salon.

Outstanding! After recently relocating to Southport, I thought I would have to drive to Wilmington for a good cut and color but found our own gem right here in town. I got an appointment quickly and Kendall took time to listen to what I wanted. He took his time and did a fabulous job. I am also impressed with the color product they use. I have suffered with psoriasis on my scalp for years and always dreaded the anticipation of the burning when the color is applied. It was the first time in years I didn’t have it. Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed!

Terrible, amateur haircut, my color is terrible after just one wash and my ends look and feel fried. This saloon should consider extensive training for their stylists. After over $250 my hair was much better before I visited this place. Maybe an improvement if youre used to SuperCuts but definitely not a "spa" quality salon.

I came in with a long think curly mess that needed to be cut and colored. I left with a long curly well put together head of hair! Tami is a genious! She should specialize in Curly Girls . I Love my hair and plan to go back for the Brazillian Blow out!!! The salon is great. Try it youll be happy you did!! Colleen Anderson

Fantastic customer service! They did my updo for my bridal portraits and wedding. They were so flexible and accommodating! The salon is adorable! Everyone was so kind and I was a bit high maintenance and they didnt stop until my hair was perfect! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Kaley is amazing! I recently relocated and was waiting to get my hair cut/colored on my trips back home. After 2 appointments with Kaley I was so comfortable I could say "do what you want" with complete faith! She is very professional, talented and I would recommend her to anyone!

The Salon was cute and nicely decorated. My stylist Tami was very sweet. Not only did she stay after hours to finish my hair but she listened to what i wanted and through time and skill my hair looks fantastic.
