This shop used to perform good work for a decent price...USED to! Went there for am O2 sensor (check engine light was on) and then an inspection. I knew that it was the downstream o2 sensor bc I had the code read for free at Advanced auto. They still insisted that I pay a 100$ "diagnostics fee" (meaning they plugged itinto a scanner and read the code for $100??) They then called and told me what I ALREADY knew...AND said that I should replace both o2 sensors, even though there was NO evidence that the other needed replacing. They then proceeded to say that the throttle body should be cleaned, mass air flow sensor cleaned, as well, as they COULD be a problem. The upselling didnt stop there! They said that I should replace my differential fluid, service the transfer case (same as replacing diff fluid), bleed and flush the brake system, and replace the grease boots on the ball joints, NONE of which had anything to do with the CE light or passing inspections! I appreciate knowing potential problems, but the last few times the upselling of simple services (coolant flush, trans. flush and filter, etc.) that I can do myself, has gotten ridiculous. They ten told me that the o2 sensor would cost me $100 ($50 at Advanced Auto), and that they wanted $100 for labor (unscrewing old 02 sensor and screwing new one in) quoted that it would take .9 hrs to perform this task!! HEH?? Counting the $100 for "diagnostics" the os sensor would cost $309!! Whoever is now managing the Military Cut Off store in Wilmington has lost their mind!! They prey on people who dont mind being robbed, women, and others who dont know much mechanical or how long a job should take! I reluctantly paid their steep $100 diagnostics fee and took my truck elsewhere! This AAA has probably caused me to choose to no longer renew my AAA membership, as I dont seem to be getting any of the benefits!

I think AAA Car Care is very expensive. I have three estimates in hand and all of them are over $700. For some reason AAA tries to replace everything related to the job whether it needs to be replaced or not. I had a problem with my distributor cap. They wanted over $1000 to replace it, the spark plugs and all the wires related to the spark plugs. Not to mention the $100 diagnostic, I told them I could not afford that much money. They worked with me by giving me the AAA discounts and said I could get by with not replacing all the spark plug wires, so the bill came down to $750. There was just no way that I could afford $1000. They promised to get the car running and that"s what they did, Sometimes the labor is twice as much as the parts. They have automatic set rates for labor even if it doesnt take as long to fix the problem. So far I have been satisfied with all the work theyve done. I also like the fact that you get a two year warranty, but Im going to try to get estimates from other auto repair shops before I let AAA Car Care do any more work on my car. I have never used any other repair shop, but others are telling me I can get a better deal. .

Im thrilled to have discovered this location, and the service they provide. I have been patronizing them for several years now and will continue to do so. The staff is always friendly and eager to assist me with whatever I need. I have had major maintenance done there now that my vehicle has over 80,000 miles (complete radiator flush, fuel injection lines cleaned, synthetic oils and filters replaced, new tires and rotations, new brakes, etc.). Katy and the maintenance team rock! Also, the facility is very nice, clean, and inviting. Internet service is available while you wait, as well as clean rest rooms, light refreshments, and cable television. The best thing is that there is also a full travel agency there, with staff to help you with insurance questions and travel information. They even renewed my international drivers permit during my visit this week. Its the best place in town for everything Ive mentioned. I cant imagine doing business anywhere else.

I scheduled an oil change with AAA because I had a $19.95 coupon for 5 qts of oil. My vehicle was serviced quickly however when I went to pay I was informed that my vehicle took 6.4 qts of oil. As a result I had to pay more for the oil change. When I went to my car I noticed there was oil on the floor mat on the drivers side and after I arrived home my husband noticed there was also oil on the door frame. I have previously taken my Camry to the Toyota dealer to have the oil change and they never charged me for more than 5 qts of oil and they always put down paper mats over the carpet mats to avoid getting oil on them. I will probably not use AAA for any more oil changes.

Moving to the area after years of having a trusted mechanic in Albany, we were happy to find AAAs Military Cutoff shop. Our first visit led to a second...and a third. VERY friendly people; and, more importantly, our cars have been fixed right when needed. This is especially important to us when it comes to our daughters car, as she attends school about 16 hours away. We appreciate the peace of mind that comes from knowing that AAA has gotten her car as road ready as possible for her trips back and forth. Wed recommend this business to anyone in the area.

The folks at AAA Carolinas Car Care went above and beyond to repair my daughters car on a Saturday morning after "another" dealership made a huge error installing a new alternator. We had to flatbed her car to shop and didnt really know what the "dealership" had done wrong but the mechanics diagnosed the issue within 30 minutes and repaired in 20 minutes.........then wouldnt charge us anything!!! Cant say enough good things about the people at AAA Carolinas Car Care !!

This was one of the worst car care experiences I have ever had. First of all I came in for a simple inspection and yet I sat in the waiting area for over an hour and a half. No one came out to tell me what was going on or to give me an update on my vehicle. So finally I went up to the front desk to ask about my car. I generally love AAAs services, but this was the worst. Never going back.

Staff at this location are super great! This is the 3rd time that I have experienced 1.50 hour service for only an oil change and tire rotation and I arrive early and on time for every appointment. My time is too valuable to have to spend it at a repair shop. The price is cheaper than the dealership, but the dealership gets me in and out within 45 minutes and washes my car.

Took my car in for my state inspection as I have done for the past couple of years. All of the staff are extremely helpful and hospitable. They have a well appointed waiting area where I can even bring my dog! Definitely recommend them for any service. I also just booked a trip with one of their travel agents...again, extremely helpful and hospitable. Great job all around!
