Owner is a nice man and a quality Carpenter but my experience with him wont win my recommendation. I felt like he deliberately tried to cut me out of my own project. Job was a buildout of a 1200 sqft restaurant. Owner required materials to be paid in full with contract signing. Likely to pay for other work he was juggling. Took 8 months to complete. Weeks would pass with no activity. Poured patio concrete the weekend of a hurricane. It didnt cure so he had to replace it. Paid in full and was provided a "Paid in Full" receipt and Lien Waiver Affidavit attesting that all subs were paid. Calls from subs telling me they had not been paid followed. Many of them told me the owner told them I stiffed HKS on payment. Reported HKS to the North Carolina Licensing Board. My issue with HKS is their dishonesty and inability to keep to a schedule not the workmanship. Final product was well done. There are issues remaining that will likely never be fixed via the HKS construction warranty however. R

HKS Quality Remodeling & Construction was referred to me by several people in my neighborhood. They have completely renovated several houses around mine and my husband and I asked them to do ours as well. They exceeded our expectations. HKS provided quality work. They replaced our siding, renovated our bathrooms and kitchen, as well as replacing all of our doors, windows, and painting. The workers were clean, polite, and worked efficiently while respecting us and our home. We are in love with our new home and reccomend HKS Quality Remodeling to anyone looking for commercial or residential repairs or construction.

Great talker but cannot produce a quality product. Hes a salesman not a carpenter. They constantly switched out the workers on site making it almost impossible for someone on site to really know what was going on. It did seem like they just looked for guys on the street willing to work for the lowest price. Low ball pricing and then upcharging for just about every little thing. They ended being a much higher price than most of the other bids because of this. Will NOT use again.

They installed new counter tops for our business. The product itself had some issues and they did everything in their power to make it right. They care about their customers and brought in cleaners to keep our store clean. Great company!

Dream bathroom renovation. I had several estimates done and HKS was the lowest. I got my dream bathroom for a great price in the amount of time that they promised. Could not be happier. Will call them when Im ready for my next re-do!

Subcontractors beware you will not get paid from these people I was warned a day to late,But hired a lawyer this week to handle it because two more GC out of Wilmington didnt pay either
