After one of the owners provided my mother (the owner of the house) with a rude and disinterested visit to provide an estimate for a repair to the roof, as well as an estimate for a complete re-roofing of a very large roof job, Rick LaReux did not email me the estimate as promised. He said he would email me the estimate by that evening or first thing the next morning. By Wednesday afternoon, I still had not heard anything, so I called the company and spoke with an individual who assured me that he or Rick would contact me that evening, even if it was nothing more than to tell me that I would have my estimate in the morning. It is now late Thursday morning and I have not heard a single word from the company. Unfortunately, this is not my first bad experience with the company. Every sales person that I have interacted with whether it be for a roof, gutters, or windows, have been rude and acted like they were doing me a favor by being there. Dan Fulmer company has become too big and has lost focus of its mission, to provide a service to its customers. This company not only lost a major roofing job but any future work on my homes and I will also be sure to tell about this experience to anyone in the Rochester area considering using them for work. My recommendation is to go down the street to J & J Construction. John, the owner, spent an hour with me going over options and gave me a very reasonable price. Update: Apparently, Dan Fulmer saw this and Rick emailed me. His email was appreciated along with his condescending remarks about how I was "jumping to conclusions" by not contacting them, even though I did. So, here I am updating the review, per his request. Customer service skills? Nil "I am forwarding my original emailed estimate to you from Monday 4/24. Apparently I sent it to the wrong address, as I was off by one number. I had not heard from you stating that you did not receive it yet. Normally if someone does not receive the quote, they contact me and make me aware, instead of jumping to conclusions. Apparently you wrote a bad review about your experience. Which is fine, if We purposely neglected to send you your estimate. It was a mistaken number in your email address that caused this situation. As I am doing the right thing, by correcting my error, I hope that you will do the same thing by correcting your review. Thanks in advance, Rick LaRuez Dan Fulmer Construction"

I had my roof replaced by the Dan Fulmer Company. It was a complete tear off so it was a huge job and a HUGE expense as well. When I looked into the company many people said they were the best. I am sorry I cant say this is true with the results I got. When I agreed to have them do the job they were right on top of everything as far as getting my money and for me to agree on using them to do the roof. Then about 9 months after the roof was done I noticed ice damning and as I was looking over the roof I found a hole on the corner of the roof were birds are flying into my attic. The plywood was not tight together leaving a hole and shorty after that a home for the birds. I then went up into the attic and looked at the soffit vents they installed (not on the original estimate by the way) and they never cut holes big enough to vent the roof. They cut holes about 2 inches wide. The holes not big enough is one thing but once they had cut the holes they never cleaned the insulation out of the way so even if they had cut them big enough no air could ever flow ! I called Dan Fulmer and asked to have someone contact me and set up a time to make my roof right. I had about 2 or 3 different people tell me they would call me back and they NEVER did. Finally about 4 weeks after my first call a guy called back and set up Tuesday the 25th of January to come inspect the problems. Guess what....they never showed ! They got my $8500 and once they did they could care less. I had a problem with their workmanship and nobody seemed to care. HANDS DOWN the worse customer service of any business I have ever done business with in my life. I will never do business with them again. I will also make sure that everyone I know and deal with at my business knows what type of company Dan Fulmer company is. VERY disappointed !

BEWARE! NOT RELIABLE. My husband (D.Pistner) hired Dan Fulmers company to fix/replace the front section of our roof because it was leaking. They promised to replace the whole section and put in a rubber shield underneath to prevent future leaks. Here it is, 5 years after they "fixed it" and that same part of our roof is leaking again - but in different places - because Dan Fulmers guys took short cuts and didnt put in enough flashing on the edge that we expected/assumed - the part that WAS LEAKING. Thanks for nothing Dan Fulmer. We contacted them to come back and fix it , which they grudgingly did - but it took 4 months because they kept trying to say it wasnt their fault, said it was the gutters - which it was not. They hadnt removed the siding to put the flashing up under it. So we finally got them to fixed it and thought it was all set, EXCEPT this year -now its the other side leaking - so apparently they didnt put in the flashing on the other side either. If you go with this company you have to WATCH them every second to be sure they do what they are supposed to - not take short cuts. We have to have our roof redone again as well as redo our inside ceiling and walls - AGAIN. Mr. Fulmer said hed like to see what he could do - my husband sent an email a week ago detailing the situation but he has not responded.

We had (1) picture window replaced that was 104" long with (3) Double Hung windows mulled together installed last week, and 1 other and separate Awning window in a different area of the home. All windows are Vista Panorama VWC-K1 07518-00002 windows. Triple Pane, Low-E, Argon, Super Spacer, Foam Filled Frames and Triple Fin Weather Stripping. The NFRC Performance Numbers are great. As far as Vista Window Co.... yes, I certainly would buy them again. They do make some very excellent vinyl windows, As far as Dan Fulmer Construction Co.... yes, I absolutely would buy from them again. They do some very good work and stand behind you all the way. The installation is just as important as the windows are, if not more so, and Dan Fulmer installs to perfection. And they have been in business since 1960. That means they are doing something right. Over 57 YEARS, same location. Awesome. Thanks, Jim, Mark, Tim and the Fulmer Team.

Dans crew is the worst bunch of trash I have ever encountered. The first day at my grandfathers house they were playing with a ball from the garage and kicked it against my grandfathers car. The second day they threw junk from the roof onto the bush and damaged it. Dan did not take responsibility for it and said it would grow back right, it never did. The third day a neighbor noticed one of the workers smoking a joint in their truck during their break. Work was poor and manners were poorer. I beg you to not do business with Dan Fulmer and to tell your friends has well
