Im a mother of a 5 year old little girl, who is princess in every way. She began showing interest in wanting to take ballet this past summer, so I went on the hunt for the perfect studio for her. There are so many wonderful studios in Wilmington, so I knew it would not be a simple decision. We were first introduced to The Wilmington School of Ballet by one of their summer princess camps. We were so impressed by the staff, and even the preteen assistants that assisted the camp director. The level of professionalism, dignity, and class that was exhibited during the week of the camp, answered our question of which dance studio to choose. Not to mention our daughter loved her time there, and had a blast at the camp! We were highly impressed, and look forward to our daughter being a part of this dignified dance studio that is The Wilmington School of Ballet!

The Wilmington School of Ballet is a wonderful place to bring your children! The staff is warm and friendly, and children are taught in a way that makes them comfortable and excited! It is a very nurturing environment but also trendy and modern. There are many different classes for everyone. My daughter wants to be apart of the Nutcracker so she is taking Choreography and also Hip Hop and Acero. I love how my daughters are comfortable because of how positive the teachers are about body image and everyone loving who they are! I have experienced many different schools and really love how the focus WSB is on dance and being healthy and having fun and not dressing sexy or dancing provocatively. Plus their Princess Camps are SUPER CUTE!!!

My daughter performed with the dancers from the Wilmington School of Ballet at Disney and all I can say is WOW!! She is a gymnast who has done a little bit of dancing. The teachers and dancers welcomed her and made her feel wonderful! They worked with her so she could dance in the super upbeat final number. She is now begging to take contemporary classes so she can continue to learn the new style of dance that she was introduced to for the show. Miss Elizabeth and Miss Emily were encouraging, positive and my daughter always left the rehearsals feeling good about what she had learned. We truly enjoyed working with these amazing teachers for the Disney show and definitely look forward to dancing with them in the future.

As a parent and teacher at the Wilmington School of Ballet, I have much to say about our great experiences at this dance studio. My daughter has enjoyed solid, classical ballet training with extremely knowledgeable and caring teachers, many outstanding performance opportunities, and options to stretch herself in classes other than ballet. As a teacher I have enjoyed a fun working environment that allows me to focus on each individual students dancing and development. We are happy to be at WSB!

I have had two girls at WSB for a total of 17 years. Each of them has developed good technique and stage presence, a love of dance and music and an appreciation for hard work! The teachers are kind but mindful of technique, form and give individual attention. From princess level and beyond the girls have enjoyed the recitals, performances, Nutcracker, summer intensives, visiting choreographers and teachers and the friends that they have made along the way.

I well run studio with a fabulous staff. My daughter came back to dance as a teenager. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The progress she has made because of the instruction is astounding. She dances nearly everyday there now and enjoys it tremendously. And I feel good knowing she is not only growing as a dancer, but also gaining wonderful life lessons through dance at this studio.

We love this place! My daughter has been dancing here for 6 years. She is interested in a classical approach to ballet and that is what she gets at the studio. I like a modest aesthetic and have a desire to see her perform in art pieces, which she gets ample opportunity to do. Weve had a great experience at Wilmington School of Ballet, the only classical dance conservatory in the area!

My daughter came to Wilmington School of ballet 3 years ago (she was starting the 10th grade) after moving from Charlotte NC. She was a student at first but has been given the opportunity to assist teaching and choreograph for different events. The Wilmington School of Ballet is a great place to take your little dancers. They have always had a great ballet program, and now they offer a larger variety of dance genres to choose from. The instructors are very talented and really know how to engage the children. As far as Im concerned, this is the best studio in town!!

My daughter has attended WSB for 8 years, since the age of 4. We love the classical focus and variety of classes to support that focus. The best Nutcracker for children of all ages. We look forward to this holiday classic each year! Lots of master classes and performing opportunities to elevate dancers stage presence.

I had the opportunity to watch all the folks of the school in action when I MCd the Nutcracker at CFCCs new stage. The cast was enormous and Elizabeth and her crew really showed they knew what they were doing. Look for more great performances out of these talented pros.
