What an amazing place to learn to dance! I have been coming to this studio for just under a year. Starting as a total beginner and now in Bronze 2, I cannot believe how much more confident I feel on the dance floor. To be fair, I dont have anything to compare to, as this is the only dance school I have tried, but I have no desire to branch out. The studio is always clean and bright, the staff and the instructors are professional, welcoming, knowledgeable and simply amazing! The classes are plenty, with the variety of levels, from the novice to the very advanced. The program is structured so that you are always taking classes at your level, so that you are challenged but not overwhelmed. The dance parties are great for working on your technique, getting used to switching between styles and partners (which is not always easy, especially at the beginning), and socializing. Last but not least, Arthur Murray has regular competitions (with several studios participating, local and not) where you could dance with your partner or your instructor and be judged and scored if that is your thing.. I was told it is good for you as it makes you work on the details but I never tried so cant add anything personal. All and all, if ( for whatever reason, be it your wedding dance or upcoming cruise or just because) you are looking for a dance lessons, definitely stop by. You wont regret it.

It will be three years this August since my wife and I started taking lessons at Arthur Murray, Ashburn VA. You will not find a better place to learn how to dance. We became fans of “Dancing with the Stars” and finally decided to take dance lessons. Neither of us had ever danced before unless you count jumping around in a club or swaying slowly together to a slow tune. The best thing about Arthur Murray is its organized approach to teaching dance. The syllabus is outstanding in that the step you learn in one dance can be slightly modified to fit another. In no time at all you feel confident to do the East Coast Swing, Cha-Cha, Rumba, etc. in public. We became hooked on dancing as a hobby when after about six months of lessons we decided to do a few basic Rumba steps on an empty dance floor at a bar in Chantilly. The people in the bar applauded, and we were hooked. No more sitting around at Company parties or in bars with a dance floor. Dance is great recreation for any married couple. The facility and instructors are first class and if you are single, the place to be is the practice party on Thursdays in Ashburn. Lots of ladies that just want to dance. Plenty of parking with oodles of restaurants close by.

My wife had been asking if we could start dance lessons for years. I finally agreed and Im glad I did!! Its actually been a lot of fun the past several months. We started as a Groupon and have signed up for a package of lessons. I would not consider it to be inexpensive, but I do think its a good value for the money as you get 6 private lessons in a package but you also can go to any beginner group classes and practice parties that you can find time for. We have been going on average 2 times per week and have really seen improvement in our dancing. The only thing that holds us back from being able to go more is my work schedule. So far, we have learned about 5 different dances. The instructors are super friendly and very supportive. The studio is bright and clean. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to try something fun with your partner or just give it try for something different!

Ive been taking lessons for the past six months and its been an amazing experience. I started out not knowing anything about dancing and now Im a more confident dancer. My early jitters and nervousness are gone and I look forward to the next class or lesson. The classes are also fun and help with progressing more in dancing. The schedule of whats being taught each night rotate so its never the same thing fromm week to week. Private lessons with your instructors are scheduled based on my availability and make for a more comfortable environment to ask questions and refine what youre working on. Now Im rambling. Go for it. Dancing is fun.

Arthur Murray Ashburn is an awesome dance studio! The atmosphere promotes a love of dancing along with a great social environment for getting to know new people in the community. Fellow students are encouraging and helpful, and all members of the staff are equally fun and professional. I enjoy that I am constantly challenged to grow as a dancer and a person at this studio. From someone discovering dance for the first time to seasoned dancers who want to develop their technique, I highly recommend Arthur Murray Ashburn for anyone who wants to dance.

I have been taking private instruction and going to group classes since August 2015. I am not graceful and have no natural ability to move my hips....which is very frustrating....but I keep working on it and have seen definite improvement over these months. I am very happy with the Ashburn studio. The instructors are wonderful and very talented. The management and staff are great and I always feel welcome. There are plenty of group classes offered for beginners...you could attend at least one class five or six days a week.

The instructors are very knowledgeable, and will help you achieve your dancing goals be it your first dance at your wedding, to be a stronger social dancer, or to compete against other Arthur Murray students at a local, national, or world level.
