I had Gywn vent my stove hoodrange outside. The hole was cut in my brick too big for the damper at the top. They solved this problem by placing insulation in the gap and smearing silicone over it. Jeff Vance did offer to come out and take a look at it but the only way to fix the problem is to make a frame for the damper to sit in so it would cover the gap. I had prepaid them for a spring-winter maintenance for which i simply asked to be reimbursed for since they havent done the work. They have refused to do that stating" they just dont refund money for those plans", even though no work has been performed. I called on Feb. 24th to try and talk to someone in an upper management position. The receptionist told me someone would call me on the 25th. A week went by with no phone call. I called back on March 3rd and talked to Jeff Clous. He assured me they wanted to keep me as a customer and would resolve the issue. He told me i would get a call the next day. He has yet to call me back. No surprise there. I dont know how other customers are treated but my experience with this company has not been 5 stars.

Customer service before the sale was good but since the installation I cant get a call back. System was installed in the spring and there was 3-4 visits after the installation cause the system would not cool due to over filling and under filling of freon. I called to have a tech come check the system when a alert showed up on my thermostat. I received an automated call and a text message saying the tech was on his way, 4 hours later no show. Then I received another automated call and text saying the tech was on his way. 30-45 minutes later tech showed up and said a valve went bad. It was Friday on a holiday weekend and said they would get a hold of me the following week after they contacted American Standard. The following Friday I called them cause they had never called me. The guy I had talked to said the tech never put down anything about the bad valve. He said he would look into it and call me the following week, its now Wednesday and I have not heard from the company and am tired of having to call to get service. Will not deal with them in the future.

Air Conditioner was making a terrible screeching noise. Our normal heating and air company told us it was a busted compressor and that the best option was to replace our entire heating and air system for a grand total of $7,000. Got in touch with Gwyn. The technician turned on the system and immediately explained that the blade had warped and that he could have it fixed by the end of the week when the part came in. After a very quick repair for $100, our system was perfect. Very professional and knowledgeable.

A previous company claimed for a year that my AC unit had a refriderate leak and recommended a new unit replacement- with the potential cost upwards of $6500. A friend recommended Gwyn for a second opinion. Im glad I did. The tech came out and had my unit working properly in about 10 min. After another year, no leak has been found. Thanks for the honest and intelligent work Gywn Electrical and especially to Chris- awesome tech.

The most disappointing experience of my life. The worst communication and on site performance i have ever had. I am a Duke Energy customer and i waited 10 days to have a water heater replaced, after repeated phone calls to both Duke and Gwyn. After three visits and leaks after the installation, they charged me $1200 for a 30 gallon water heater. One of the most disappointing experiences of my life with any contractor. daveg
