If i could give hayes realty no stars i would. Probably the most unorganized, unprofessional and uncooperative company Ive dealt with. Property managers never answer phone calls and surely never take care of problems in regards to properties. You can wait weeks and even months before anything ever gets resolved and then they make you feel like youre the problem. Also dont expect honesty either. The home i rented had flooded just the year before i moved in, when i asked why i needed flood insurance i was coaxed into believing it had been 50+ years since this property had flooded, i didnt find out the truth until the insurance agency informed me AFTER i had already been tricked into signing the lease. When i brought this fact to Hayes Realtys attention specifically our "property manager" she never apologized for LYING about the property. Also waited over a month to have electricity in half of my unit. Would continue to call and text but of course would never get any response. Unit had a fireplace that we were told was operating only to find out come winter season it was not functional and landlords had no plans to fix it. Owners of the house would show up and snoop through windows and property and when this was brought to Hayes Realtys attention they never spoke to the owners until i threatened to press trespassing charges. Lawn maintenance/snow removal promised at time of lease but the company was completely unreliable and Hayes Realty did nothing to correct the issue. Tried to blame pets on the reason why lawn company wasnt coming even though that was completely inaccurate. Dryer vent isnt up to code and will probably at some point in time cause a fire as the vent dumps into the attic where there are loose wires. Professional electrician and cable man both warned me the unit was an UNSAFE ELECTRICAL NIGHTMARE. And if that doesnt scare you away, the fact that they allowed a commercial lawn company to be ran out of the storage shed on the property (illegal to have commercial business ran out of residential unit anyways) without ever telling us prior to signing our lease. The lawn company that would conveniently never mow our lawn or plow snow, constantly showed up to load and unload loud equipment into storage shed at all hours of day, blocking our driveway and garage and waking us up at 7am with no notice or regard. The place was dirty and unsanitary when we moved in so much so I didnt even want to take my shoes off until i cleaned it myself. Place was cleaned thoroughly, better than how we received the unit, but no deposit was granted due to the personal conflict we had while living there with our "property manager". If youre considering renting with this company ... RUN! If youre considering allowing them to manage your property i assure you a toddler would be more worthy, and certainly SHAWNA BYERS "property manager" can never be trusted with any kind of responsibility or integrity. This lady is rude and immature. I never felt i could have a normal adult conversation with her. Brad Hayes should seriously consider getting rid of her in order to fix the quality of his company. Hope this saves anyone the grief we experienced as tenants.

Okay, so I do like my apartment, dont get me wrong. And the people are pretty nice. Overall I loooove my apartment. BUT I have been having trouble with a window in my apartment since the day I moved in. AGH its just frustrating. Okay, we have had maintenance done on this window probably 10 times between the leaks and the fact that it doesnt crank. However, we have been in the process of getting a complete new one BECAUSE IT DOESNT LOCK, which the maintenance guy knew, NO SCREEN, which Ive said in multiple messages that I have left, and we have to open and close it just by pushing it open and pushing it closed from the outside. OKAY, they let us know that the custom window was on backorder but that they would have someone there early LAST WEEK to fix our current window so that it would hold us over until it came in. WELL low and behold no calls. I called over the last weekend to leave a message saying that a screen would help. Then I called twice last week. Okay, they say that theyll call within 24 hours but they hardly ever do. I called finally this morning to FINALLY get an answer....Theyre supposed to call back but Im not holding my breath. All I want is a window that LOCKS, has a SCREEN, doesnt LEAK, and doesnt let bugs in. Our apartment is COVERED in bugs. Now, my legs are covered in bites. Spiders, mosquitos, beetles, and moths dead and alive everywhere. Last time I had this many bites I was a kid at camp and ended up in statcare getting medicine because one got infected. It isnt much to ask for. Its in our contract that it has to be habitable including no bugs and theyve essentially been breaking that for the last five months considering someone could come through my window and steal everything or even hurt me. THE PEOPLE ARE NICE. They are helpful.. just a little slower I guess. I really appreciate their help though. I pay my rent early every month and were pretty quiet. I hope to stay here even though Ive been frustrated because I do like the area my apartment is in. Trish is super nice considering Ive probably annoyed her to death. I think the maintenance guy and Hayes just need to communicate better because I dont know if they knew the extent of the problems with this window. Well, Im waiting to see if I get my deposit back because I am keeping the apartment spotless, its just that my manager hardly wrote anything on the move in sheet... there are a ton of holes in the wall and stains on the carpet (which we removed some) so I better not get charged for them.. blah. Oh also Shawna (our manager) is the nicest too. Trish and her are easy to communicate to (once you get ahold of them lol) Theyre probably just busy though. Overall.. I like them. I probably wouldnt want to deal with anyone but them after Ive read some reviews.

Would give 0 stars if possible. All I can say is this place is SO unprofessional!! I was interested in a house on Kling street (Hoping the landlord sees this). I called monday, got no answer so i left a detailed message of my name, number, the house, etc. No one ever called back. A few days later, I called maybe 3-4 times, no one even bothered answering the phone. A few days later, I had to call EIGHT TIMES just to get an answer (the squeaky wheel gets the oil, right? Wrong). FINALLY someone picks up, and what did they say? "Hello?" In a VERY annoyed and unprofessional voice. I had no idea if I even had the right number. A PROFESSIONAL greeting such as "Hello this is _________ speaking from Hayes Realty, how can I help you?" WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!!! Worse than that, the woman on the phone could not be more rude and eager to get off the phone with me. She was very uninterested in the questions I had, kept interrupting me to end the conversation, and almost hung up without taking my name or phone number!!! On top of that, its been over a week and no one has called me back. My friends have even called several times with no avail. How can a company be successful if they refuse to answer callls from potential clients/buyers?! I feel bad for the landlord, because that house couldve been easily rented out to me and some friends had someone answered the damn phone and offered to set up a time to go see the house. Now the landlord looses that opportunity from us, because we found a house where the realtor was very helpful, kind, and quick to respond. I also find it EXTREMELY unprofessional that the employees are getting on here and leaving 5 star reviews while blaming the client and saying that they "cater to the requests of the landlord" - essentially not taking blame for the HORRIBLE company that they are. I will NEVER even CONSIDER renting through them, Ill also make sure anyone I know does not rent through them. I recommend that anyone who has had a similar or poor experience with Hayes Realty take it to the Better Business Bureau - if you cant answer a damn phone, dont run a business. The people paying you to do your job (Landlords) are losing money!!!
