I always feel terrible saying this but Cincinnati has a serious lack of great soul food restaurants. There are a few good soul food spots but theyre usually a part of some chain, and are limited to 1 or 2 good entrees, with more focus on their booze selection than the actual food. All In One Occasions is just the opposite. The food is as "down home" as can be. Im talking paper menus, plasticware, and styrophoam take out boxes for plates type of down home. The menus are on paper but filled with great entree choices like baked chicken, fried tilapia, fried whiting, fried pork chop (one of the biggest and best Ive ever had), and chicken wings. With each entree you receive 2 killer sides such as Mac and cheese, greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, or fries. You can get a sampler with a combination of fish and wings. We had the sampler and the pork chop dinner. The pork chop gave me flashbacks of watching my Mother hand breading, seasoning, and then frying pork chops in a cast iron skillet. It was seasoned and fried to perfection! The wings and fish had the same balance of spices and each bite was a treat. When you first pull up, you might have the impression that its just a small Mom & Pop carry-out business but it has at least 5 booths and a couple of tables for dining in. We were comfortable sitting in a booth with room enough for 5 average size people. The staff was polite, friendly, and attentive. They recommended entrees and desserts. The banana pudding and lemon cake were big winners. Overall this is a great little soul food dive. Im looking forward to visiting it again soon.
