I have a 1991 Acura Legend and a few weeks ago it begin to overheat. Now I have only gone to Tuffy for brake services or oil changes at most a couple times and I have always knew they were ripping me off deep down inside, lets just say its a womans intuition and my service bill each time I picked my car up. Every time I took my car in there they would try and offer me addition services but I would just politely say no thank you but as I got to thinking. Every time another problem costing twice as much would suddenly appear out of thin air. It seems if I cant get break every time I would go there, the guy the front counter, I think his name is Mark (Manager) tries to act as if hes helping you out & trying to get you affordable auto service when hes ripping you off!!! Back to my car overheating, so Im not sure whats the problem and dont want to drive my car more than fifteen minutes because that when the car starts to overheat. Tuffy is right up the street and something just told me that if I take my car up there to at least get a diagnostic, theyre going to try and charge me some ridiculous price to fix my car. So against my better judgment, I drop my car off for them to take a look at my car and a few hours later I receive a call asking if I want them to repair the car and. After what he said I decide it would be best to take my car elsewhere! He basically told me that I need a new radiator, gasket & t-stat (which I explained to him I had replace two days before but I still needed a new t-stat) and a list of a million other things that totaled out to be almost $3000!!! Thats not it he also said that I might have engine damage from driving the car to Tuffy (by the way once it overheated once I stopped driving the car) so after $3000 that might not fix the problem but he assured me he would find the problem & fix it for an additional cost. To top it off & hit you when you’re already low, he offers me a low interest credit card to cover the repairs. Go 2 Spradlin!!! All they had to replace was my radiator cap, reservior hose and bleed air from my cooling system, $94 bucks! Cant beat honest people!

I have been taking my vehicles to Bob at Tuffy for more than 10 years. I have always received superb service from Bob, Jeff and all of the staff. One of my most recent encounters with Tuffy was after I purchased a 2012 Mailibu. Within a year I was having obnoxious loud ticking noises that were so embarrassing and should not have been occurring, especially with a new vehicle. I decided to take my car to the dealership where I purchased the car and after much frustration with Jake Sweeney, who could not determine the issue, I took my vehicle to Bob and his crew. To my amazement, they had found and resolved the issue within 5 minutes. This was a very simple issue with a pipe being too tightly hung, but Jake Sweeney could not find this even after three visits, several mechanics and a foreman all taking a look. Kudos to Bob, Jeff and the rest of the crew. I will continue to patronize your establishment for many, many, years to come and have received nothing but the best experience and service from your Tuffy. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

I have been bringing automobiles to shops for 45 years and nothing I have ever experienced tops the service this shop gave me. First I just moved into the area from Florida and needed tires. I went to the shop late on a Friday. They had to order my tires. There was no delivery available to the shop on Saturday but Bob the owner offered to pick up the tires himself and dropped me at my apartment and picked me up when the tires were installed. It didnt end there. Today they not only went the extra mile for me but at least 25 miles. I had a blow out on the highway and no way to change the tire. Sylvan looked into sending a tow truck for me but they would have taken 2 hours to get to me. Sylvan and Barry jumped into a truck and came and changed the tire for me and made sure I was safe. I can not say enough about how kindly and professionally this shop has treated me. I may be in a new place but Ive found my mechanics

I first had my car repaired at this location a number of years ago, and would now not even think of going any where else. I have been back for a range of issues from routine maintenance/oil changes to some pretty major repairs. Every time that I went there I felt they were very frank in letting me know not only what was currently wrong and what it would take to fix it, but also good advise on what type of preventative actions I could take. As opposed to some other shops I had visited in the past I didnt feel pressured (or in the case of one shop whose name I wont mention feel threatened) to get work done less the car should fall to pieces promptly upon leaving the parking lot. Instead I was met with realistic scenarios and options on how to get my car back in pristine condition in a way that let me feel that I was actually an active participant in deciding the best course of action. The second snowstorm of this winter my brakes went out on me going home from work. The pedal all the way to the floor. No brakes at all! I had my car towed to Tuffys on Fields Ertel because a friend of mine told me how they would take care of me at a good price. They could have taken advantage of me since I had my car towed to them and was stuck there. But they really did a good job and saved me money! They stayed after they should have went home since they knew I needed my car and had no way home. They explained everything to me in a way I didnt feel like they were talking down to me since I am a woman. I really liked the service and will continue to go to them if I need anything else. I will also tell my friends that need anything done to go there also. Just like my friend helped me out letting me know about them from the start. It is really nice to find someone close to home you can trust!

Not only did the fine gentlemen of Tuffys repair my car, the took their time to explain to me exactly what was necessary, how they planned to approach the repairs, and worked with on the pricing with such utter compassion and professionalism that I have complete confidence in work and service. When it became apparent that I would need to leave my car for a few hours, they offered to drive me to work and pick up since I was nearby and they had the time to do so. I was very taken with their courtesy and their knowledge of the area as well, If youre looking for a shop that offers an idyllic experience, Tuffys is the place I would recommend without hesitation!
