I had my deck painted this summer, with the job led by Dan DiCillo. First, from the moment Dan came to my home to do the estimate - he was professional and thorough. From politely introducing himself and his peers, to taking off his shoes upon entering my home, to talking through what College Works had to offer, to quoting the job and finally, to providing an estimate; he spent over 2 hours to be certain he was understanding my needs as a customer, and providing the best options. I was extremely impressed! I knew that there was no one who could do the job better - and I hired him on the spot. He came to powerwash the deck to prep, and he had additional recommendations to make sure the job was done right and to my liking - this was something I greatly appreciated because had I not known, I would not have been as thrilled with the outcome. Again, after going over his recommendations, I immediately agreed and we chose a color/stain. He allowed me to replace some boards that had been rotting and worked around my schedule. The job took less than 2 days, and I was home and watching the care that was put into every stroke. They stayed late to put an additional coat on and it turned out AMAZING. I was unsure about the color to choose and Dan steered me in the right direction and again, was spot on because it is a rich mahogany that added years and life to what was already there! I have my sons birthday party this weekend and cant wait for people to see the deck! It literally looks brand new - and was a lot more cost effective that re-doing it entirely. This experience truly exceeded my expectations. I would recommend College Works to anyone and everyone - specifically Dan. His style and expertise on the products put him a cut above (and I had multiple estimates from multiple companies) and truly was the reason I went with them over others. Thank you Dan - you have one (and I am sure MANY, MANY MORE) happy customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could not be happier with Noah Stone and College Works Painting. I was contacted by Noah about having my house painted this past summer. Noah came to the house in the spring, explained the service they would provide and the materials they would use, and answered all of my questions. He was professional, articulate, helpful and knowledgeable about all aspects of the business. I contracted with him to paint the brick on my house (which had been previously painted years ago), and put down a deposit. Noah kept in touch and scheduled a work date with me well in advance, and then he followed up and showed up as planned. He was always on the job early in the morning, and worked hard all day. I was so impressed with Noah Stone and College Works Painting. Unlike many service providers, he was prompt, responsive, and most importantly, he did a wonderful job painting my house. When the paint store gave him a paint color that was not exactly what I wanted, he worked with them until the PERFECT color was obtained, which required him to go above and beyond what many others would do. My house looks amazing !!! I would hire Noah Stone again in a heartbeat. His work ethic, competence and professionalism were top notch. Add to that the fact that working with College Works Painting gives a young student a decent summer income and invaluable work experience running their own business, and its such a great feeling knowing that youre supporting them in a small way.... Wonderful all the way around. Thanks Noah ! Jeri Ricketts

During my Junior year of college I came to the reality that the job market is terrible and "real" internships are very hard to come by. Fall of 2012 I was approached by a DM of College Works. After a 6 step interview process I accepted an opportunity to run my own business. My intern year I ran a $50,000 business and had the best experience of my entire life. Throughout the year I met with over 100 homeowners, conducted over 20 employee interviews, managed 10 employees and had 35 clients. I was responsible for designing and implementing marketing plans, learning how to sell myself to homeowners and managing 3 different crews. After the internship I posted my resume online and had employers calling ME within hours, asking to meet with me for an interview. As a Senior Finance major at OSU I have realized that communication is THE most important skill to have in the business world. Before the internship I was always the shy kid and never learned how to get out of my comfort zone. College Works has taught me how to manage people and communicate on a much higher level than your average college student. I learned more in those 7 months than Ive learned in the past 21 years of my life.

My husband and I had College Works give an estimate on priming, scraping and painting our long overdue house. We were not sure what we could afford but we did get a few estimates. Some were much higher than College Works and 1 or 2 were the same or a hair less. Douglas Wells sold himself. He was professional, kind, hard working and we fell in love with him. So we took a chance. When you dont have a lot of money to play with you really have to be careful. It just seemed right. Douglas and Pete came on time, actually a little early. Started immediately after we went through everything we wanted one more time. They worked and cleaned everyday and when finished again went through the entire house again and there were a few things that I made a mistake on and few things we just wanted gone over. Douglas repainted the whole section that was our mistake and fixed anything we thought needed gone over without hesitation or even a sigh. Our house looks amazing and we couldnt be happier with Douglas and College Works. Lisa and Ken Duncan

On 21 May 2013, Anne Weigand brought her student team of painters to our home as planned to paint 12 shutters, 1 set of wooden doors on an outside shed and 4 steel doors on our home. All had been previously power-washed by a member on her team who also power washed the siding on our home, garage and shed. These students were very efficient, conscientious and pleasant to work with and Anne an excellent team leader. They did a good job on prepping, painting and clean up. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who needs assistance in maintaining the upkeep on their home when it comes to painting projects to keep their home looking good. I would highly recommend Anne the gal you need to approach as she is pleasant, thorough, efficient and sees to it that her team is doing a professional job. She took her Project Manager job seriously, thankfully. May God B less Anne and these students as they are hard working and leaders for our American future.

It is our pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Royce Louden. From the moment we met Royce he was professional and friendly. As we continued to work with him, from the bidding process to the completion of our job, we found him to be dependable, responsible and very concerned that we were satisfied with the work that was being done on our home. We were able to observe Royce interacting with his crew and were impressed with his leadership skills. He was able to direct his workers and keep them on task. He did so with authority, but also with encouragement and praise when appropriate. During the time that Royce and his crew were working at our house, they were always on time. They worked a full day. They cleaned up after themselves. They stored their tools and equipment neatly in space we had designated for them. We would not hesitate to work with Royce in the future. We would recommend him without reservation.
