I purchased a 2009 4x4 Dodge Ram at the beginning of April to replace my 99 model. I went to Norris Northup Dodge because of their supposed reputation as a reputable 5 star dealership that "has to earn their stars." While test driving, the truck began to misfire and the check engine light came on. After inspection by the service department, the salesman assured me that it needed a "sensor" and everything would be repaired to perfect working order. So I believed this, signed and drove off in the biggest mistake Ive made in 12 years of driving. Two weeks passed with no communication, and the trucks condition begins to rapidly deteriorate. I informed the salesman of the unreliable and unsafe condition, coupled with the flashing service engine light that, according the the manual, signifies the vehicle should be parked immediately. This inspired them to schedule me, and two weeks later my truck arrives there to be serviced. The salesman said they would provide a loaner vehicle, which they did, and two days later I pick up my truck. That day I asked the salesman to provide me with some record of the service performed. He said he couldnt, due to the service department being closed, but he would when they returned the following week. I waited a week before inquiring once again. Still havent received any record, but recently learned there was much more replaced than what I was made aware of. The vehicle seemed to run normally for a couple months, then the same symptoms returned to a worse degree around a month ago. Im directed to the service manager, who has me bring the truck in where it is diagnosed and parked for two and a half weeks before they have the parts and capacity to perform the work. No vehicle was offered to me this time, and no indication that I would be without a vehicle for so long. Since my truck has been in their possession, Ive been contacted once (the first day it was there) and was told it would take the better part of the week to work on due to scheduling. Two more weeks passed without communication until I drove there to personally inquire of my trucks status. Im told they are beginning the work in two more days when they have the man power. Today makes three days since they told me they started working on it, and three weeks of me not having a truck to commute and make a living with. Not including the time it was there the first attempted repair. I needed a newer dependable vehicle to safely haul my family around and get me to work, and this has been anything but my experience. Nearly a quarter of the time Ive owned and paid for this truck, it has been sitting back at the dealership, trying to be repaired to the condition I would have expected a seven year old truck coming off their lot to be in. Its like nobody drove or inspected it at all before slapping on some armor-all and parking it on the lot. Not at all what I expected. Ive driven it around 7000 miles and its time for new tires, which is acceptable, but I also had to replace the rotors, pads and calipers on the front due to them being in such terrible condition the caliper actually failed and I lost my brakes. While the service manager drove and diagnosed the truck this time, he noted theres also a problem in the rear end and also an exhaust leak in the manifold. I decided to invest in this newer vehicle from Norris Northup to provide peace of mind knowing that I was driving a dependable vehicle that I wouldnt constantly have to work with and spend money on. It has caused me nothing but stress and lost time since its purchase. The communication and transparency at this dealership has really disappointed me, as well as their lack of concern and responsibility for selling me a vehicle that I am less than proud to say that I bought from them.

Hey i am an employee at Norris Northup Dodge and I can say without question we do not want to mislead in our advertising the simple truth is we are not the ones who come up with those mail pieces (winning tickets) as described in a previous post and it does have "Fine print " but the winners are out there so if you get one bring it in just dont have your expectations to high average prize I would say is like 5 bucks thats not official just my own observation but we do mail out a 20k winner its just one out of about 50k mailed and we get less than a percent show up and we are insured if you come in to have a good time you will 100 percent sure if you come in just to win the grand prize you have a 1:;50000 shot roughly Update a nice couple from point pleasant just won a riding mower ask the manager of the dollar store up by the high school ;) it was him so there are other prizes and ways to win and besides its about the car deals we have superb financing available for all credit types so dont throw those adds away come have a cold pop and a hot dog on us and check out the largest inventory in the area to take advantage of the savings in the add just bring it with you

DISHONEST This dealership uses dishonest and misleading tactics to attract new customers. They recently sent a scratch and win mailer showing that we had won a 60" TV. The way the mailer was worded was very confusion. It led us to believe we had won the TV. Naturally, we were very skeptical that it was true. But nothing on the mailer—including all of the fine print led us to believe otherwise. Nowhere did it state that the scratch and win portion of the mailer was just for "fun" and didnt mean anything. We took our "winning" game piece to the dealership as instructed by the mailer to claim the prize and it turned out to be a hoax. Apparently, so were the several other people who happened to be there at the same time we were. Many of them were also very annoyed about their deception. Of course, they also took the mailer so nobody could use it as evidence against them. Something was definitely fishy about this place. If this dealership isnt honest and transparent in their advertising, how could you even think of buying a car from them? Theyll probably sell you lemon. Watch out for this place!

Usual car dealer lot. They trick you in with flyers in the mail that leave out the most important information and then break the promises the flyers make with crappy excuses. The people seem nice but like most lots its hard to tell how much they actually mean it versus the just trying to sell a car.
