Theres something not quite right about this company. I was interviewed & hired by the owner, Stella Moga. She came off as a very narcissistic woman who was more interested in self promotion than interviewing. If the economy wasnt so bad I would have been out of there as soon as she motioned me to sit in a tiny chair at her feet, instead of the same type of seat she sat in! But the social scientist in me chose to see how this played out . . . I found the staff at the center to be very nice & helpful on my first day, but at the same time, it was almost like they had this reverence for "Mrs. Moga". It was as though no decision could be made without thinking how "Mrs. Moga" would like it. Remember the movie the Stepford Wives? It was kind of like that with the staff! I didnt have to worry too long however, since "Mrs. Moga" had her director call me the next day to dismiss me, on the basis of the owner feeling I hadnt been "forthright" with her! It was so bizarre, but sadly, not surprising. I chalked it up to Stella not being comfortable with confident people with independent thoughts. What I witnessed at the center was general good care of the children, but I wouldnt say they went much beyond what the state requires of licensed centers. For as much as Stella bragged about the perfect inspections of her centers, I would say shes unaware of the instances of non-compliance I witnessed. Le Chaperon Rouge has its share of staff turnover, but you will only be told of the employees with longevity. There are also posts & reviews from unsatisfied past clients. If you are considering Le Chaperon Rouge, be sure to double check the services they market (ie only "fresh" fruit at meals), as well as the extracurriculars offered. You may find youre not getting what you think youre paying for. If you do have an unsatisfying experience, dont expect appropriate customer service from them, especially if you contact the corporate office. When I called, I was professional, but firm, & the male employee hung up on me! He was very arrogant & unprofessional when confronted. Apparently Stella & her gang cant handle it when the negative aspects of their operation are exposed & choose to approach it with denial & arrogance.

I live in Hudson and I had sent my son to this facility when he was 3 (a few years ago). I never wrote a review, but I recently saw an ad in the paper for them and it just made me think about finally taking the time to write one. While my son was there, I got a call from the "director" saying that I needed to get my son because he was laying down saying he cant move his arms and legs. Feeling very panicked, I started to ask questions as I was on my way....the "director" who was a younger woman more interested in how she looked, started to giggle and laugh on the phone and say "Im sure its nothing...maybe growing pains" and kept giggling. I was MAD at the way she was on the phone. When I got there, he was drowsy acting and could not move very well. I took him to emergency room and over the next few hours seemed to come around and docs had no idea why he might have been like that. I called and talked to owner and complained about the "director"...all she did was stick up for her and ignored what happened. My child was of no concern to her. I went to have a meeting with the owner and director and was ambushed by both of them...apparently the "director" came up with all sort of lies about me to save her job....when I questioned owner as to the reasons my son may have been like that....she was more concerned that I dont mention anything negative about her place and threatened me that she would call the police because she did not like that I was suggesting that something happened in her facility. I left and would NEVER let any friend or family member of mine EVER step foot in one of the Chaperone Rouges. Be very aware of a lady who is very business minded taking care of your children. Guess what comes first!

Being a parent at Le Chaperon Rouge for the last 10 months I have been very happy with the care my daughter has received. The reason I choose LCR was their attention to nutrition and their weather policy being from San Diego. I was impressed with the indoor play area that my toddler would enjoy. The Director at the Hudson location was easy to talk with when I first visited and since then has addressed every question or concern I have had. I have full confidence that every day my toddler is enjoying a well balanced meal with a variety of options that will expand her palette. I appreciate that sugar intake is low. The educational aspects at LCR is what will keep us here long term. I have full confidence that as my toddler advances up in the school she will continue to learn age appropriate things. I love discovering at the end of the day what she has learned because she will sing me songs, point out new animals, identify letters and numbers. All because of her wonderful teachers. I just recently referred one of my friends to LCR and will continue to support the school in every way possible. Each day when I pick up my toddler I appreciate the cleanliness of her room and that she wants to wash her hands before we leave! That shows me that her teachers are not only teaching her about personal hygiene but demonstrating it to her.

My son has been at LCR for over 4 years. Hudson location is a safe and fun place, they provide great care to my kid. I will recommend LCR to all parents who is looking for day care facility. Communication is great between the teacher, office manager and parents via email and phone. We will continue choosing LCR when he is in school for "Before and After" program.

So happy and relieved to have our daughters at Le Chaperon. I know they are getting the best education they can before starting elementary school.
