took laptop in- gaming laptop for slow performance, wifi off,and speaker issue after windows ten update.Informed them I was looking for new router,and some other peripherals,and also a back up laptop. They collected my approx fifty bucks and said they would call in a few days to let me know what was going on. No explanation of what they were going to do, and only spent a few minutes showing me some things in the store without asking any questions as far as what problem i was trying to solve. Three days later- no word.. I called- they said to revert back to windows seven, nothing was fixed, speed could be improved with a solid state drive for 150.00 give or take. I brought the computer home, spent three plus hours.. now wifi radio is back on, speakers work again and windows ten performs flawlessly, with some extra adjustments it is also faster than its been in a long time. I contacted the company TWICE by email for the gm or owner to call me. Only response was one vm from the store-- person didnt even identify themselves. I will never go back there, ever, never ever. After i fixed my own computer, i purchased lots from amazon- the sales computer discount could have had. There is a computer repair shop on conant- just down the street, and one on dussel, just around the corner- check those out.- do yourself a favor-- I gave them a chance to have a conversation and was ignored. oh, if the owner gets on and says its a fake review..this is reference to their invoice number 2219, and a now regrettable charge to my bank account. Never again.

The reviews are right! the service guy over the phone mislead me saying he buys new or used good 1 to 2 years of making it. So i gave him items, took none of them told me to go to craiglist. The only take moniters and full running computers. So i gave him a over 400 dollar laptop. He told me the offer would be much higher if i gave him a external disc drive. Gave him 2, 50 dollar ones. I expected. 180-300 price range. They have to make money. And that 50 percent cut on my items is 259, so i expected about that amount or a bit higher or lower depending on the store, i was going to buy a desktop computer for my friend...he told me the offer a day after i took it in when they closed. 65 bucks in cash. I didnt know what to say, i was shocked. I did the math, maybe 12% is what they offered me. What scares me is that the two disc drive drastically raised the price in his own words. What the hell is the 418 dollar laptop worth 20? Mislead me to think i could sell my item, mislead me about his reasonable offer. 100 in store credit. and their 99 dollar desktops which he admitted werent good, sold out. So yeah, getting my laptop tommorow and never going here again. >_<

Experience Yourself - This place has been around since our family moved into Maumee more than 15 years ago. We have been using this store for all our computer needs and never had any issues or problems with the service we received. I am not sure what other people are talking about here. Are these even real reviews or maybe their competitors are trying to make them look bad? If they are indeed as bad as the reviews said, which I highly doubt, I dont see how they can be in business for so long and have so many stores around town. Computer Discount has also been taking good care of all the referrals I have sent to. Never any complaints from my friends and family when they went there. I stand by them!

I have been a loyal customer of Computer Discount Maumee for a very long time and they have always went out of there way to help me and my questions. I am not sure about some of these comments but I just recently had a virus removed from my pc and they charged way less than Best Buy and I didnt loose any data. The one comment that made me write this review was the guy who says dont buy local. You Sir are the reason why every street corner has a Wal-Mart and our economy is not doing good. Always Buy Local when you can.

Spent over 100 to have my laptop serviced before going out of town on business. Within the day, the laptop started doing the exact same things that made me bring it to Computer Discount in the first place. It was riddled with viruses that I paid to have them remove and the anti-virus soft wear they sold me didnt work either. By the time I got back in to town (4days later) and asked them to fix it right - they said it was late, their guarantee expires in just 2 days! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

I took my lap top in because it was running slow and had malware. I found the employees helpful and polite. I was advised of the charges They charged me exactly what they said they would and had it done promptly. I would recommend them to friends and family. I would stay away from big box stores. I never had any luck with them even when I got thier extended warranty.
