Fantastic experience. Lady and I were headed to Texas Roadhouse and we were immediately put-off by how insane the parking lot was. We were about ready to give up out of frustration and head home for leftovers when we spotted City Barbeque across the street. Very happy that we did. The cashier took one look at us and asked if it was our first time there, lol. Apparently we had a deer in headlights kind of expression on our faces as we entered. Should we wait to be seated, order at the counter and seat ourselves, will they bring the food to us or call out the order? Luckily, the cashier knew her job well and set us up patiently while we took our time deciding. She eve n asked us if we would like an explanation of the menu since it was our first visit. We accepted and she fired off the whole thing barney style in 30 seconds and we were good to go. Young lady working the register around 6pm 4/8/15 was very professional and friendly. Yall should give her a raise. Did I mention that the food was delicious and arrived quickly? Everything was juicy and tasted fresh. A HUGE deal with me. Dry, heat lamped BBQ will kill any positive experience for me in a second. Wasnt a problem at City. Going to make it a regular haunt of mine. Will be returning this weekend for Dad night with my two sons.

You know you are in for real BBQ when you are wrapped in the sweet smell of smoke the moment you enter the front doors. Fairly roomy as City BBQs go, this location sits just off the freeway with easy parking amd quick access back onto 37. Great if you want to stop and get some awesome food and then get back on your way. The full menu is available here with their legendary smoked meats. I would suggest a favorite but that would just entail listing all the meats. The sides are great and you can tell are made there in the restaurant. I drop in at this location for lunch somewhat regularly and Im never disappointed. Sign up for the City Rewards app to get rebates on your meals. Double-points on Mondays!

Upon entering the restaurant, there was a tweeker outside freaking out and growling at customers. He was drinking a beer outside of the fence (which is illegal under Ohio law), wildly walking in-and-out of the establishment, and causing discomfort amongst those who were there. Despite the fact that he clearly needed to leave, employees continued to sell him alcohol (which was outrageous) and did nothing to settle him down. Im disappointed that no one working took the necessary action to make customers feel comfortable. I was on edge the whole dinner because I thought the individual was about to snap and do something dangerous.

Food was delicious, but even better was how the staff treated us- A+. This was probably the best customer service Ive seen anywhere at at a restaurant. We were able to sample the brisket, given free drinks for our first time at a City Barbeque, and witnessed one of the workers bring out a new dish of food to another customer not because the customer requested it, but because the worker tried the same item and thought it was too dry so she voluntarily brought the customer a new one and one to go. Impressed. Would recommend this place.

If you are a meat-eater you are all set for this good-tasting BBQ pork, chicken and beef. Meats are freshly cooked and the service is quick and attentive. Their sweet tea is one of the best around and should adorn every meal. Sides are good and fresh as the main courses. Portions are also well sized, larger than one would initially think. My family always enjoys a meal here.

I gave it a 5 star only because we got to see an ole friend from another restaurant, Mary. She now lives in the area, and we just happened to find her again. City BBQ is okay. But moving here from Texas, BBQ is something we take serious. Ive had better. But now better is pretty far away. But we will return.

The first time I visited, the staff was awesome. Encouraged me to try samples of their food, seemed knowledgeable, and were very friendly. Ive been back each time Ive visited the area. Everything Ive tried there has been tasty, but for my money, you cant beat the beef brisket sandwich.

Every thing is good here. Many side dishes to choose from all of which are good. The deserts are all good though not numerous. The French fries are excellant. All of the barbecue sauces are good. The meats are never dry and always tender. I have never been disappointed. .

I like stopping here when Im in the area.I enjoy the pulled pork and all of the sides.Its really hard to decide which ones to get.The ribs are also excellent,falling off the bone.The prices are not bad either.

Absolutely awesome ribs aes!nd brisket. The bark is smoky and not burnt hard as rock. The sweet city sauce is great, the spicy stuff is good for the adventurous. Will be going back, oh yes!

We enjoy eating here. Lots of variety and a good selection in their Sampler. They have fun specialty sodas. I recommend the banana pudding, if you still have room!
