I am disappointed with Affordable Catering. I had high hopes as the whole process leading up to my wedding was easy, professional, and the price was very good. First, the pros: The staff on the day of was very nice. They set up and broke down quickly. The display was beautiful. They did a very nice job of cutting and serving the cake. One server that mistakenly told my guests she was serving bacon covered scallops instead of pineapple, but aside from some confusion or maybe avoidance due to dislike or allergy of seafood, it wasnt THAT big of a deal. I heard the appetizers were good and the beverage service was good. We didnt have alcohol because we were at a county park. I hosted a picnic lunch wedding with a few appetizers and additional sodas and bottled water. The cons: The main food..the hot dogs, hamburgers, sides, etc. Not one person out of my 63 guests liked any of it. I heard "cold", "burnt", "hard as a rock", etc. This wasnt just one burger snob complaining. Not one guest enjoyed the food. I only ate a few bites of a burger without a bun and a few bites of potato salad. I wasnt feeling well and I was stressed out over another vendor that gave me a lot of problems, but the little bit I did eat wasn’t what I had expected or been looking forward to. Im not sure what went wrong with just a simple hamburger and hot dog menu, but it did and I was not satisfied. I waited until the Tuesday after our Saturday wedding to write an email to let them know and asked to be reimbursed at least a little something for the fact the main food was terrible. I even made sure I praised them for the things that DID go right. I was trying to be reasonable. All I received was excuses; blame for me not saying anything the day of (um …What could they do at that point - unburn the burgers? Besides - I was upset enough as it was and didnt want to deal with anything else on OUR WEDDING DAY! I waited until Tuesday simply because we went out of town for the weekend. Just because I wanted to enjoy our honeymoon doesn’t mean I wasn’t upset anymore! I didn’t know my complaint would only be valid if posed when they thought it was appropriate.)Then I was told that people ate it so I was really out of luck. Of course people ate it-they were hungry by 2PM and would have eaten rocks if they had to! Doesnt make it right! Some of the blame can be placed on my other vendor for not communicating when the food was ready, but at the end of the day, Affordable Catering was responsible for the food and should have done whatever possible to ensure it was tasty, served on time, and at the appropriate temperature etc. regardless of what the other guy was slacking on. This didn’t happen. I was told owners would be informed. Not a peep from them since, but now that I read some of the owner responses to negative online reviews (Yelp), I don’t expect anything else but more excuses and blaming, and berating after I post this. 

I have used Affordable Catering several times in the past and have always been very pleased with their quality of food and professionalism. I was not disappointed when I recently used them for my sisters baby shower. We went with an English tea menu with a couple of additions. The food was excellent and all the guests raved about it, especially the homemade quiche and hot crab dip! I also loved the raspberry tea! We had a buffet style with one server and tons of food left over! We brought the rest of the food back to my sisters and she had plenty for another party! Let me add we were recommended to get a server and I am so thankful we did. It is well worth the extra money. Cynthia was great and it was nice not having to worry about whether or not we needed more drinks or if everyone had food. She also helped us clean up as we had to be out of the clubhouse by a certain time. Everything went very smoothly. This was the first time I threw a shower where I wasnt stressed the entire time! They also provided us the china and linens that color coordinated with our theme which really made it extra special. I would highly recommend Affordable Catering to anyone and definitely plan to use them in the future.

I am so glad we made the decision to use Affordable Catering for our wedding reception. All of the food was absolutely delicious, we received so many compliments from our guests! The Santorini feta chicken and the sour cream and dill potatoes were so flavorful and yummy. The green beans were a little undercooked, but they tasted good nonetheless. The crew showed up early and had everything set-up with plenty of time to spare, in addition to helping out with some last-minute needs. I worked with Stephanie to go over all the initial details, and she was extremely helpful and patient with all of my questions :) Lia was our day-of coordinator and I just dont know what I would have done without her. She literally saved the day, a few different times!! I think my mom must have hugged her at least 10 times by the end of the night. She was professional, attentive, thoughtful and as sweet as they come. In the midst of a few crises, Lia took charge and made sure I never felt overwhelmed or knew too much :) She made sure my husband and I each had a full plate of dinner waiting at our table, in addition to making us a plate of the hors doeuvres. She is a true gem.

Great Catering Experience. Affordable Catering was a delight to use from the first phone call until the last leftover was boxed up. They helped us choose the menu that was right for our party & within our budget without tacking on extra fees later. Our server, Claudio, arrived early to set up a stunning buffet station that was more beautiful than anything I could do, & then kept it looking beautiful as he served food thoughout the party. Our guests loved the food, especially the hot crab dip & the meatballs, & there was more than enough for everyone. Claudio also jumped in & helped clear plates, emptied garbage & chipped in any time he saw something that should be done, so that we got to feel like guests at our own party. He even helped me pack away the leftovers & then left the room that wed served the food in so clean that youd never have guessed that wed served 50 people there. Well definitely use Affordable Catering & Claudio again for our next party & wish wed had them for all the ones previous.

My husband and I are so thankful for the amazing service and the delicious food catered during our wedding in April of this year! The server was wonderful; he was not only on time, but he also set up the food and coffee/tea stations- everything- on time as well! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have their wedding or large even catered. Our wedding had sixty+ guests, including my husband and I, and we only ordered food from the appetizer menu on the company website and we had plenty left over for take home boxes! The food is great, the caterers are generous about the amount of food for the price (which is awesome since they also provide their own stations, linens, plates, cups, and utensils) and the staff who helped us to reserve the date were polite and kept in constant contact. Thank you Affordable Catering Company, for helping to make our wedding run smoothly and for feeding all of our guests with the delicious food provided! -Mrs. Woods
