THE GOOD: - Staff was excellent throughout planning process - very responsive to all inquiries, fun, engaged - never once did I stress about the planning - Pricing was clear and concise, in the planning stages, I never got the impression that they were trying to up sell - The facility and decor is beautiful, great set up - The location is perfect for your guests - within walking distance of almost all points of interest downtown, plenty of places to go after your event THE BAD: - I would highly recommend going with the full open bar package, as opposed to consumption bar, because they will get you here - none of our guests were even aware of the consumption bar, yet we heard completely unsolicited comments from many guests (and experienced it firsthand) that the staff was very quick to bus glassware with, in many cases, completely full beverages. Our total bill reflected an extremely high drink average per person, to the extent that if true, it would have been negligent on the bartenders parts. When the concern was expressed to Marta and Jon, Jon explained that guests averaging over 7 drinks per person was "pretty average" for a 4 hour event. Left us feeling like we got really ripped off, which is not awesome. - The food was cold. It was buffet style, which makes it harder to control temperatures, but I was the first person to eat :/ - Make sure your guests know which space to show up to for your event - despite assurances that it would be well marked/staffed, we had quite a few guests who missed our ceremony or watched it from the stairs, because they went to the wrong wedding downstairs.

Ive now had two events at The Venue. The first was my wedding, in 2015. The second was an academic event in early 2017. Both experiences were nothing short of exceptional. Martas business model centers around customer service and she delivers. If youre seeking a wedding venue, The Venue is a bit more expensive in food and beverage costs, but much less expensive on the cost of the venue rental itself. I, personally, would rather spend the money on beautifully prepared, delicious food, and a full bar, than on the room rental, so this model made sense to me. They also allowed us to fully create two signature bar items, and we were also able to take home unopened beer and wine afterwards. The staff at my wedding brought my husband and I hors douerves and cocktails to us in a separate area before we greeted our guests because they knew we wouldnt have time. They also stopped me multiple times to ensure that I ate and enjoy ed the moments in between visiting with guests. I couldnt have asked for a better experience then or at my more recent event. They offer family style food service, too, which I really enjoyed as an alternative to the traditional plated meal. One upgrade has been made since 2015: the seating. The older chairs were lovely, but the new ones are more modern and comfortable. I would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone looking to host an event. They exemplify customer service and are extremely professional.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Venue on May 20, 2017. From the moment we booked the space at The Venue, the staff was incredibly attentive, sweet, creative, and thoughtful. Amanda made sure everything went smoothly and ensured that all of our requests were fulfilled. Paige was beyond detail-oriented and helped us plan everything down to the tiny details. Tara and Maggie jumped in and helped with day-of details that we did not even think of before the day arrived – they were lifesavers! Honestly, it felt like we were all friends by the end of the weekend –everyone exceeded our expectations. When the wedding day arrived, The Venue was absolutely gorgeous, and the staff worked together to create our dream wedding. We were surrounded by all of our loved ones in a beautiful space, and the staff worked tirelessly to be sure all guests had a wonderful time. In addition to The Venue’s fabulous location, the food was delicious and the space was perfect for dancing. Thank you all for everything! We would recommend The Venue to all of our family, friends, and anyone looking to host a wedding in Asheville.

Our experience at The Venue in Asheville was amazing! We held a Welcome to Asheville party there the night before our wedding. Our initial tour with Marta was unscheduled and last minute (on our end), and she was super accommodating and flexible with us. After that, all of our questions got answered right away by either Marta or Amanda. Then our last meeting with Amanda weeks before the event went so well. She was extremely thorough and helpful. They helped us throw the type of party we had envisioned and at no point did we feel pushed to spend extra money to do what we wanted. The staff at the event were all super friendly and treated our guests with respect. The food was some of the best food weve ever had in Asheville, and that says a lot about the chef because there is some great food in the city! The decorations they provided were beautiful, we barely had to add any extra. Overall, it was an outstanding experience and I would recommend The Venue in Asheville to anyone for your big event!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Venue and the whole experience was a great one! From the beginning, the staff were courteous and knowledgeable. They were easy to contact and quick with answers/responses. The planning team had lots of great ideas and working with them was a pleasure. On the day of the wedding, everything was set up as I had planned and the setting was gorgeous! The coordinators are extremely professional and made the day go exactly as I had hoped it would. I had nothing to stress over. All details were taken care of. I am still hearing compliments from my guests as to how impressed they were with the Venue and staff. I cannot forget to mention the food. AMAZING! Again, I am still getting compliments and my friends have even been inspired to recreate the dishes. I highly recommend The Venue if you are getting married in Asheville!

Stop clicking. No, seriously, your search for the perfect venue is officially over. But dont let that stunning interior and gorgeous decor fool.... Its the people behind the curtain you need to stick around for. Jon, Marta and their team of miracle makers made our recent wedding one for the books. From the beginning to the end of the planning process (and beyond) weve been blown away by their level of professionalism, care and diligence in ensuring our day was everything we envisioned. And dont get us started on the food (spectacular) or the level of service (second to none)! Stop in and see for yourself... you wont be sorry! I work at AC Reynolds High School and Im one of the prom organizers. Last year we choose The Venue for our school prom and from the beginning Deandra was wonderful to work with. As a matter of fact, of the four other venues we had worked with in past years, this was the easiest and most helpful experience wed had. That made our decision to have the 2017 prom there again. Deandra and her team were very accommodating and extremely attentive. A beautiful place with a wonderful atmosphere and the most helpful staff. It was a perfect experience for our students, staff, and we were very impressed and delighted to be working with Deandra.
