The first time I ever went here I got my hair cut. I brought a picture of the bangs i wanted. Normally, a family member cuts my hair, she has since i was born and works at a salon. She was out of town and i needed it done so i went here. It took over an hour to do a trim, layers (which she cut when it was dry) and trimming my bangs. Overall i liked it. The next time i went in was much less than great. I went to get my makeup done. i was just going out to dinner but i wanted to try it before i scheduled them to do anything more important. First off, they didnt even have black eyeshadow, so she couldnt do a black smokey eye. She also couldnt find an eyeliner sharpener, and im unsure whether she even disinfected before use once she wandered around the salon looking to borrow someones. she basically pulled a shoe box of random old makeup out and had me choose. she didnt even swatch the colors on her hand or anything. she then used a sponge applicator to apply, and "blend" my eyeshadow. i asked if she had a plum eyeshadow since she didnt have black and we settled on a brown i thought was plum. she did the brown shadow with a white base underneath, and lined my upper lid with purple eyeliner? she then hardly put any mascara on, and only on the corners of my eye. finally, she only said she had brown lipgloss, which i did not want. her teacher said it looked great! it was dark in there and i couldnt really see so i thought it looked ok. once i got outside i realized in the sun it looked horrible, i was embarrased to even be seen driving with such an atrocity painted on my face. i could tell she didnt apply the concealer/foundation across my whole face and just in spots, so my face looked very uneven. i know the tools are not her fault, but i feel like i could of spent the $9 on drugstore makeup and figured out how to do it myself on youtube instead of paying someone to use old gross makeup on me. i went home immediately and washed it off. i completely understand it was a teaching school, but i dont understand how a teacher could ok something so terrible. it has made me think twice to use their services again.

I made a really bad decision getting my haircut here. I was suckered in by the low prices, well theres a reason for that. The people were nice but the girl did not know what she was doing, she careless hacked away at my hair with a razor. I asked for my bangs to be atleast to the top of my cheekbone and theyre now above my eyebrow and so hard to style now! My bangs were so long before I came into this place, anything couldve been done with them but she ruined my bangs and hair. She didnt even straighten it for me and did the worse teasing job ive ever seen (Im a licensed hair stylist myself) It wasnt until I got home and straightened my own hair that I saw the real damage and could not keep from crying. It was not blended, the ends were extremely blunt, It looked like I had a mullet and it was uneven and jacked up.. my once bob was now shorter on the sides than in the back, it was hideous. I called to complain and ask for a refund but apparently they camouflaged a liability contract with small writing as a sign in sheet, the lady didnt even tell me what I was signing when I asked "Do I sign in?" so I was told they couldnt give a refund but they could fix my hair and place me with someone more experienced, why didnt they place me with someone with more experience in the first place instead of putting me through such a mess? The girl that cut my hair was obviously not ready to start cutting real peoples hair and obviously needed more practice on mannequin heads. The instructor had to fix my awful bang job and the instructor didnt even bother to check my haircut before I left to see if it was even, how was she able to grade that girls haircut when she never checked it? My instructor always checked all the girls haircuts before the client left, its called cross-checking!! They should know that because theyre supposedly "professional". I ended up getting my hair fixed by a girl I went to school with. Biggest waste of money and time Ive ever spent at a salon. I will never ever go there again and I do not advise anyone go there unless youre ready to for your hair to be jacked up like you wouldnt believe.

Ok the person below OBVIOUSLY doesnt read and doesnt realize how ignorant they are. HELLO. IT IS A SCHOOL. YOU WENT TO A SCHOOL TO GET YOUR HAIR DONE. Obviously the girl didnt know what she was doing SHE WAS A STUDENT. The paper you signed when you went into the school for an appointment tells you that, learn to read before you go to a beauty school to get your hair done. Why would you sign something without reading it? Is that how you go on normally with your life? Anytime you are at a beauty school, you have to sign a waiver saying what the liability is. if you are a licensed hairstylist like you claim to be, why would you go to a beauty school to get your hair done when you know its a school and you had been a student before? What? It takes schooling and dedication to get a real license. Grow up and learn to read. Overall the school is great. I go in every few months to get my hair colored and cut for only 30 dollars. No problems, It does take awhile but its a school. You have to have patience when you go in and show them EXACTLY what you want to do with your hair. Bring pictures of colors and styles. The girls that Ive had were always cheerful and would talk to me. There was never a dull moment. The teachers do walk around and check on their students. I had a girl today that had been there for 6 months so she was still learning and the teacher was there the entire time to help her with everything to do with my hair. I recommend the school because it has a great atmosphere, great prices and very friendly people. Just make sure to realize although it has "professional" in the title, its a school. People pay to go to school there. They dont make money while they are there. They are there to learn. Be patient and show them what you want to do. The more practice they have, the better stylist they will be.
