I went to this salon for the first time today. I was refer to it, (and stylist Christina T) by a good friend. My hair was a hot mess - it was damaged from a color process treatment done earlier in the week by another stylist . Its the first time in my life that I did not know what to do or how to correct what someone did to my hair. I literally couldnt run my fingers through it, nor brush - wet or dry. I arrived at the salon just a few minutes ahead of my appointment. The salon was clean, neat contemporary and the staff was friendly and helpful. More than once someone updated me as I waited for Christina to greet me for my appointment. They came and got me and started the shampoo process, letting me know shed be with me shorty - they just didnt want me to have to wait. Kristin started my shampoo and she listen to my concern, and acted accordingly. (I dont like a rough shampoo) Before she could complete the shampoo, Christina arrive eager to address my concerns. She began a wet treatment by messaging the product into my hair for quite sometime - nearly 10/15 minutes. She was careful to get every hair on my head. When she started it was difficult for her fingers to get through my wet hair, they got tangled in it quite a bit. As the treatment progressed - it became easier and easier and soon he fingers were gliding through my wet hair. ((HUGE POINT - Something that hadnt happened for me in 4 days - I couldnt get fingers or a brush through my hair.)) When she was done she took me to her station, dried and style my hair and POOF - MAGIC, my hair looked and felt great - and I was so happy to have my bouncing bob again instead of the rats nest the other salon gave me! GREAT SALON - EXCELLENT STYLIST (Who listened) and COURTEOUS STAFF. A+++ or 5 Stars in my book all day long. I write reviews only when I am emotional drawn to do so, and I truly want to do so today for Christina and her extra effort! I will be back to see Christina in 2 weeks, and I am looking forward to it!

I went to this salon 3 times in my life, the first time I left unhappy called the owner and she basically told me to f off like I was making it up, the second time was great and the stylist was great, the third time I went and got a perm which I did not want an 80s perm and sat down and explained to the "perm girl" what I wanted for 10 minutes before I even got in the chair and she told me she could do it only to have my hair looking like a crimped piece of crap, I went to 3 different stylists to show them my new perm and all of them told me I needed to go back in and show them (which I did not want to after the first experience ) so I did end up going back because I just wanted to see what I could do to try to fix it, and the lady told me I needed a trim, I had to get 5 inches cut off and I am not happy, the biggest let down is after when I was crying in the chair after seeing what this girl did to my hair and was trying to explain again to her what I wanted she told me "well if I would of done that it wouldnt of lasted long"! Those words still haunt me! If you knew what I wanted and did not do it cause it would not last long isnt that my decision to make? I am so upset.

Ive been going to Legal Hair since I was a little girl (for about 15 years) and continue to be impressed with the service I receive. The staff is professional, talented, and very friendly. I have never received a hair cut with which I was not completely impressed. The stylists are always aware of new styles and trends and use the best techniques to give the ultimate cut. The price is well worth the experience. Every time I want my hair cut, I return from Pittsburgh to Legal Hair so the same stylist can cut my hair. The salon itself is extremely well-kept, updated, and always spotlessly clean. They also offer various rewards for frequent customers which is great when buying from their generous variety of products. I would not go anywhere but Legal Hair!

I went to legal hair to have my eyebrows waxed and the girl who did them missed a good amount of hair. I had to tweeze when i got home. If I pay someone, I want it done properly. I thought maybe it was just that one girl so I went back another time and the results were worse. The girl waxed to much off of one of my eyebrows. It looked horrible and they were noticeably uneven. I dont have the courage to go back and try again.

I didnt hate being there, what i DID hate was my toe infection! I had to leave my vacation to go to URGENT CARE because my toe was GREEN!!! I got a pedicure and my toes were sore for 2.5 weeks, thats when my toe became too swollen to even walk on. I was in pain and am still on antibiotics. Talking to other people around town... im not the only one who has gotten an infection this summer. Clean your tools, Legal!

It is a great thing for a smaller community like Steubenville to have such an expansive, innovative and awesome spa and salon. I was a customer until i moved away, but returned for the holidays ... took my girlfriend (who is from New York- & not the easiest to please) to Legal and she loved it. THANKS for making my town look good. Keep up the great work! I highly recommend them.
