I have visited this school a number of times to receive touchups to my hair and have had wonderful experiences until my most recent trip. I had a different student because the normal girl I use was unavailable and a different teacher with this student. it was evident friom the start of her just parting mhy hair that she was not very knowledgeable on her skills which is what I expect when attending a school. The teacher was very unattentive to the student and wasnt watching her while she as putting bleach on my hair. The few times that the teacher did come over she just looked at the foils for like 30 seconds and walked away. I was at the salon for over 5 hours getting my hair lightened which is normally only a few hours. I watched the clock as the student was applying bleach and noticed that the lightener had been in my hair for over two hours. I also asked for my highlights to just be brought up to the root and a few more placed underneath the crown of my head. when I left the salon 5 hours later. my hair felt like straw and there was an intense amount of blonde in my hair for a brunette who went in for highlights. when I called the salon the teacher I felt was very rude to me and was unwilling to fixed my hair. I had never left a salon after having it lightened where it felt so dry and damaged and never had bleach left in my hair that long. when I went to another salon to have my hair fixed a few days after this I had o have over 2 inches of my hair cut off because of damage and she showed me all of the breakage that occurred underneath and that the pieces that she added in under my crown that were in for hours were actually white because they had been so over processed. I never thought that a school wouldnt watch their students working on a client and I didnt think that I could have such a poor experience because of the others that I had that were so amazing. with that being said I will return and will insist on a better teacher and the same student who did my hair the last few times. I am just very unimpressed by that visit and the teacher not willing to fix her mistake she just kept telling me "its what you said you wanted". I definitely didnt ask for that kind of treatment and for my hair to be so poorly taken care of. I was unable to make attempts to let anyone higher up at the school know of my experience because it was as if nobody would let me talk to them. I also dont blame the student because she was just trying to learn, I blame the instructor for not paying better attention she should have known better. I also recall a look on her face when she was checking the foils, she knew she messed up but she didnt want to own up to it. I spent over a hundred dollars on top of the near 100 that I spend on my hair at the school to get this fixed.

I recently moved to the area after living in Las Vegas and San Diego, where in each place I went to the local Paul Mitchell school. I started going as a grad student due to lack of budget, but cant break the habit because the quality of the cut/color/products is fantastic, and that is just as true at this location in the Cleveland outskirts. Specific to this location, it is in a nice area and the building is airy and clean, always buzzing with activity. Of course it is a school, so budget in several hours, and you will not be disappointed as there are several opportunities for both the stylists and you to assess how it is going and make desired improvements. Sure its not high-end Beverly Hills results, but I will say this: I have NEVER left sad/embarrassed/frustrated. It is the ONLY school I can say that about. I am taking off 1 star because the service is not consistent here as at other locations. The attitudes of the stylists have ranged from fantastic to I-would-rather-be-somewhere-else-this-Saturday. So find someone that works for you and stick with them.

They messed up my hair.I asked for phase 2 and they gave me a phase 1.I wanted my hair to be dyed a medium ashy brown but got a dark golden and orange mix.to top it off only the top half of my hair got dyed and my bottom half remained mostly unchanged.its still very close to my natural hair color. At one point my hair was literally orange at the top and all they did was dye over it to conceal it but it didnt seem to work so well.then another girl cut my hair and she did it unevenly.I spent over 6 hours and hated what was done. The manager wasnt friendly and they still make me pay the full amount.I got home and immediately saw my roots hadnt even been dyed.I get its a school but atleast do the job right.Im going back and asking my hair be fixed.Fingers crossed they actually fix it and do it right this time. Update:I went back and all they fixed for no charge was my haircut.I wouldve had to pay for anything else I wanted fixed.Overall not a good experience and this was my last visit.

The lovely salon experience begins with the friendly and happy person who greets you at the front desk. The assigned student welcomes you and takes you to his/her station promptly. They listen carefully during the consultation and relay that information to a learning leader who listens to the students plan for carrying out the service and makes suggestions on how to effectively perform the services required by the customer. The student I had was efficient and skilled in coloring my hair, giving highlights and then cutting my hair. Ive been going to Paul Mitchell for about 8 years and enjoy both the skill level and the price of salon services vs. those in a private salon. I keep coming back because Ive never had a bad experience.

What a fantastic and refreshing experience! Paul Mitchell The School Cleveland has a stellar program with superstar faculty, staff, and students who provide top notch services to their clientele. Everyone there is very creative and professional, which I admire. By working in a very supportive learning environment, I have no doubt that the graduates of the Paul Mitchell program will be leaders in their field in the future. I highly recommend everyone in Northeast Ohio to check out Paul Mitchell The School Cleveland (for client services or professional training) and I look forward to my next appointment in Twinsburg soon. :-)

I switched over to getting my hair done at the Ohio Academy when the salons were getting too expensive for my budget. The students there are good (there will always be the one bad experience I suppose but that would happen at a nice salon too). The teachers walk around the area checking the students and the students have to get their plan for your hair checked off before they can start. So there is supervision. The only downside is that it takes a longer time than at other places. Some of the students are more hesitant and because we have to wait for the teacher sometimes expect to be there for a little while.

Im a natural hair wearing woman. I was a little scared at first to go in and get my hair done because I didnt know what to expect. Upon arrival everyone was super professional, polite & attentive. They checked me in right away and I waited about five minutes for my stylist to come get me. Tanesha, was very nice & helpful. Id received a blow dry & style and Ive not seen my hair so straight since my relaxer days. Tanesha was so good that I ended up giving her a $10 tip because she definitely deserved it. Id recommend Paul Mitchell to anyone & my hair looks and feels wonderful! THANK YOU GUYS!
