I leased my house through Chinowth&Cohen for less than a year and its now in total disarray. After detailing my experience in a formal way I was treated with disdain and mocked. The staff suggested that I was the only home on their roster that had any issues. The owner, Lee Cohen, had the audacity to offer me a measly $70 when the house needed thousands in repairs. They took every corner to deny and obscure that any repairs could be their responsibility. And when I threatened legal action: they baulked at me, going as far as suggesting they had an army of lawyers who would cause my small grievance to be an endless assortment of court / attorney / legal fees. I dont know who picks on little guys cause I dont, so to me this really hurt and felt totally uncalled for. It wasnt just about the home or the money, now it was about respect for me as a client. You see, my family only owns one house and its something we try and take care of from afar. Ive spent years dealing with leasing agents and tenants but nothing as egregious has ever happened. Then to have it all thrown back in my face was beyond insulting and disrespectful. I guess I should have never assumed that the service they provided was a partnership. Or at the least, that they cared about own quaint rental home. Upon sharing the lease with my attorney it was clear that they had made every word to obfuscate their responsibility from themselves to the owner and/or Tennant. They lied to me and my family consistently but there was nothing we could do to get out of the contract. And they did so in ways that couldnt be documented. I would guess we are not the first lie they told to a client— this was their general plan of action. All I can gather is that they operate out of pure greed. They dont care about the people they work with or for. So, if you care about your property— dont let them in. Theyre service is terrible and they are not trustworthy. Let alone, when something does go wrong, theyll go the extra mile to make it your problem and not theirs. If I could give them zero stars I would. The simple fact that they refused to own up to the issues by refunding our fees should say everything you need to know.

Experience: Top notch & a cut above. Why 1: My C&C realtor (Leland Chinowth) was unbelievably sharp & knowledgeable about the homes/schools, my search, the individual homes we visited, & somehow managed to negotiate acceptance of my initial offer, which saved me a ton of the $ I was actually prepared to spend for my house. Why 2: Inspections, repairs, closing were a breeze. C&C was always on top of it. Why 3: There was a distinctly elevated level of professional culture, atmosphere, & demeanor among C&Cs realtors and in their offices. Its clearly intentional, and it elevated my confidence/mindset. Why 4: I never saw anyone in the C&C office who seemed to have a casual attitude/approach about the business at hand (buying/selling homes), which I have seen w/ other companies Ive worked w/ over my lifetime.

Have purchased and sold 5 homes over the past 12 years, 3 of which were in Tulsa and each with a different real estate company. I can honestly say Chinowth & Cohen have been the absolute best to work with. They were very professional and hard working. We were moving back to Tulsa from out of state and our agent spent 3 full days showing us nearly 30 homes to make sure we were happy and found exactly what we were looking for. Made what has previously been a very stressful experience, very enjoyable and relaxing.
