I used this shop once before and i believe Martys 1 star unsatisfactory opinion. I wasnt impressed with there service or prices. Personally, I will never go back. Recomendation for Marty: You said you went to the shop based on positive reviews. I dont know in this case but A lot of 5 star reviews on the internet are wrote by relatives. Next time, always look at the negatives instead of the positives. Give positive reviews very little weight. Martys review: by martymoenjoe 11/14/2009 Horrible experience. Will never use again. Selected them based on previous reviews, location, and feeling good about communication over the phone. Thus, its only fitting that I communicate my experience so others may look for other options. I had car towed there for a failed fuel pump. Fuel pump is in the gas tank on my car. They charge a diagnostic fee to determine the problem which is expected, but they dont waive the fee after doing the work like other auto shops. (1st warning Im being overcharged). I express this over the phone and Im given a 10% discount which leaves me with a $10 diagnostic fee. They appear very professional & organized, but that is where it ends. I left content even though I paid over $700 for the repair and figured you get what you pay for. However, I try to put gas in car that evening and gas spews out as if it is full. Take it back to shop the next day and explain the problem. Later Im told the gas hose inside the rubber hose is corroded and that the mechanic noticed this when he started working on it. They dont want to accept full blame for the problem but realize this is odd, so they charge $20 for the hose and $10 for the gas they put in. I tell him Im not happy, but it is what it is. He states that when I see the hose, Ill understand. I go to pick up the car and the mechanic is in the office. The mechanic initiates the conversation saying the hose was old and corroded and it must have collapsed when the fuel pump failed. I ask to see the hose. The mechanic shows it to me and it is obvious that the aluminum gas line inside the rubber hose is not corroded or collapsed, but bent/pinched in two places. I tell the mechanice it looks like when he lowered the gas tank, he didnt disconnect the hose. (which pulled down on the hose and pressed it against the frame of the car. The aluminum gas line that funnels the gas into the tank was pinched and it created a bottle neck effect for the gas, which is why gas would spill out as I tried to fill it up.) The mechanic became loud and argumentative saying it was like that when he saw it. I asked how can you see it if it is covered by a rubber hose and your suppose to be focused on the gas tank. The mechanic became loud, rude, and very defensive. I told him Im not here to argue with you, this problem occurred b/c of you and your charging us for your error. Things happen, but your not being honorable. The mechanic stuck to his story frustrating my wife and I further. I paid the $30 reluctantly because the service advisor had left for the day and was not there to make a managerial decision. Recapping the negatives ... #1 Gary Johnston over charges customers with the diagnostic fee b/c other repair shops will waive this fee if they do the work. #2 They do not hold their mechanics accountable for damages, errors, mishaps and worse ... they try to cover it up. #3 They do not provide a good level of service to those who return their vehicles for a problem that has been paid for. #4 The service advisor was not available when I came to pick up the car the 2nd time, after I had communicated that I was not happy with the additional $30 charge. Again, poor service. #5 They allowed their mechanic to be confrontational, rude, and unprofessional while attempting to cover his error. If they went out of business tomorrow, that wouldnt be soon enough. Car owners beware.

I brought my F-150 to Gary Johnstons with the hope that they would live up to the good reviews. Needless to say, it was the worst experience I have ever had with a shop. Not only did they not fix the truck at all, they kept the truck there for nearly a month and tried to hide the fact that they werent going to work on it. They never contacted me, even after telling me they were going to work on it. I went there and picked my truck up and brought to a different shop. It was fixed there within 1 week and will never go back to this place, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. Terrible service and terrible experience.

Had several noises on my truck and other items that needed repaired. I was pretty concerned with how much it was going to cost. Also I always heard about the mechanic shop that ALWAYS finds something else to be repaired. I can confidently say the guys at Gary Johnston were VERY easy to work with. The office staff had great customer service, the waiting room was clean and inviting. The price was on the mark for all that I got done (I got a lot done). They did not try to sell me things I didnt need. Hopefully, I dont have a reason to see them soon but if I do I will definitely go back to Gary Johnston.

I had several preventive maintenance items done to my pickup. They said it would be done when I got off work. They finished on time and at a very reasonable cost. It is very difficult to find a fair, honest and reliable business. Gary Johnston is all of those. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. I had a car question on a separate issue and when I called he took time to answer my question. At no time did I ever feel pressured to end my call. I would whole-heartedly recommend this company.

Iove these guys. They are awesome. I was going out of town, and needed a quick oil and tire rotation in short notice. These guys didnt give it a second thought. They took care of me right away, and today I stop by to get a multiPoint vehicle inspection, and they even pointed out the trouble areas. They even told me an estimate of how much I would spend to get it fix FAST AND FRIENDLY SERVICE at a great cost. Casey YOURE Awesome see you soon.... :)Excellent service In TULSA....

Me and my fiance brought our altima in for some work on the steering when the work was done i thought it seemed a little high but paid it anyways the next morning i was called to come back and pick up a refund of 100.00 that they mistakenly overcharged. When i went in i mentioned that the alignment seemed off so they are going to fix it at no cost. They seem honest and want to make sure you are happy with their work and they really care about what their customers think.

When they want you to chose them over another shop, they will call non-stop and tell you what you want to hear. But once you choose them, they wont update you on anything. You have to call them and leave many messages. My truck kept getting pushed back but I had to constantly call them. It was just hard to believe because of how persistent they were when they wanted my business. Very disappointing. Worst shop experience I have ever had!
